Mariah was actually great yesterday?

I'm still not sure if she was actually singing all of it, or it there were some pre-recorded high notes here and there, but she was awesome. In all honesty, no shade, most of your faves could never even at their peaks.

I'm glad you enjoyed the show Frodo! I love seeing people in concert.

Thanks! It was a lot of fun, even though we only had 3 non-Christmas songs (Emotions, We Belong Together, Hero). I just wish we had more time for sassy Mariah. I would actually pay to see her on a stage just being sassy.

A korean drag queen with 18 #1 hits, 200+ millions records sold, 2 songs of the decade, tied with Justin Bieber, Daddy Yankee, Lusi Fonsi for a duet with Boys II Men as longest running #1 on Billboard, most weeks by artist at #1 in history and the 4th most searched musician on Google in 2017.

Oh I'm doing just fine, a top10 hit coming, a top 3 hit in the UK, a top 10 album WW, 2 sold-out tours, amazing reviews and a golden globe and songwriters hall of fame nominee while all your faves are clinging to the likes of ed shitstubble for relevancy.

Pop2 isn't as cohesive an album as n1a (which is better IMO), but it's still great. Still full of bops and moods. You really get a sense that Charli is just going down a checklist of artists she admires that she wants to collab with even if they don't gel well with her style so much. She's trying new stuff and some of it works better than others. The most glaring flaw to me is that Pop 2 has way more male rap features than I'm comfortable with. I think Charli might be one of, if not the most prominent panderer to the gays in all of pop music, which is so awesome. Hard not to admire all the gay icons and LGBT friends she involves in her work.

Charli XCX mixtape is a disappointment for me. Not even close to being as good as Number 1 Angel. Femmebot just makes me mad I'm not listening to Robyn.

Yeah Pop2 isnt as good as N1A, I like 2 or 3 songs..the cupkakke collab isn't as good as Lipgloss. Unlock It is slightly ruined by the terrible rap or whatever that is in the middle.

Hope we get an album soom

Charli's Femmebot is so much better than Robyn's.

Charli and A.G. Cook made an amazing piece of work with the new mixtape. It's scatterbrained, energetic and frantic, which is very much apart of Charli's work ethic now, yet still retains that glossy and pristine finish that PC music is known for. It almost feels like a bit of a battle between these two contrasts, but works so well within the construct. Charli also giving promo to a lot of lesser known artists and serving some of the best current LGBT artists on her features should be commended.

She's never going to go back to her True Romance past. If anything, True Romance was a bit of a mess and overproduced, where her PC music era takes some of the ideas from TR but fleshes them out with some of the best and most innovative producers in the PC music scene.

And I'm not sure if y'all heard XCX3, but it was a TRUMPH. One of the best albums I've heard all year but it sounds like a step back from Pop2. The songs are clean and very poppy, with a mix of A.G. Cook, SOPHIE, Blood Pop and Stargate producing, but ultimately feels like it was a product of N1A and not a lot of connection to Pop2. Who knows if those songs will ever be released, tbh.

Pop2 is the ultimate Charli album, for better or worse. She will most likely go the Robyn route and do segmented mini-albums and not put out true, classic releases. Her label seems more on board with the idea of her mixtape releases now compared to when N1A dropped. Charli is putting in work and making these releases acceptable for pop artists.

Props to Charli XCX, for serving us an XCXmas gift with Pop2, she is the true QUEEN of experimental and forward thinking pop.

I mean cool. I have no idea what her stance is on lgbt. It's pop music.

EDIT: I do love everyone she's working with on the couple albums and do agree it's the best stuff she's ever done. For what's it's worth, I never loved any of the albums she released prior to working with the PC music people. I liked a song here and there. Mykki Blanco is dope. The verse on femmebot is no bueno. Charli xcx has a long ways to go to even be on the level of Robyn's farts give me a break.

Body Talk was a while ago, and while it is an amazing piece of work, Do It Again is a lot weaker and any of Charli's PC music releases surpass it easily. Robyn has left a seat at the table with her absence. Charli seems to be the most natural successor. She is constantly pushing the boundaries and there are very few pop artists currently that are on that level.

Her production crew are on the cutting edge. While I adore Jack Antanoff, and he's done some wonderful production this year with two AOTY candidates, he's such a safe choice to work with right now. Charli hasn't taken the safe route and she's made it work extremely well. She's very self aware. She has an extraordinary amount of material out there from the past 2 years, official and unreleased, and the majority of them are complete bops.

Robyn's peak was a while ago. Yes. But she released fully realized albums. I only brought her up because she has a song of the same name. I respect Charli XCX for doing her own thing with mixtape releases. Number 1 Angel is one of the best pop albums of the year. I just don't think Pop2 lived up to my expectations based on the feature list.
