It snowed for the first time in 13 years here last night and NOW the update goes live. Guess I'll have to wait another 13 years to see snow on this game
So people on silphroad are saying Pokémon over level 30 are in the wild now. Mega if true.

My game says new Pokemon are out but all I see is old stuff, newest Pokemon around me right now are Cyndaquil and Teddiursa. Where's my Gen 3 mons mon?
Yep, just caught something at level 34-35ish. I don't think Poke Genie is fully updated, can't exactly line things up on the arc and it's not picking up the position automatically anymore.
Ah okay I use Poke Genie but I don't think it tells me the level, just the IV %
So far I've caught Roselia, Gulpin (seen a bunch of these about), Wurmple, Zigzagoon, Poochyena, Seedot, Mudkip, Zangoose, Makuhita AND Hariyama. Also seen a whole bunch of older ones I've usually seen only rarely: Rhyhorn, Seel, Tentacool, Machop, Shellder, Geodude, and even a couple of wild Bulbasaur.
Love thr weather additions so far, Cloudy and windy basically making even a high CP Blissey a cake with A powered up Machamp, with the boosted attack
On the other hand, Dazzling Gleam gets boosted in cloudy weather too. ;)
I stopped playing when I couldn't get the first available legendary because my area sucks for raiding, but this update stuff is intriguing me much.
Only reason I'm still caught up is because I watch Trainer Tips, who is just a great vlogging youtuber in general aside from just an informative PoGO guy.
I don't expect to get into this regularly again but I did download the update and I will check it out for a little bit. I've never been a "collector for the sake of collecting" when it comes to Pokemon games, so while the shiny stuff, gen 3 and whatnot is sweet, probably won't pull pull me all the way back in. But cool to see there are some move change ups with previous pokemon, the weather stuff is pretty awesome and enough of those kind of features would definitely entice me to start playing regularly again. Not enough for now though.
The changes to the battle UI are very interesting to me, because it seems to open up an easy way to add more charge moves to Pokemon. If they do that, it would be a pretty big incentive for me. Along with a balance update that makes things much better on that front and no doubt I'd be back into it.

Blaziken: no fighting special against normals
Swampert: no Ice Beam against grass and dragons
Gardevoir: no fairy quick move and bad offensive psychic moves
Zangoose: no normal moves
Milotic: no Hydro Pump but Hyper Beam
Metagross: only one bar specials

Very strange occurrence where I just got kicked out of two gyms but did not need to revive what was defeated. They were just put back in my box without requiring a revive and heal. Bug? Can I finally stop crossing my figners for more revives out of spinners?

It's possible that the gym got removed. It would be returned full health
my whole army of fodder defenders were auto revived today. donno why. i hadn't revived them before due to the lack of revives and potions given out
my game stalled every time i tried to raid today. everyone around me completed the raid as normal. i filed a report, but it's friday evening so, i doubt anything will happen for a while.
I was about to say the same thing. All of my pokemon were revived which is a good thing since I'm out of revives

Also looks like Plusle and Minun are exclusives and split by the prime meridian east and west. People in the UK can get both.
CLoudy conditions basically make my town Machop and Machoke heaven, loving it.
Shame it also means no soloing Machamp since he gets too boosted now.

Literally only seen Roselia and Wurmple so far... the prior is all over my work parking lot, but rare everywhere else, and I've only seen two Wurmple. Where the hell are the other 44 or so species?
And this isn't really Niantic's fault, but it sucks that the clear weather effect is boosted fire and ground spawns, given basically every spawn is already fire or ground here and the weather is almost always clear... I guess boosted grass is nice though.
