I got my copies of steam world. Can't be happier.

Question.

I got LA-MULANA last week and it's LR-V36
What's 34 & 35?
I am pretty sure that I haven't skipped any Vita release after YS origin which was 33 unless I did and forgot :O

That's the best part, I wish other developers gave their physical releases as much attention as Image & Form did.

For one reason or another, not all are willing to rebuild a game to incorporate these changes, unfortunately for us. I'll take the win where I can get it though. These two releases were clearly wins for Vita game preservation.

Well, Windjammers is LR-V35. The numbering isn't always according to when they go up for sale. Sometimes the releases get shifted around after they've been numbered, so a later number might be released first and whatnot.

Did they mention night in the woods or hellblade on AMA ?

Higher chance with iam8bit I assume

Sadly, no.

Looks like a really successful run for Steamworld. I'm really pleased - it kinda had the odds stacked against it - 2 separate releases; like a year late compared to PS4/WiiU; they've literally just announced Steamworld Heist for Switch etc.

Bodes well going forward for Vita stuff at least!

But I thought all Vita owners moved on to the Switch.

i'm surprised someone hasn't added run numbers to the wikipedia page, i was planning on doing it but after i tried doing something else for another page i got stuck trying to figure out how to get the information from an excel spreadsheet into the format wikipedia uses without having to do it manually and gave up

i think josh has said in the past that they're either numbered by signing order

Ugh, did they say we would get Skull Girls before November was up? This is ridiculous.

For the Vita? No. They said they might but that was never a confirmation.
Got submitted for certification a while back
Wow, I thought it was sure thing so I opted not have them send the PS4 version early. Just outright terrible, especially given they are also holding another game with it. Would email their customer service but I know that will be of no use.

Lol no. Not really their fault when Sony kept failing them for the stupidest reasons.

It was better for you to have them ship the PS4 ver first. Many of us opted for that.

Now that Play-Asia has announced a Standard Edition for Ghost Blade HD... is it certain that LRG has cancelled their version ? I don't mind importing from PA, I just need to be sure I won't have to trade it afterwards ^^

Uuurrrrrrrrrrrrrgh I can't stand Play Asia so I'm really bummed LRG's Ghost Blade got canned. Not only is it not the NA version (meaning any DLC the game would get would be invalid to buy without making an Asian account) but PA's shipping is absolutely atrocious. I got the amazing Cursed Castilla LE from EAS through Play Asia, but it took an eternity to get to my house (nearly a month and a half after shipping) which is godawful compared to Amazon Japan's 1-2 week turnaround. The entire reason I skipped the LE was to get LRG's version as they ship a lot faster but with it canned and this standard edition not coming out until may, I may just download it at this rate. Not gonna give PA my money with how slow they are, which is a shame since EastAsiaSoft does amazing releases and they shouldn't suffer from a slow retailer.

Anyone know if the EAS release will at least be on Amazon JP? I can read Japanese, so I'd be willing to lose the english just to get a physical copy in a short bit of time when it launches.

As someone living outside the US, reading about you complaining about how PA is so much slower when compared to LRG, I just chuckled out loud.

I'm disappointed too, but man.. I can't agree about PA vs LRG when it comes to any sort of timeliness. I get the cheapest PA shipping and things get here packed well and in a timely fashion. With LRG you never know when they'll be shipping it, and it's just a bit of brown paper shoved in there if it's boxed. PA's customer service is orders of magnitude more responsive, so that's not even a comparison.

The collector's editions that PA has been kicking out are much better too, but that's really subjective. They are reasonably well sized so they fit on a shelf, and the prices are great. LRG has some fetish for big boxes that I'll never understand. Even as a collector I've long since discarded most big box PC games, and the US Saturn boxes were an abomination, not something to be brought into the new future.

LRG stuff for me usually takes 7-10 days to get to the UK, PA was more or less 2-3 weeks later

i think with LRG if you order 3 games they ship them in a box, atleast that's how it usually is with me internationally and i don't have to buy a box otherwise it's 2 games and you get them either in the same plastic bubble mailer or get them seperately in one

i think the big box thing is because physical = retro and retro gaming = big pc boxes from the 90s or it's probably something to do with big pc boxes

7-10 days to the UK that's crazy ! It never takes less than a month to arrive in France, and frankly it probably averages 90-100 days after payment (at least)
Although I have no problem with that.

It may be due to the Held order system, but I don't remember it being much faster before I used it...

I come to the conclusion LRG ship their games directly to the UK, then the games cross the Channel in an old raft.

Props to LRG, my replacement games and my ROM 2064 order arrived today (UK). I feel good about ordering from them again in the future and recommending them to others, I just wish my ticket hadn't gone ignored for so long, this could have been resolved much sooner.

I also got the cover variant I wanted!

Was ROM 2064 part of your hold order? I hit the hold release with that, and my order hasn't even shipped yet.

Most of the product pages for those two games have them estimated for shipment in early January, but a recent message from LRG had the "Windjammers" CE targeted for the middle of next month with the standard editions arriving at their site later this week.

I am unbelievably disappointed with the Nex Machina Collector's Edition. I bought it over the standard edition primarily for the soundtrack CD, and it turns out that the CD is not actually the deluxe soundtrack pictured. Instead, it's 17 of the 20 tracks - almost, but not quite, the same as the vinyl release (somehow there's one track on here not on the vinyl, and vice-versa). I would have been better off buying the standard edition and just getting the digital soundtrack.

Picked up Vesta from PlayAsia because it looks neat, but I'd really prefer to read some reviews on it first. Skipped Coma because it looked pretty average. I find it much easier to skip PA releases than LRG in general, though.

From the LRG forum:

LimitedRunDouglas said:
There will be 1 game on sale hidden in the January 1st sale, but to be honest I feel like most people here at least would rather skip it since there seems to be some hate for this developer here based on how they handled their last release.

Anyone know who's most hated on the LRG forums?

Mecho Tales would sorta make sense. Especially since they've now defected to EAS.

If you open a support ticket, your order can be split into two shipments since there isn't a ship date for the Vita version atm.
