Semispheres original icon is so vague and ugly, I'd have to say that one.
Mr Shifty's original was also pretty terrible. Not only is it a lame icon, but it was also low res, so it looked like garbage.

I agree about Sonic Mania. That icon really doesn't invite me to play the game.
The new icon of Thimbleweed Park OTOH, makes me want to replay the game, even though I recently played through the game.
BTW, I think Mario Odyssey and Mario Kart 8 Deluxe are among the least functional icons now. Putting Mario+Rabbids, MK8 DX, and Mario Odyssey next to each other in the icon lists makes only Mario+Rabbids stand out.
snake pass update is live. dont know if it has a new icon. i hope it does. itll download after mario rabbids + BOTW though. anyone update yet?
I guess it's the Ethernet connection, it looks like it replaces the Wi-Fi icon.

That's funny, I wouldn't mind having this as the new icon. If Nintendo implements multiple icons per game, one of those should definitely be a grassy mountain vista.
I changed the region to America specially for this screenshot ;) PAL one doesn't quite go as well.

btw Xenoblade 2 on my switch home menu is delicious. love the icon, goes well with the dark theme of the switch
Pretty rancid, has to be said. Not worth the price of admission.
I always thought it was odd how the Switch had a lot of icons with characters standing on cliffs but I never realised how many games used that look. In addition to the games in the screenshot above if you add icons where the main character doesn't have their back to the "camera" but are at a cliff you can also add Oceanhorn, Portal Knights, Lost Sphear, Cat Quest, Putty Pals, The Bridge, Thimbleweed Park and Yono.
Maybe this should become the next Switch icon movement? All game icons should have titles and the characters standing at a cliff edge ;-)
