And this isnt the "stand behind a rally barricade and spam wardiff coil" right?

Is the cheese the 1 were you all kill yourself so Calus doesn't spawn enemies. Because if so why haven't they fixed that yet? Wasn't it find months ago at this point?

I'm referring to how you leave the fireteam after wiping as the count down reaches zero, thus leaving the doors open and preventing enemies from spawning. This works on ALL encounters, not just Calus. It's so lame. People even do this on normal mode which just blows my mind.

Dumbasses on LFG and all over do this, yet fail to grasp that they still need to understand and execute mechanics properly. So, word to the wise: Never join a group that's gonna cheese. They don't know what they're doing. You'll be stuck on an encounter forever and never finish.

Just do it the right way. Learn the mechanics and establish good habits. You'll be a better player for it and finish much quicker.

Oh, I didn't know it worked everywhere. Never done it personally, It just seems like a really boring way to do it and the ads really aren't much of a issue.

That too. It's just boring. It's straight up cheating in my opinion. I don't like it. I've only done it twice because I was with groups that insisted on doing it. I absolutely refuse to do it now though. I won't join or I'll straight up leave. I don't want that crap on my record on Raid Report. Plus, I'm just better than that.

Even yhe mention of the word campaign sends shivers down my spine after doing it three times

(I really enjoyed it the first time, just doing it twice after was so tedious)

But yeah, on my first character, it was a long grind going from 265 to 280, but then on my alts I flew through that gap no problem lol

Just killing time until CoO drops and I thought I'd take a peak at The Division since I haven't played it in months. Gotta say I'm extremely envious of its new horde mode that's dropping shortly. I wish Bungie would just give us a proper horde mode so we could grind to our hearts content.

It's really not that bad as I've done it it six times now (three on Xbox, three on PC). You just need a plan of sorts going in such as the 6th time I went through it very recently my character was at 305 PL before I even went to Nessus and from that point on I just plowed through it very quickly.

I apologize for the multiple noob questions I've asked in this thread, but I want to make sure I have something straight.

Right now I'm hovering around 270 with my first character. I've done all the Milestones I can manage for this week (Nightfall and Raid are out of my reach at this point). It's my understanding that at this point, leveling beyond where I am pretty much requires one of two things:

1. Luminous Engrams / "Powerful Gear" earned from weekly Milestones that will be leveled with me.
2. Exotic Engrams which have a very small chance to drop from world events.

Do I have this right? If that is the case, then wouldn't it make sense for me to start on building a 2nd or 3rd character of a different class up to the soft cap instead of grinding away with this character hoping for the tiny chance I'll get an Exotic drop?

Yes, but not limited to 1 and 2. Once you get to 280, you can get legendary mods which offer a +5 PL boost to your gear.
Also, if you're trying to get blues to level up current gear, the NF, Prestige and Crucible generally drop blues at +1 or +2 PL over what you would get from strikes and world events.
The post campaign exotics quests (one on each planet) will drop powerful gear 10-15 PL higher.
And no, the NF and normal raid are not out of your reach. Both are fine at 270+.

Tried the Nightfall yesterday and it didn't go well. The Raid is more of an issue with time and attention commitment than power level.
The nightfall needs a few tries but once you are at 270 there's literally no benefit to higher power level. At 280 you'll do and take the same damage as at 270. I did the NF yesterday at around 265 power and we finished with 4:58 left on the clock.

If you're in the discord maybe someone from there can help you out, or another tip is to watch a YouTube video for the anomaly locations.

Man yeah if you cheese the normal mode raid you are straight up bad. Why even do that. I refuse to even try. Luckily I got a bunch of completions before this all got discovered. Now I'm even more hesitant to lfg.

Lol. I'm going to do it six times (PC and PS4).

Anyone want to hazard a guess as to why I'm hesitant to do meditations?

Oh it is definitely worth doing the campaign on your other characters. But if you want you don't have to worry about leveling your gear. Having items from your other character to transfer over won't matter for most of it because weapons are level gated.

So if you have time in the mean time, go ahead and run just the campaign on another character. If you have someone else to run with you that helps a lot.

I finally ended up getting the Salty emote for one of my three characters! Ended up nearly selling all my shaders to get enough bright dust to buy it.

3250 is damn high for it though

I'm 45 away from buying spicy ramen. I'll never get six shooter on PS4 :/

Man the annoying thing is i probably didn't need to sell as much as I did (I sold some leg armor too). But there wasn't really other way for me to know how close I was.

Is it normally that high of price for emotes every other week? I never pay attention, but 3250 seems a bit high.

Yeah, I've never bought one before today. Salty is one of the only ones I haven't gotten and want it, so hey why not lol.

Does this mean with the DLC drop we get new emotes too?

That is definitely going to be the case with the selfie emote being exotic for sure. They are adding a new dance and a sweeping animation as well. These are just the ones that I have seen in videos.

Think I'll try and grind out 6 more engrams before Tuesday, hopefully I get salty one. I have the others and salty is my least favorite. Have enough to buy it just not sure if I should just get it or save for next seasons emotes.

Really glad the emote wheel is coming soon, right now it feels dumb.

Gotta love the people who try to dictate everything, claim to have "hundreds" of completions, yet die every goddamn second, use an oddball loadout and only have 14 total clears. Bonus points for having it all on stream too.

I know this is the Destiny 2 OT, but since i ran out of stuff to do there in D2 and decided to play some D1.

Man, there's still a good amount of people on it on ps4. And The Taken King story missions are so good too.

I feel your pain, been running through it for the 6th time on PC. I like the armour sets Ikora has but need a break from story missions :) even if you can run past big parts of them.

Apart from giving them a sparrow the other thing I found that helped was once I reached level 12-15ish I'd check on DIM what my max light could be for that character on each level up.
Having vaulted a bunch of stuff (blue scouts, some lower level purples etc) meant I could transfer some weapons and push their light up fairly quickly even before hitting 20 as well as play with some more fun guns.

Aye.

But I am super excited for sweeper bot emote. I'm going to put that on all my characters and spam it before public events so hard man lmao.

My friend had this issue. I'm asking him what it was. No idea if we can help but I'll see.
