True but they aren't her singles so it still stands true. And Mi Gente was for charity, so it wasn't like she was using the song for a #1.
Considering the song was a top 20 hit before her remix I'm sure she expected at least a week at #1
Yeah, I was surprised to see an email from Apple Music to steam it, when I already bought it. hmmm Get into Delicate and I Did Something Bad
I won't rule out that maybe she did want it to at least stay on the chart, but I don't think she seriously expected a number one for weeks. I think she would of went out of her way to make sure that was the case by doing the most to promote it but she didn't. So I don't think she really cared that much.

It's been a while since I love an entire body of work from him.
His first debut album was underwhelming and largely forgettable. I LOVED Kaleidoscope Dream, (his Magnus Opus imo). WILDHEART wasn't my favorite outside of two or three songs.
But War and Leisure.......This is giving me life. Off rip it's giving me the same love that I got from Kaleidoscope. It's poppy but synthy with his signature guitar riffs, his soulful hallowing vocals just ghosting all over the track that gives me goosebumps, and it sounds like overall a fun album for him to record.
It sounds like the right balance of WILDHEART mixed with Kaleidoscope that I wish was WH.
I knew this album was going to be good after sky walker so I'm happy that my expectations weren't wrong.
I havent had the proper time. From the few songs I heard I feel it's a very loud album, the production is sometimes so jarring and overpowered that it makes her voice seem like the weakest element.
I'd say Delicate is absolutely masterful.

It's not even a bad album. Even the ones that came across as full on cheese with the really silly videos are sounding pretty good to my ears now.

This queen just got hired at my office (so I'm not the only one anymore.. sigh) and he was in charge of prepping our Christmas meeting. He put up speakers in our meeting room and I swear he played Mariah Carey's Christmas music for hours.

Congrats to her! She is great, the album kind of suffered from all the singles being released before it came out...well except for maybe New Rules?
