Not too excited about this expansion to be honest, but it's hard to top the Death Knights we got last time. I doesn't help either that I don't get to open my packs unitl saturday because of Christmas gatherings.

I'm really looking forwartd to the single player part though, can't wait to try that.

i play fairly original/fun decks, most of the hunter was with DK, quest hunter, nzoth hunter, archetypes i made when COTW was playable, not just like brain dead stuff lol

also Cave Hydra looks mega hype, like really hype, THAT's a control hunter card, too bad priest is gonna be everywhere and potion of madness is like, game ending. if POM wasn't in the game, i might five star it, that card really kills so much hype i swear

there is only one above average paladin card printed, a call to arms, IMO. that thing is busted AF but everything else is too slow to be playable.

wow weapon rogue is going to be pretty damn powerful. 2 mana 3/1 draw a weapon??? are you kidding me? and that 1 mana weapon? what!

Maaaan, for all your complaints about Priest, you have about as many wins in it as I do.
Sometimes you just have to play as the enemy. I complain about priest all the time, but I can't lie....it's fun as hell knowing that you're probably really pissing off your opponent. I have one deck that I just have labeled "Annoyance" and I don't even really have a win condition but all of my wins just come from people giving up because I'm repeatedly clearing the board or stealing their shit. It's a deck made of nothing but board clears and stealing cards. The only half ass win conditions are DK Anduin and Benedictus.

I tried doing something like that but then realized that I wasn't getting any sort of ladder progress, gold, or quest rewards, AND each game would bore me to death because it would go 15-20 minutes or more. Annoying enemies can be fun but not that fun.

i think people really really underestimate how slow some of these cards are. value is great and all, but paying 6+ mana for effects that take 3 turns in order to create that value result in you being dead. if you can't gain armor/health you can't afford to play so many of these 6+ mana cards that do nothing to the board, by that time one or two turns and you're dead despite having a handful of cards to choose from

It's a slow ass climb for sure and it sucks when you lose a long match. I just have to pray I don't face any druids and if I do, I just immediately concede. It sucks that most of the decks I'm having fun with right now all auto lose to druid.

I really should just craft a Skulking Geist.... maybe I will with whatever dust I have left over.

in wild you can literally screw around and make a priest archetype of any kind with cheap cards and draw and wreck as long as you have those two lol

wait ....what?? in decktracker my average game is 8 minutes, about 2k games logged. i'm guessing they just play around with their experimental meme archetypes that never work, or is that claim that average online game is 20 minutes??

edit: only like 20 of those games are ranked games that took 20 minutes.

amazingly my longest game ever is an extreme outlyer, a casual game that took 43 minutes! me as reno nzoth DK hunter vs quest priest. it was beyond insane.

Oh no, only if I play a crazy deck to stall do they get that long. It's nowhere near my average. Normally I try to play aggro to get 5-10 minute games.

I went back and checked deck tracker history. The longest games I see recorded were 20-25 minutes. One was secret mage, but the rest were from a deck called "meme priest" which doesn't surprise me lol.

I don't know how influential the original is, but I'd guess it's more of an "homage" than a blatant ripoff. I only played Magic for a very brief period ~2012 though.

Holy shit Violet Wurm had flown under the radar for me. Threshadon is decent in Arena, especially for Druid/Shaman. That one is going to be even better, just draft those as your late game and a couple of Savage Roars/one Bloodlust.

The Darkness is going to be a somewhat hilarious way to disable Raza and Kazakus for a good portion of the game.

yeah I still don't see how lynessa is good... it's way too fragile.

Kingsbane can be OP, but not now, it needs 1 or 2 more cards of support.

It's fantastic on turn 1, it's playable from hand without any buffs, and It's really good with just deadly poison in your deck.

I think it'll be amazing in miracle rogue.

I am really excited which 3 to 5 legendaries I will pull and which 6 to 8 epics. I have to play with the cards that I pull mostly because there is not much dust in my bank. I just hope it is not 1 card per class.

I don't want to put deadly poison in my miracle deck with the hope I have a specific legendary. it's probably way better with oil since it enables the combo.

there are just way better things for me to do with mana now. I'm definitely running elven minstrel. he's way better than the kobold.

Deadly poison is a great card in miracle even without kingsbane. Serves as decent early removal, activates combos, questing adventurer, Edwin, arcane giants and auctioneer. It's a good synergy card in the deck.

You don't have to go all in on Kingsbane guys. It's a fine card for early game and a fine draw with one buff, it really doesn't matter what that buff even is.

Bonus points for added durability in control stalemates.

If rogue can play lifegain buff one day Kingsbane becomes potentially a busted card.

i believe enchantments includes buffs from all sources.

deadly poison doesn't make the cut in current lists and doesn't make them better.

duskbreaker is going to shape the meta which means we'll see fewer 3 health early game minions. which is what my initial miracle build banks on. it's going for more of a minion based strategy. and I'm hoping elven minstrel and chest death make auctioneer turns happen more consistently.
