They have said they have a source that Incineroar is in the game but from what was said it's so flimsy that it's not impossible for the leak to be fake. Didn't the VG24/7 guy basically said the info came from one guy who said Simon and Isabelle are in?

Then what's even the point of their posts? "It's fake but I can't actually prove why." Who does that help?
I mean I think they're all coming from credible sources, I just wonder if it's possible that Incineroar got Chrom'd.
This was one explanation. Jonneh said something similar. Some others may have different motivations: they see something that is fake, and feel like using their position to say so. Who knows. They're not a monolith. They have different track records, possibly different sources.

The most recent thing for Mach Rider's standing on gender is Melee where it's claimed to be a man by using him pronouns. Granted if he wanted to Sakurai could recanonize Mach Rider to be a woman or have an alt that is a woman.
While the bike could be something else where would Mach Rider's bike be then?

In Vs. Mach Rider, the arcade version, you gradually uncovered an image which replaced Mach Rider with a woman in gogo boots carrying a knife. There's no explanation of who she is, and there are no other characters in the game, so it could be Mach Rider.
The most obvious other explanation is that Mach Rider is searching for survivors in the apocalypse, so maybe it's a survivor. But it's never actually stated that he found any.
Vs. Mach Rider is a little older than Metroid, by the way.

I never knew Banjo was pushed this much in the United States. The only commercials we got in Latin America were the ones directly related to the game.
I know some people think the YouTube and Twitter personalities are desperately trying to cling to relevance, but speaking as someone without a big social media following or anything to gain by lying, trust me when I say that it's close to impossible for the Grinch leak to be real. I'm only being cryptic because I promised not to share anything publicly, and I assume the same goes for anyone else in a similar position. People aren't going to betray the trust of their friends and colleagues to satisfy anonymous forum posters.
Banjo wasn't really "my thing", but it's crazy to think about what BK could have become if rare never left. Would they be a major gaming icon today?
I think they would have faded away eventually. Gen 6 and 7 just were not kind to animal mascot collectathons.
I think Rare would have made a new IP along the lines of Jak and Ratchet.

Nintendo fans would definitely still be buying Banjo Kazooie games. They probably wouldn't be gaming icons. I don't think they were ever in comparison to other Nintendo properties. But new Banjo Kazooie games would probably still be million + sellers.
I suppose but whatever it is the leak just seems way too strong on it's own and all we have is your and your friends' word. Maybe you don't have any reason to lie but overall there's hardly anything that proves the leak is fake on it's own so best we can do is just see what happens but whatever the case is you have to admit it's hard to take your word at face value.
We shouldn't expect you to say anything that might screw someone over. At any rate, it seems like it's going to be an interesting time seeing what'll happen next.

I don't see why this guy would lie. He's always been good with the whole Smash thing. Plus it sounds like his source has connections with Microsoft and he can only say Banjo is real. It didn't sound like his source said it's all real
Nah. We had leaks that lasted forever back in Smash 4.
And this isn't the type to be forgotten. Image Leaks stick around longer in people minds.
Had the Ken leak happened before E3. We would've had tons of pages on that one as well.
If it happened before E3 then we would have the first hints that everyone is back because it has Pokemon Trainer/Ivysaur and Pichu
