So am I wrong in feeling that nothing in the initial 55 they've released is all that great? By that I mean outclassing the previous top tier Pokemon. There isn't anything that's a "must have" or "must power" up yet, right?

I will say though, I want a fully maxed out Slaking so badly. Even though he's not hugely useful he looks so cool!

Still no pass, but yes Niantic, keep giving passes to the same few gyms around the area instead of rotating. I even raided in one of those gyms and have a silver badge there, but yeah, no pass. Fuck this EX pass bullshit.

Hariyama and Breloom have their uses as fighting types.

Sceptile is a top tier grass type.

Still no EX pass for me. Convinced that I'm never going to get one at this point.

Oh fuck; even Zangoose is regional. But it means one trip to Miami fixes all my regional problems: Tauros, Heracross, Corsola, Zangoose and Plusle.

I am now on my 5th EX invite

Every invite has been for the same Sprint Store.

I'm less than half way to the gold gym badge.

I'm level 38

I raided there Wednesday night.

The invite is for 1130, I've never done a raid there at that time. But on Thursday I did raid around that time at a park gym that I almost have gold on that also got an EX invite for the same time.

This double desert biome needs to change. Getting nothing but paras, diglet, rhyhorn and sandshrew. That clear weather "buff" is fucked.
Should add deminishing returns on the weather spawns.

SNowing for hours now here, completely blanketed, yet no sign of any of that ingame. Mostly cloudy and at times it shows rain, pathetic.

I'd take that over constantly sunny weather in a desert biome. All that it dose is let the normal desert spawns spawn, but all the different spawns have been replaced with more desert spawns. At one point I saw 7 paras spawn all together nothing else.

Yeah, mine just switched to "extreme" weather. I guess because of a snowy roads warning? Idk. Doesn't seem like a good or fair thing. People who experience harsh winter weather are probably going to have these warnings for months which means no weather buffed Pokemon.

Hopefully they get rid of it.

The silph road figured out that pretty much any warning on accuweather is triggering it, someone mentioned an avalanche warning 30 miles away causing it.

I mean, it makes sense to warn players if there are hazardous weather conditions. The lower spawn rates, eh, would make sense in real life too.

Now if only Accuweather was actually accurate. Heavily snowing for the past six hours and rainy and clear weather ingame lol

I'm glad to see that new areas finally have access to EX raids. I wish those people well.

I haven't been able to play enough to have major thoughts about the new update. I've only caught 3 of the new Hoenn Pokemon so far. Liking the small touches, though.

The Gym battle UI is a big improvement.

Getting blanketed in snow again, and now predicted for the entire day, yet no sign of it within Pokemon Go. Quite a shame really. Weather system is nice in theory, but needs a more serious overhaul to make it more accurate and not punishing biomes that only have one type of weather either.

Was seriously thinking about burning a whole bunch of rare candy to evolve and power up a Slakoth. Thankfully I didn't because I then spent a few hours on Friday and Saturday in Central Park and managed to catch 30 Slakoth and a couple of Vigoroth. Now just waiting on one above 90% IV's to evolve. Highest I caught was 89%.

So I finally got to play a little now. Really loving it so far.
I didn't know that you can now catch Pokemon higher than lvl 30. Sweet!
Is there any info on what Pokemon are in eggs right now, are there already Gen 3 ones in?

ALso how long is Ho-Oh still available? I think this will be the first Legendary I'll miss. No motivation to hunt it right now. Only did one raid so far.

Tomorrow is the final day for Ho-Oh I think.

Apparently any warning alert in the weather real system triggers it. They obviously need to filter some out.

Found a Slakoth this morning in my neighborhood! I'm now walking it to get extra candies. Need to find a Ralts too. Hopefully either can be found at nests.

Yeah AccuWeather says it's high wind and low relative humidity. Therefore it's a fire warning. I don't think we've ever had major fires in Missouri.

Granted, this is based a lot on where you're at, but I don't think Slakoth is going to be very rare. I've already caught a few, and the only others I've seen/caught have been obviously common types (Wurmple, Seedot, Gulpin, Zigzagoon).

Anyway, coming from a player who hates raids (I'm in a mid-size city and largish metropolitan area but we aren't a pedestrian friendly region) and is underwhelmed by the slow roll out of a new generation, the best factor for me is actually the weather system, or its by-product. I'm in NE Ohio so we might hit 4-5 different weather biomes in an afternoon, which is great for diverse types showing up, but it's the weather-enhanced Pokémon that I'm loving. I've already caught an 89% Eevee at 7000 stardust and a few other, less exciting types in the same range. I'm actually looking to catch stuff I'd usually pass up just for the chance of getting a more powerful one off the bat.

To add to others' pain, I'm someone who barely does raids (1-2 a week depending on if a gym has one going on I can solo by parking nearby) and have no legendaries from them for aforementioned reasons, yet in early November I got an EX Raid for Mewtwo and got that.

Well, it's a 10k egg. Idk if it will be rare or not. It's normal typing, so prob won't be too rare. I'd consider Dratini fairly common to me (if you are by water biomes, that spawns regular.)

And that's where the caveat about location comes in. Like, I only saw one damned Magikarp until they did that event early this year, and only a handful since. And never a wild Dratini.

Meanwhile, when I started late last year I was drowning in Tauros.

Oh man, if I drive through Canalside here I get like 7-10 Karps on a pass, and sometimes a Dratini or two as well. I do not want to play outside of this biome.

Tauros was pretty common for everyone though (in it's spawn region). So rare to see one now though.

Then again, back when I used a paid scanner, things like Chansey & Snorlaxes actually spawned several times in each sub-city regulary. You be surprised at how often a Snorlax or Dragonite spawned haha

I haven't found a Ralts yet. Hope I do soon!

Damn. I've never seen a wild Chansey, only one wild Snorlax, and one wild Lapras.

Granted, I don't play this like some. Usually just turned the game on while commuting or walking around campus (when I was on a campus for grad school). Nowadays, I mostly just use it to get a daily catch and stop.

A true wild Snorlax for me was prob back during Feb. Remember running after it for 20 minutes in the cold. Got it though. Oh, I did run into one while going to a raid too, though don't really count that as someone at the raid on discord mentioned it beforehand and a scanner posted where it was exactly. I've run into a few wild Chanseys. One on my honeymoon, that was neat. Another while going after a Dragonair (that I knew of via scanner), the chansey was just bonus.

Hmm, all these new pokemons prob means my 2.1 million stardust will be taking a massive hit soon... I'll def be powering up Gardevoir & Slaking all the way.

Local scanner picked up a 100 IV Snorlax in the middle of the night when I happened to be waking up from an unexpected nap on my living room couch. I don't have notifications for every Snorlax that appears, but it's definitely pretty rare.

The weather bonuses should mean a lot of dust savings, especially with in-season raid bosses coming out as level 25 instead of level 20.
