Nice. I've been eager to give this a whirl.

In this particular case, that might be an advantage. ;)Well, I don't have taste or smell (brain injury), so that I can't vouch for lol.
They've increased stock for the holidays. Seeing more on shelves is part of the plan to sell more.Went to Best Buy this weekend and they had shelves of Switches just sitting there. Walmart also had a ton. This is in southern California btw. I thought there were major stock issues, but that doesn't seem to be the case where I live.
Same stuff here cause you can get retail copies for slightly cheaper depending on where you buy and any pre-release discount. Competition and stuff. Digital games are at normal price but they end up being more expensive.Hi everyone.
Just got my switch and was wondering if digital games are cheaper or more expensive where you are.
I still don't understand why Japanese digital games are more expensive than if I went to the shop and bought a physical copy.
Yeah I have been eyeing up amazon.Same stuff here cause you can get retail copies for slightly cheaper depending on where you buy and any pre-release discount. Competition and stuff. Digital games are at normal price but they end up being more expensive.
That said in japan you're probably better off buying Nintendo games digitally on amazon.jp, they're usually cheaper than the japanese eshop. Won't help for small indies but still. I'm guessing you know that, but just in case.

Just got an email stating that Tiny Metal was delayed until December 21st....My thanksgiving plans are shot lol
It's not a "trick," it's just using their digital store by setting the country on your main (or other) account to South Africa. It works fine.So any Canadians tried the South African store trick for digital purchases?
Does it actually work?

For many things, yes.
For many things, yes.
http://eshop-prices.com will give you an idea (ZAF is the country code for South Africa).
I give up.
I managed to get a replacement pack for 2 glass screen protectors (I fucked up before) and manged to install both of the with no air bubbles at all after doing the shower trick but both times a hair managed to get in.
Sigh.
I rather not get it off. Knowing me I will fuck up.Did you use the tape hinge method? That's what I did and got a relatively good result with the exception of one or two tiny air bubbles. The first time I started to apply it I noticed a small hair, so I lifted it and used some tape to lightly tap it, then it came off fine without ruining the screen protector. Glad I did it alright because I had already wasted one, and not to mention all the things that've brushed against the screen like the dock since then.
Oh shit, 400 GB is out now? Welp, that bodes well for sticking with just micro SD in the long run (and makes it all the more exasperating that the Vita had to go with proprietary storage... though it well could have been unable to support that high a size anyway just from Sony not bothering to be forward thinking or patching it in when relevant.)
SUPERBEAT: XONiC is out today on the Nintendo Switch, and if you like rhythm games you should probably check it out.
Octopath Traveller and Puyo Puyo demos are your friends. Do yourself a favor and check them out.So pretty shitty selection of demos on the eShop. No F2P games either. Boo.
I bought the system today but I won't be able to buy any games until I get paid on Friday.
It's already released in Japan (this, Dynasty Warriors 8 and Samurai Warriors were released by KT on the same day). No info on any localization yet.Is there an upcoming games thread? I saw on my JPN account that Warriors Orochi is coming, or is already released?
When will it hit US/EUR?
Ohhh that's too bad. I would play Orochi in the Switch! It's already released in Japan (this, Dynasty Warriors 8 and Samurai Warriors were released by KT on the same day). No info on any localization yet.

Jesus. All those games combined will probably last for your lifetime.
And we're just getting started with the switch.
Holy shit, poking around Best Buy's website and I see they have the blue joycon pair in stock. I don't think I've ever seen those in stock, much less in-store anywhere.

Man, I told myself when I bought the Switch that Mario Odyssey and Zelda were the only two games I wanted for the time being. Now I've purchased Snipperclips, I'm eyeballing another set of joycons and Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, I really want Mario + Rabbids, and after reading through the other thread about the Splatoon 2 update, I now want that. I've barely started Zelda and I know that's a monster of a game and I haven't even finished Odyssey yet.
WHAT THE HECK AM I SUPPOSED TO DO
I could criticise your financial management here, but instead I'll wholeheartedly recommend the Octopath demo if you're at all interested in the genre. It's short, yes - you may very well have tried and completed it already - but if not, give it a go. There's a reason people were raving about it while it was relevant.
Are there any deals on Splatoon 2 for Black Friday?
I'm definitely picking up Zelda but I'm either going to get Mario+Rabbids or Splatoon 2 as my second game. I'd like something with fun co-op for my wife and I to play together. We already have Snipperclips and have played Overcooked and Lovers in a Dangerous Spacetime on PS4.
For many games, yes - that's exactly how it works (including Mario Kart).Just ordered a switch, should be getting here in a couple of days.
Can anyone tell me how the controller works, specially for multiplayer games? Does the pad split up and work as 2 controllers?
Would like to play mario kart on 4 players and looking for the best solution.
Has Voez ever gone on sale? May be interested in picking it up.
Thanks for the recommendations!Splatoon 2 doesn't have local co-op.
Mario+Rabbids have local co-op, although you need to unlock the local multiplayer stages by playing through the single player campaign.
If you like puzzle co-op, you can take a look at Death Squared. If you like rhytm-based games, Super Beat Sports is great fun in 2-player co-op (specially the baseball game).
Putty Pals is a pure co-op game, and the game is better than its graphics. :-)
Here's the thread with all available local multiplayer games for Switch, BTW:
