So, just finished The Raven Remastered. I feel I definitely got my money's worth ($29.99), though this point and click game has its issues. Load times are a bit longer than I like (no idea how it is in other versions). It has a few areas with small graphical glitches (not Switch specific) and a few bugs (also not Switch specific) - so unless you like to repeat long sections where you know everything that is going to happen, I recommend you save every 10 minutes or so. The interface could be better, voice acting is good, the puzzles are mostly ok'ish, the story was good enough for me to want to continue even when I had to repeat a section (...), and the ending is very satisfying.

Really hoping FFVII isn't far off. I've been itching to replay it but since the commercial showing it I've been holding off for the Switch version.

That Reverie game looks good but man, the art style is almost a ripped straight from Mother 3

I have a real problem with New Star Manager. I can't put the damn game down. So addicting. Already starting season 3 and I've owned the game a few days

I'm against folders, because they require some extra work on my part, and I'm a lazy consumer.

But why the hell we can't have a damn search option in the screen displaying all the icons?

Sometimes, finding an old game is a hellish experience.

At least you can organize folders while watching TV in handheld mode. I've started using Vita remote play to organize PS4 stuff and my Fire Pro roster/creations while binging docs on Netflix.

All of my friends are super into Isaac. I feel like a sad, sad man because the game never clicked for me :(

Meanwhile, still having tons of fun with Shining Resonance while all of my friends think it's just OK.

What the hell is wrong with me?

We all like different things! Nothing wrong with you man. I used to think I would hate Isaac but something put me in the mood for a Gungeon-esque game recently and now it's all I want to play.

Shining Resonance looks interesting, but I always confuse it with Labyrinth of Refrain for some reason. Something about Resonance and Refrain... I don't know. Both audio/musical terms? Anyway, that's a dope screen grab.

You are a person who are able to be yourself. Stay that way.

BTW, I will probably get Shining Resonance in the future. I am indifferent to Tony's art, but JRPG is still my favorite genre. Glad you like the game.

I'm kidding, I'm fine with liking things my friends don't. I love the puzzled look on their faces when I show them a Björk video or a very weird painting :P

And this version of the game is called Shining Resonance Refrain, so that's why you confuse it with Labyrinth of Refrain.

Holy cow at that new sale! Interested in Guacamelee 2 (love metroidvanias), Horizon Chase, Figment, Nidhogg 2 (probably gonna drop this one, since I'm mostly into single player), Sundered, the next penelope (don't know why exactly) and the Bug butcher. I just bought Downwell + Rain World.. this is ridiculous. Any games in there that anyone wouldn't recommend?

You know a sale is huge when you need two posts to show it. xd

Not really much for me but i'm tempted to finally get V-Rally at that price.

Not much time until we see WWE 2k18 almost being offered for free. xD

Decent sale there thanks for posting tolkir

Thinking of buying Diablo 3 as my first Diablo game even though it's on sale on PS4 for £16 lol. Seems like Nintendo are definitely discounting their games more frequently, Captain Toad and Donkey Kong are there for this week, only like £10/15 off but on a random week I wasn't really expecting Nintendo games. Weird that Kirby still isn't there though, I believe that it has never been on sale once on the eShop- or am I mistaken and I missed it?

But yeah pretty much every Nintendo published Switch game that comes to mind that has been out a while has been on sale by this point aside from a couple of random ones like Kirby and...Suishi Strikers lol.

Guys, don't sleep on Dandara. I bought it at launch, and loved the unique movement mechanic and the themes/pixel art in the game. It can admittedly take a while to get used to the movement, but by the end, you'll feel like a wall-jumping ninja master. It's a wonderful take on the metroidvania genre, and it's an absolute steal at 5.99 (euro or usd, both regions on sale right now). The game is made by a small developer from Brazil, and the unique culture they bring to the game really shines through.

The Switch port of Diablo III is excellent, btw.

Bought Captain Toad, I liked the demo and was waiting for it to drop in price a bit.

Any impressions for Sky Gamblers that released today? I could do with a nice arcade flight game on my Switch, even if it isn't Ace Combat quality.

After all the praise to 'Bombslinger' as the roguelite version of 'Borberman' I'm really tempted with the game at its current price of €7.79.

The game is listed in the eShop as with a 4 player competitive mode.

But my question is, can the story mode be played by two persons with a co-op mode, instead of a competitive one?

It seems like a game easy enough to learn that my girlfriend can enjoy, but we very much prefer co-op experiences instead of competitive ones.

Also, for the brave souls buying every game priced at one buck, how is 'NoReload Heroes'? It seems like a roguelite in the vein of 'Enter the Gungeon', but with a more arcadey feeling resembling 'Assault Android Cactus'. In the videos it seems an okay and fun game, but the mixed reviews in Steam makes me cautious.

Defense Grid 2? Nice!

Love the first game. Never finished the second.

I might need to rebuy this one. Hope it's a good port.

To FIFA players: How substantial is the evolution of FIFA19 from FIFA18? Especially in terms of gameplay.

I enjoyed 18 quite a bit, but wonder if it's worth upgrading.

KEEN DREAMS??? Can't say I was expecting Commander Keen on the Switch. United States release when

WHAT THE WHAT.

Only other console release in the series was on Game Boy Color 18 years ago (one of my favorite underrated platformers on the system).

Whoever decided to bring Keen to Switch is a genius. There's no way this won't sell well. Perfect overlap with nostalgic millenials and retro enthusiasts, and it should hopefully attract a new younger crowd with its kid-friendly themes, too.

I saw Nintendolife liked City of Brass, which isn't surprising because it is a good game, and a devisive one I know there are those that just don't like this style of game, just still wondering about quality of game play and how well it runs for extended periods. As well I am always leery of NL period. But it seems like a good port of the updated version of the game.

Anybody play Reverie? Thoughts?

Lord of Ostia praised the Vita version of the game earlier in the thread. Also I'm doing a giveaway for the game here:

https://www.resetera.com/threads/ni...away-reverie-sweet-as-edition-4-copies.97977/

Thanks for the recommendation! I'd like to check it out for sure and I see it's free on Game Pass so I'll be sure to try it there.

Oh I'm just going by available footage. There aren't many reviews of AWAY so far (and the few available seem... Mixed)
https://www.metacritic.com/game/playstation-4/away-journey-to-the-unexpected

Still not really the kind of game I'd personally look for reviews of.
Apparently, about 6 billions different Baldur's Gate games come to the Switch this year:
https://nintendoeverything.com/bald...neverwinter-night-coming-to-switch-this-year/

Or 3 at least.
Holy shit, I literally added these to my list of stuff I wanna play this year a week ago.

Ok, 'Bombslinger' is legit, an incredibly well designed roguelite with a superb sound design, so satisfactory to play.

They nail the western thematic.

I need to say that I'm not a big 'Bomberman' fan, maybe because I have never played multiplayer 'Bomberman'...

But even having hated the single player aspect of 'Bomberman' in the past, 'Bombslinger' is the first 'Bomberman' variation that is resonating with me, maybe for the structure similar to 'The Binding of Isaac', full of sense of wonder and interesting items to pick.

Truly underrated eShop gem, that only have had my attention thanks to all the nice people effusively recommending the game in these threads.

Phantasy Star if you're into old school RPGs. It's one of the best from that era imo.

I have literally just started Joe Devers Lone Wolf, having picked it up in the sale earlier. It's an unconventional take on an RPG in many ways, but so far I am loving it. Perhaps not what you are after if you are not keen on reading a lot of the time. But so far it feels like real roleplaying, with meaningful actions that are available based on your earlier choices and skill choices.

I already have Disgaea 5 and put a few hours in, enjoying what I played. But I've not played it for a while and was debating starting it again.

Any recommendations on whether I should just grab Disgaea 1 as I imagine it'd be difficult to go from 5 to 1 at a later date due to mechanics etc.
