Rick allowing himself to get caught by the garbage people has to be the dumbest shit I've ever seen on this show. I can't think of any tactical reason this serves for him.

This episode was pretty well-focused on "wolves among sheep", so it wouldn't surprise me if Rick had planned to get captured just so he could later escape and kill them all from the inside. Still stupid, though.

I am really enjoying this season so much more than last season. The last few episodes have been better and better.

That rocket launcher kill was the best lol!

Gregory just chewing scenery all episode lol.
Those Savior prisoners really are a pain in the ass. Even now they're still being all manipulative and smug lol.
Can't believe Michonne hit that ball lol. And had so much trouble with that lady having just a pipe when she had a damned sword. But LOL Daryl casually coming in crashing that truck from was quite good lol.

Carol being about to blast the door down and then Jerry telling her it's not locked made me laugh so hard lol
"He's trying to suck up to the Saviors now" lol

Yeah, I definitely think that for whatever reason that is part of his plan. Since he came with those photos to try but he also totally had a smirk on his face when she said "no". He didn't get a worried look at all.

I am able to look past a lot of the problems in this show except for these people. They are garbage.
Yep, time for them to get got.

Taking another shot at getting every single group against the Saviors probably would be my guess. Not that it was worth it since it's not like they are trustworthy even if they had said yes to him here.

As someone who mostly enjoyed this show till around the midpoint of Season 7, this season has been so disappointing outside of the Ezekiel/Carol episode. Bringing back the junkyard people certainly didn't help this episode.

I had forgotten that Jadis had shot Rick last season. Going back there, alone, and then threatening an ultimatum while you're surrounded and weaponless has to be one of the most ridiculous decisions Rick has ever made. Where is the hardened ruthless survivor we saw develop over six seasons? The one that could deliver "They're fucking with the wrong people" while his group is all captured and you felt like he totally meant it? That led his group from Atlanta to Virginia, that was able to lead Alexandria and co to defeat an entire horde? And he's doing things like now (not to mention his actions in the premiere)?

Like this episode had no cohesiveness. Now we're with Michonne, and she has to suddenly see the Sanctuary (because this episode needed another action scene). Now we're with Carl, and he's outside on his own again (aren't they in the middle of a war, why are they letting the son of the leader explore by himself).

Never thought I'd feel like deciding to stop watching TWD, but man, this season has felt listless. It doesn't feel like half a season has nearly gone by.

I'm trying to figure out how Morgan ends up on FTWD since Fear is still technically in the beginning of the apocalypse. Gonna have to be a time jump or something.

Fear the Walking Dead takes place like 3 years earlier than the current season of The Walking Dead, so either season 4 of Fear will have a big time jump (if not immediately, then part way in), which is doubtful, or else S4 of Fear will function as a sort of interquel for his character in between seasons 1 and 3 (Clear) of the main show.

And in that case, I'm going to have to assume that means he's going to die by the end of this season.

Abraham made so much more sense. Production was even moving to Texas.

Why capture the saviors and put them in hilltop jail? That's just asking for them to break out and cause casualties. The real Maggie would have put a bullet in the one guy trying to escape.

Why be nice to the saddique guy? Why not kill him? The real Carl would have offed him.

Abraham wouldn't have fit though. Remember his backstory?

After the onset of the outbreak, Abraham was present with his family alongside several of their neighbours in Houston where together they holed themselves up inside a local grocery store. However upon returning from a supply run, Abraham discovered that his once trusted comrades had raped his wife in his absence, causing Abraham to brutally retaliate, (killing four men in the process.) This event was witnessed by his family whom became traumatized by his actions to where eventually they decided to leave him out of fear.

After reading a note left behind, Abraham desperately searched for his family until he tragically discovered that his family had been devoured by walkers on the road; devastated by the loss of his entire family Abraham swiftly attempted to commit suicide only to be fatefully alerted by Eugene Porter whom he saved from three pursuing walkers whom Eugene then proposed to him an important mission. Upon being informed (under the unknowingly false pretence) of Eugene's ability to develop a cure - this led Abraham to a regained sense of purpose and thus he personally vowed to help deliver him to their intended destination - Washington D.C.

I'm pretty shocked at how absolutely bland and benign this show has become. The only reason that I'm still watching is that I'm still somewhat invested into the characters but even that draw is wearing thin.

But then they'd have to get Eugene to move over as well, either having him pull double duty on both shows or killing him off the main show, which might be problematic for future storylines.

About the only character development this show has ever had was people going back and forth between being a total pacifist to being a kill-em-all psycho.

Almost every character past and present has done that at some point.

Sucks that Lennie James got demoted (although I hear Fear has gotten better than the original show so, perhaps not).

Fear has been waaaaay better. Funny thing, when Fear started me and my wife didn't like it. We didn't even get through the first episode. About a year later we decided to give it another chance. Once we got past the first 2-3 episodes it got MUCH better.

My main gripe with Fear is that the whole appeal of the premise was seeing how the outbreak started and the early days of the apocalypse and then the show skips ahead like a week or two and jumps from the city to quarantined suburbs after like three episodes. I didn't care for S2 much at all, but my dad and brother said S3 was pretty great, so I might get back into Fear

It was halfway through season 2 I believe where I stoped watching, or whenever they leave that villa in Mexico that believe the walkers to be sacred. Couldn't muster up any interest to stick around for the second half. I've seen glimpses of season 3 every now and then but nothing much. Perhaps I'll get it another whirl. Who knows. They got Morgan now so perhaps that'll get me to watch.

Carol and Ezekiel's scenes are the only moments on this show that make me feel anything. Carol's speech to him was really good and the accompanying music lifted the scene even higher. For a minute and a half, I suspended disbelief.

What a fucking awful and bizarre episode that was.

Rick showing up alone and getting stripped fucking naked might be the absolute lowest point on the show, in terms of writing.

It's like everybody instantly lost half their IQ at the start of this episode. Carl risking his life and almost dying for a dumb philosophy of the mother of the guy he just met. Michonne fucking up and kicking a tennis ball and alerting Negan's goons. Rosita randomly losing her pistol. Rosita's decision to not only pick up the absolute worst weapon imaginable to fight two humans in an indoor, close quarter scenario, but then proceed with actually firing an RPG at one of the two people there. Rick committing suicide.

It's like the Threat Level Midnight episode of The Office.

What the ever living fuck did I just watch. Have these people really survived eight seasons of a zombie apocalypse? Are they auditioning for the next Austin Powers?

I dropped the show after the mid season finale of series 7 but it's both hilarious and fascinating reading people's reactions each week.

This season bored me to death, y'all. It's supposed to be an all out war so I expect action-packed. In stead we got all these back-story, dialogues-filled episodes with very little action. The only thing I remember from last night was rocket-launcher kill, that's it.

I think I will take a break next week and watch the last 2 episodes together.

Remember how Rick got when that one guy stabbed Gregory in Season 6? A huge fight happened and Rick turned to the camera while covered in blood and was like, "What?" so calmly.

Dude is an amazing actor.

Or how about that amazing scene where he almost cut Carl's hand off???

The first three episodes were just mindless gun fights that wasn't action enough?

I just cant... begin... to understand... what is going on with this show. How do they write this shit, film it and think yep, good job guys. It is just straight up garbage now. Why are we still getting scenes of these people bumbling around and falling over when fighting a few walkers? Why are Michonne and Rosita derping around alone in open fields and behaving like level 1 noobs? Oh here's a rocket launcher, oh now its gone just when I could use it to blow up the car driving away. WHAT? WHY? HOW DOES THIS MAKE SENSE? Why did Rick think his little adventure would go any other way here? Its just so inconsistent and mindbogglingly absurd at this point.

Pull your head out of your ass AMC and fix this show or end it. Its just embarrassing at this point, and this is coming from someone who loved the show from seasons 1 to 6.

Oh and can we please just cap that greasy long haired saviour in the head and be done with it. What a waste of time.

What makes even less sense then the show itself, is why people that dislike the show, continue to watch it.

- Shooting an RPG INSIDE when the dude was like 10 feet away. How the fuck did she even drop her gun? why didn't she pick it up?
- Michonne sucks at fighting and the girl hilariously gets away Batman style.
- Rick doing something that makes no sense.
- Carl stumbling over Walkers. Classic TWD horrible fake tension because they literally can't think of anything else.

Just tons and tons of stupid shit.

Cannot believe that rocket launcher kill.
For some reason, the garbage people queen is really hot to me. I have no idea why. She gives those "girl from the wilderness" vibes I guess.
