Im gonna have to pass on that lmao. I got 3 clears on prestige and they have all been awful. Did them only because some specific people in my clan needed it. cc:
JohnOfMars TheChillyAcademic :morgan: . I had 2.6k hours in D1 and 20% of that was PVE for a reason. And thats not because I'm bad at it (see the pic), i just tend to stick to PVP :P
Offer is always there regardless.
I don't blame you though. Prestige has very little to offer for what you have to put in. For a lot of people (not you), because they don't want to do it (or would rather cheese it) they haven't developed the confidence or skill to just breeze through it. I play with other sherpas, like myself and people who do professional carries. Playing it so many times, it's become routine. Trials is basically the same for you and others that I know who do virtually nothing but PvP.
Over time you learn all of the little details and nuances that make the difference between a good player and a great one. At that point, you just develope good habits and smart play. As I said earlier, I'm a decent, at best, PvP player mainly because I don't put as much time in it as I should. I need to spend more time playing with great players to pick up on their habits. I played competitive shooters in the past. I totally understand the mindset behind being aggressive and having map presence. I just haven't bothered putting that much time into Destiny, despite playing Trials as much as I do. Unfortunately, a lot of my more PvP focused friends have taken a break from the game, so getting a solid Trials team is difficult.
Anyway, Calus challenge is tomorrow. I don't expect it to be too bad at all. I imagine you'll be forced to do multiple damage phases because all players will eventually have to play in dark zone and throne room. For a lot of teams, this will be a huge problem. I just don't understand why people have so many issues when it comes to killing Psions. Throne room is just about using grenades, power weapons and supers effectively. There are a lot of enemies, they spawn in waves, allowing you to me to take them out gradually.
