Finally the game acknowledges it is snowing here, with ingame snow. Shame the status is still just Extreme weather, so none of the spawns or boosts.
I think accuweather sources local meteorologists for info and they must need a refresher on how to tag what they're entering. There was a thread on the Silph Road where the person had the extreme weather notice, went to accuweather the warning was "Unseasonably mild conditions"

Do we know how strong the type buff is for attacks of the fitting weather
The weather system (when it works) is incredible. Today was the first day I've had a chance to get out because of the snow and ice here in West Georgia, but the sheer variety of grass, ground, and fire types I caught today was fantastic. I'm talking 'mons from all three generations with good-to-great IVs. Did a Ho-oh raid and get a 2729 87% boosted Ho-oh with Steel Wing and Brave Bird.
The potential of the weather system, when not hit by extreme weather (I did get some of that Friday and all of Saturday as well as some of yesterday), is positively brilliant. It essentially offers "travelling" biomes to increase spawn diversity at random. I can't wait to see what our weather patterns bring. We get a little of everything, from cloudy days, to foggy nights, to rainy weeks. This has breathed whole new life into the game fam

It does now apparently. Villa Rica (Where I live, 30 miles west of Atlanta) got 10 inches of snow homie
I also did a Mawile raid, and the cloudy weather boosted the CP. This is my first day of casual playing since Gen 3 went up, and the spawns are pretty huge now.
Saw an 1800 CP Gengar, 2382 CP Hariyama, and a 1400 CP Nidoqueen. The Gengar ran, but I already have a strong one with Shadow Claw and Shadow Ball. The Hariyama came with Counter and Dynamic Punch! The IVs are merely decent, but this is an amazing catch nonetheless. Added a whole bunch of new Pokemon to my Dex.
Someone please tell if Niantic plans to implement trading. If they won't, then it's time to dump my spare Legendaries.

Weird. I've always thought of Georgia as the Deep South which had Florida-type weather year round.
Trading is in their plans, but if you're going to dump any legendaries I would wait for double candy.

Hatched my 1st gen 3 egg today. A Mudkip! Also got 2 new 10k eggs today, got 6 total, with 3 with chance to be Ralts or Sloth. I'm either going to wait till my annual New Years trip to incubate them all. Going to Charleston SC for few days with my wife and my best friend and her bf. Shall be fun.
Which ones are the new raids. Also is there a list of all 5 new ones. I feel like https://pokemongo.gamepress.gg/ news are not that good anymore.
A 100% Snorlax got picked up by the local scanner in some random house and so many people showed up and parked outside and in the driveway that the police were called. Fun times.
They parked in the persons drive way? That is a horrible idea.
I have found sooo many Eevee today. Found a 826 Female Eevee with Strong ATK =)
I also caught a Zangoose that was hiding behind my works building!
It's been overcast all day and Go is still calling it "Sunny". So even the few times it's not sunny, it's sunny. lol

Anyone know a good gym battle guide post all the updates? I pretty much ignored all the pvp stuff when I first started playing but now I want to battle some more. I feel like I'm missing some strategy by just picking a type advantage crew and tapping nonstop except to dodge when they're about to attack.
Gridlock does something stupid Pokémon Go edition
So I went to the Lamar Dixon Expo Center and I put my strongest Pokémon (Gyarados) in the Yellow gym there a couple days ago. It maybe months if not a year or so before I get my Gyarados back. I wasn't even thinking when I added a Pokémon there.

Huh, I thought that long ago Niantic had removed all Pokestops and gyms from cemeteries....
Anyone have any good battle party names? I only got Team Rocket that's all Tyranitars and Golems, and Waterudoing? that's all Gyarados and Vaporoens.
Are Magikarp still the only shinies in the game? (Well, aside from Gyarados as well.)
Nope. Absol, Mawile, and the Pikachu line. Maybe something else I'm forgetting.
A sequence of events:
- Ho-oh raid.
- Mawile raid.
- Oh, neat, the game finally switched to the Windy weather effect.
- Mawile raid again.
- Figure I'm done. Vaguely need to pee. Decide I can get groceries before going home.
- Unown notification pops as I'm checking out, I see it when I leave the store. No time to pee.
- Unown is in some random neighborhood 20 minutes away in the opposite direction. Get stuck behind someone who is clearly uncomfortable going any faster than 10 under limit.
- At least 30 cars, almost all of them parked illegally in a way that the road is almost impassable. Two minutes on timer.
- I really need to pee.
- Dammit guys the Unown was on the OTHER side of the street. I had to ditch my live GPS view due to the number of cars and apparently no one who found it can read the in-game map correctly.
- Finally got it. Took another two or three minutes to get out of the neighborhood.

How do you guys feel about getting good moves on your Pokemon?
Is it only really important for the strong ones? Do you want everything to have good moves regardless of their potential?
I only TM Pokemon that I would actually bring to a raid. If some weak or redundant Pokemon gets bad moves, then I don't go out of my way to get better ones on it.

It depends entirely on how desperate I am to clear bag space.
Shit. I just realized I'm probably going to get fucked out of the few rainy days a year we get here because of flash flood warnings, even though I don't live within or travel through at risk areas.
Only care about the moves if the Pokemon is in the top damage/defense of it's type.
Finally Caught both Mawile and Absol in raids, neither were shiny though. Now sitting at 27 of the 50 gen 3 mons caught.
