Are we going to have a new thread for 2018 or will we stay in this one? (I know about the title of the thread, I just wanted to make sure)

Picked up Quantum Break on the Winter sale, and I can't believe how good it looks.
Runs like complete ass in 4k (~15fps with 8600k+980ti), but here's two resized shots:

Assassin's Creed: Origins @ 2715x1527 - in-game photo mode only

I have to apologize for the jpg artifacting. Comes with the territory when using the built-in photo mode. Not sure why we're still dealing with <97% quality .jpgs in the year 2017, but eh. Convenience comes at a price, I suppose.

Both steam and uplay have screenshot modes which save as uncompressed lossless pictures (bmp and png). Check the uplay settings, you can use F12 to save an uncompressed png (it also saves a jpg, which you can toss away).

It also has spoiled me for future TPS. I can't even play cover-based shooters anymore – it's so boring to duck, wait, shoot, duck and wait again. I wish there were more games like Quantum Break and Max Payne 3 gameplay-wise. Such a blast to play (too bad Max Payne 3 takes away controls from you like every five minutes).

Hi, I've been a lurker for many years. Lately I've been diving into more deliberate screenshotting (why isn't there a term for this yet, virtual photography?) and felt like sharing.

Tales of Berseria | 4k crop | TBFix, ReShade (FXAA, MXAO, LUT, Bloom, Deband, Vibrance)

That outfit... I wonder why is there any fabric at all.

Regards the term, there are many different ones, but since this is a new thing there isn't any consensus, yet. I heard 'video game photography', 'screenshot art', 'virtual photography', 'in-game photography' and maybe more I can't think off the top of my head. I like the term video game photography, because it's precise and covers exactly what we often – not always – see here and on respective video game blogs and Flickr accounts and it's not too technical that no other than screenshoters would understand it.

Does anybody know how to disable the Cinematic Tools overlay in Star Wars: Battlefront 2? I downloaded HattiWattis tools to take screenshots, but I can't get rid off the tools' overlay.
