We've been making hot toddys and cocoa all night . #beaconhill.

Honestly, we've hadn't had a power outage yet

Glad I still got power. I was driving through this rain earlier, it is nasty

We never lost power in Green Lake over night, sounds like KUOW's transmitter was knocked out and they were off the air for about four hours last night.

Thinking about it, in the ten years we've been in our house I remember losing power only once.

The only reason I really care is that I JUST did some major grocery shopping and made food for the week. Was kind of nice to be cut off from electronics for one night, even if it was a chilly one.

We were without power for about 17 hours. It sucked but I also enjoyed the lack of screens being on and actually started reading a book that has been waiting for a long time!

Ours just flickered twice, once enough to restart my computer. In the almost five years I've been where I'm currently at we've only had one power outage which is nice.

I might be going out on a limb, but I feel like the whole rampant corruption thing might have played a bigger factor.

We'd all show up, and instead of introducing ourselves we'd hang out acting like we were just there so we can check out the scene.. make eye contact with a few people but don't introduce yourself.. then all leave assuming no one actually showed up.

Basically would be no different than the atmosphere at any given bar in Seattle.

What would you like it to be? What was it in Toronto?

I did a meet up from another board but we went to a concert so there wasn't much taking.

I thought we would just compare our luxury SUVs and complain about our commutes.

Hey guys! I just moved here (live in Pike/Pine corridor). Do we have meet ups often?

The only meet-up I remember going to was at Grimm's on Capitol Hill, like... five years ago? That was a'ight.

Where the heck can I find a small Christmas tree on Capitol Hill? The QFC on Broadway only has a handful and they're very sad looking.

Saw some really nice ones in Kent on Thanksgiving, but of course the place was closed and I dunno if that's worth the drive and cost of a Zipcar to go this weekend.

We're probably going to Centro de la Raza on Beacon Hill. Take it home in the bus please! You'll start making memories immediately! Ha.

Had a date night last night on Capitol Hill: Ladybird at the Egyptian, dinner at Mamnoon and drinks at Pine Box. Always bums me out to see how much the neighborhood is changing.

They had Christmas trees (small, medium and large) at the University Farmers Market today. I bet they'll be at the Broadway market tomorrow.

You could also look to see if any of the schools up there will be selling them through their PTA. My daughter's elementary is doing that here in Green Lake and I wouldn't be surprised if they're doing the same in Capitol Hill.

Just landed from Thanksgiving in Tulum. Pissing rain and cold. Feels good man. Can't wait to get back to passively aggressively blowing off newcomers trying to befriend me.
