It stays. I go between my ios phone and android tablet all day long. Everything else is synced.
Enjoying the game so far. The UI design is fantastic and the visuals are sharp, I like how they handle the distant backgrounds, which is kind of like the rolling log but with much longer draw distance, as if the log had a much larger diameter. Hopefully that's how they handle the Switch game, it feels like it'd be a big step up from New Leaf, while still maintaining the series' established psuedo-isometric camera angle. Hopefully things speed up once the launch rush dies down.

So once you place certain items at your camp and the animal visits you, it gives you the option right away to remove what you automatically placed.
Can I do that and the animal will still visit? It doesn't impact that, right?

Yup, they'll still be there even if you decide to put away the furniture.
I'm pretty sure you can remove the item with no impact. I crafted the love seat to get Rosie to come over, and after putting it away she is still there and seems fine. So it seems that maybe it's just an initial requirement but there is no ongoing obligation to keep that piece.

I'm almost level 12, but I feel like I've seen the majority of the gameplay loop by now. I don't know if I'm having fun. It's nice to watch numbers go up, but...I wish there was more to it.

I believe it allows animals to be friended to higher levels if the interests match.

Well, there's a reason I stop playing most F2P games after less than week besides maybe Terra Battle. The mechanics are usually not satisfying enough for me, even if it means checking in once a week. I was hoping the Animal Crossing hook would be enough for me. I would've felt the same regardless of what level I was.
To be fair, I started yesterday and I'm already lvl6. I haven't even played it much. If the game has no long term hook to excite the player and the gameplay loop is monotonous with in the first week, that doesn't sound like great design.
I've played a metric fuck ton of F2P mobile games, and this has to be one of the most boring gameplay loops ever... I've played every animal crossing game besides the N64 one but this is not hooking me at all... It feel like it's missing something...
Crafting is fun and all, but where is the incentive? Everyone gets the same animals in the long run, and there's no cool multiplayer features besides giving kudos to the same camps you've seen over and over...
I'll keep playing in very short bursts and hold out for updates that will hopefully keep me wanting to play, hopefully adding new features.
