The new feature announcement just personifies the tone deafness of Niantic. We've asked for promised features and fixes and what did they give us? An Augmented Reality mode only usable by iOS, and only those on iPhone 6S and above that nobody will even use bar the initial "oh this is neat"
We've known for a while now that they were working on an ARKit implementation, which was always going to be iOS 11 exclusive. I'm sure it will come to Android eventually but their AR framework isn't as widely available yet. And they just pushed out an in-game weather feature and a whole bunch of new Pokemon, so it's not like Android players have nothing new.
And I much prefer them pushing out regular updates, even if they aren't the promised features and fixes, than them doing nothing for months on end.
Considering it was promised in the reveal trailer, yes. I want actual features that'd be useful and improvements to fix the broken aspects of the game.
Yeah like Ingress Version 2 and Harry Potter :p

Before trading is available, I want them to fix the whole situation with spoofers. It's not fair that they can easily snipe 100% Pokémon while the rest of us have to keep hatching eggs, doing raids and more. If they add trading they'll be able to obtain even more 100% Pokémon on their main accounts.
There are more ramifications than just flipping a switch and enabling trading. It's not like the mainline games where it literally doesn't matter in the main story that you have hacked lvl. 100 Pokemon. It only matters for PvP which levels all Pokemon to lvl. 50 and checks for illegal moves. In Go, it doesn't work that way. It wouldn't be fair for legit players that bot accounts can farm to lvl. 35 within hours and get perfect Blisseys to troll you in a gym without actually travelling to there. Even in raids, spoofers ruin everything by spoofing to lobbies and use their spoofed Mewtwos who have been hogging ex raid passes.

New update that got pushed to me (Android) moved the charge meter above the charged attack button instead of below it. So I can see it now, but the attack button is now dangerously close to my home button.
It also introduced an annoying behavior where if I transfer anything (individual or batch) it returns to the top of the Pokemon list.

I feel like I'm the only 1 at times that's not really interested in the eventual PvP. I like doing raids and such, but I don't see myself doing much PvP with others often. Though, maybe I'll do it with my wife, who knows.

With how spotted cell service can be, one would think implementing PvP elements or fighting elements might be tricky. I wouldn't be surprised if they are still trying to figure out what GOs PvP would look like.
Me personally, I would like to see instanced dungeons or rouge like dungeons similar to Explorer's. Where I can spend about 30-45 chunks guiding my team into a dungeon to face bosses and hopefully catch some Mon's along the way.

Loving seeing these increased rare spawns. Been seeing all kinds of crazy stuff, yesterday saw a Weezing (I've only seen 2 Koffings in the wild ever) and an Ampharos, and just now had a Snorlax and a Jolteon together. Hope they never change this.

The free Incubators is nice, although now I'm going to have to go out on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day to spin a Pokestop. :laughingemoji:

Yeah, I'm at my parents so that means no Pokestop im my home and I actually have to walk several minutes to get one. But for a free incubator I'll do it.
Yep, that's why I wondered. Now I have to decide whether to use my very limited coins on raid passes or star pieces. :/

Be careful about the free incubator. Last year it only gave you one if it was your 1st spin of the day. So last year on Christmas Day (when the event started last year), you didn't get a free incubator on that 1st day of event if you spun before it started. So, might be worth waiting to spin tomorrow till after the free period begins.
Oh boy, Kyogre as a possible raid means I'm all in. Free incubators are a great way to get rid of all the 5ks I have sitting around too.
Got fortunate and hatched an 84% Ralts, but that's it. I'd love a strong Makuhita, have mercy.
I have three 100% Raltz and a 98%, and 2 100% Hariyama haha

There was a lv 35 100% Ralts last night I missed out on. boo. lol. I nearly have enough candies to get myself a Gardevoir. Just need a 100% first.
I actually caught a 91% Hariyama in wild the other day. Just random one I caught. Lv 30+ and caught with reg pokeballs. Makes it a high pokemon for my wife.

Here in Buffalo they use Supermaps to great effect. We also have a free map that doesn't show you IVs but I use just to hunt for candy.
I'm in Villa Rica, Douglas county, but I run into ATL on various occasions and wouldn't mind being hooked into an ATL scanner.
Hmm, is that free map a local thing or available everywhere?
The only map in my area requires a paid subscription. :\
It's certainly a great way to spend 30 seconds wasting 15 PokéBalls before disabling it forever.
