Ebony Maw played tricks on Strange and had him under control.

But he isn't in the film, so that part might fall on someone else. Probably Corvus

When I'm in the cinema with buddies, and the trailer for Black Panther begins...I've seen the trailer so many times that I've memorised the hype man at the beginning (Vince Staples?) and grunt along with him to the amusement of everyone sitting around me...

UH HUH....

YEAH....

The highlight from seeing TLJ in Dolby was the Panther and the IW trailer imo. I've watched those trailers so many times on my pc and phone, seeing it on the big screen is just something else.

At this point, I'm not even sure Marvel themselves believes the white eyes works in live action. I mean, they are still there, but he's probably mostly gonna wear his mask with no white eyes.

:/

I can't tell if they're just doing that for the promo (like they usually do, but with the whole masks) or if that's actually indicative of how he'll mostly be in the movie.

I don't know why they'd change it from Civil War where it clearly worked well. I'm still confident he'll only reveal his eyes for key non-action moments.

I actually love that he can retract his eye lenses, and only use them for combat or action-packed situations to protect his eyes, and during night-time and in dark scenarios (like the forest fight) to make use of his night-vision.

Cover looks great it really shows how technologically advanced Black Panther's suit is. I imagine Tony Stark would want to get his hands on that technology.

Also as for the eyes I imagine it will used for intimidation or a confrontation scene.

To think that today, there's precisely 4 months left to Avengers: Infinity War.

April 26 2018 can't come soon enough!

Are T'Challa's eyes really more intimidating than the lenses? I never got the "he'll use it for interrogation" claim lol

Finally got around to watching Punisher and am pleasantly surprised by how good it is. Reception seemed mix and the pattern of weak Netflix Marvel got me to put it off.

Frank is great, but it might also have my favorite supporting cast of these Netflix Marvel shows.

Punisher was a huge relief for me, after the horrendous Iron Fist and abysmal Defenders, I was starting to get really worried, but Punisher brought back some gravitas. I still hate every scene featuring the Homeland agent whose name I can't even remember, it just felt so obligatory. I feel like, if you put me in charge of writing this show one of my main priorities would be to have a subplot as good as Frank's main plot, to create a side character just as interesting as Frank himself. Homeland lady...was not interesting at all. But anyway, a decent 1st season.

My favourite episode was Frank and Micro getting to know each other for the first time. That was great and realistic in the sense that there's no way Frank is going to partner up with someone he doesn't know, they both go through the psychological and physical wringer before becoming partners and it felt earned.

Her name is Madani and that subplot was fine. The one that struggled to get going was the Lewis subplot.

But yeah, The Punisher is the greatest thing to come out of Netflix since the first season of Daredevil.

Yeah. I really like Frank and Micro's friendship. Just great contrasting personalities naturally developing into a partnership and friendship. Especially as the episodes go on and you see Frank easing up around Micro. Like the little sandwich scene in the van.

Shit I gotta watch Punisher, hearing way too much praise. Expecting it to be almost as good as Daredevil S1!

Haha, I disagree completely, I thought Lewis worked but Madani brought the show down. Lewis
served as the thematic mirror to Frank, he's what Frank could have turned into, and is only an inch away from becoming. His subplot explores the life of veterans who come back from wars, and plot-wise it finally connected Frank to Billy's betrayal during the hotel mayhem.

Madani was boooring. We've seen her story so many times in other cop shows, they did nothing interesting with her. Also, she stands way too close to other people when talking to them. Lady, give me space please!

*wipes Madani's spittle from his face*

New Black Panther photos from Empire:

Killmonger grudge against Black Panther has been highlighted in the Black Panther TV spot released on Christmas Day and in a new photo from the film. Speaking to Empire, Jordan says that Killmonger had a strong effect on his own psyche.

"It took me to a dark place," Jordan says. "Honestly, I can't really go through all I went through to get into it because I want to keep that close to me. But it stuck with me afterwards."

Even so, Jordan says he "had a lot of fun on set" with co-star Chadwick Boseman.

"Chadwick's a very talented dude," Jordan says. "There's a lot of physical moments and action sequences throughout this film that cause us to really challenge ourselves, and also fall deeper into character."

"It's an all-black cast for the most part," Jordan continues, "and it's set in Africa, but it's universal in so many ways to everybody around the world, so I feel like it's something that everybody can take something from.

I really hope we get to see Hunter and the Hatut Zeraze in Black Panther 2 or even Infinity War. After all they're supposed to protect the king and he'll be in danger during the invasion of Wakanda in Infinity War.

'The Punisher': Deborah Ann Woll Wants to Tell More of Karen and Frank's Story
"When they knew they were going to do a Punisher show, I hoped that I would get to be a part of it," said Woll. "And then, eventually they call your reps and ask for your availability, and all that stuff.

"When I found out, I was so glad 'cause I really love the relationship between Frank and Karen, and I'm certainly not done telling that story yet, not even after The PunisherSeason 1. There's still more that I'd like to dig into. Any opportunity that I get to strengthen those stories is a good thing."

"The Punisher is a character that hasn't really had an arc yet. I don't know his comic book history, as well as I do some of the others, but it seems easy for him to be the killing machine anti-hero," Woll said. "Jon has that natural vulnerability and sensitivity that can make you scared of him, as well as love him, at the same time. It's an exciting show for him because he plays the character in a way that hasn't quite been done before."

"One of our favorite moments is in one of the very first scenes, when she hugs him, out of the blue," Woll said. "I liked that because, in reading the first two episodes, you've been through so much and learned so much about all of the horrible things that have happened to him that by that moment, the audience wants to give him a hug. You want to reach out to him and be like, 'It's okay! You don't have to kill!' I liked that, in that moment, I could speak for the audience. I could reach out and treat him like a human being, in a way that a lot of the rest of the world won't."

Deborah Ann Woll Reveals Her Hopes for 'Daredevil' Season 3

"Definitely her past." Woll revealed. "We've been hinting at it, and I hope that we eventually unwrap that candy. That's cool to me."

"Really, my favorite thing to work on with the character is that doggedness and pushiness." Woll explained. "Karen is pushy, and I like that. I like it in a female character because I think it's a quality that we historically have disliked in women. I think it can be a strength, as well as a weakness. It can be one of those wonderful, complex aspects of her. She won't let things go, even if it gets her hurt, or if it gets someone else hurt. She's out there, she's gonna get the truth, and she can't stop thinking about it or let it go, and she never will. That's a really fun part of her personality to play with."

Woll also praised Erik Oleson, who will be stepping in as Daredevil's showrunner during the third season.

"He's one of the most enthusiastic showrunners that I've ever worked with." Woll added. "He's so excited about having this job. He's not over it. He's easy to talk to and he's very collaborative. He really understands that we've been with these characters now, for three or four years, and he's just coming into it, so he wants to hear what we think. I'm so excited for what he's gonna bring. I really, truly, honestly am. He's a true fan."

If they do bring Hunter in, I hope they change his attire drastically. After Killmonger, we don't need a another adversary who has basically a palette swap version of the Panther costume.

If there's a BP 2, I really hope they could bring in Namor and Doctor Doom. All 3 being royalty, they've always had a fun and interesting dynamic in the comics. Be cool to see live action adaptation of Priest's Sturm und Drang arc.

It must be hard to fit everyone in a single piece of artwork without it looking cluttered because everything that comes out seems like a random assortment.

It's a good poster, but they could have swapped out Gamora & Widow for heavy hitters Thor and Strange. But of course, it would be an all-male lineup which would be boring visually. Kind of an indictment against Marvel for being so slow in bringing a female superhero movie to the screen. Hopefully Captain Marvel will blow us away. Actually, I can't remember the last time I had zero interest in an upcoming Marvel movie, probably Thor 2?

With Disney now acquiring back the X-Men IP, do you guys think they will bring back/revive Quicksilver in the future? I actually kinda like the character in AoU.

Quicksilver was killed off by Whedon because the character's ability is too OP. And 'steaks' obviously. I'd have done the same thing if I were writing it, you can't have a character like that running around otherwise you have to come up with lame excuses why he doesn't just fix every problem in 5 minutes.

Nah. He was killed because Whedon needed someone to die in that act and Taylor-Johnson wouldn't take the role unless his character was a one and done. Quicksilver's power set is only as strong as it is in the film because he was going to die, otherwise he would have been nerfed just as Wanda was nerfed. Because on paper her abilities are too strong as well. Hell, half the MCU roster's powerset is too strong and has been nerfed.
