Personally I would rebuy from Bestbuy for the $50 gift card and PUBG and then return the other xbox.
Oh my goodness. Second place and my hearts going. It was a one vs one for 2-3 rings. I don't know how or when they saw me. I knew where they were and went to toss a grenade in their direction and I was instantly killed.

Had 2 dinners tonight, one in 4 and one in 3. Feels so good to be on the less populous side if the circle and have everyone come to you.

Eh, in real life the bullet would hit you before you actually heard it be fired. So I don't entirely consider it a realistic aspect.
Anyone? Nobody noticed how much better it feels after the last "server patch"?
I think if someone test it, it's still not perfect, but these few millisecond less delay right now feel almost like a different game.
I want to thank who ever it was who said shotguns need a choke to be relevant. Picked up 3 kills in the last game with a choked shotty. All were one shot at close range.
I think the game so much smoother now. Controls feel more precise and I've personally had less server side issues. Gun fights no longer feel that they come down to luck and I feel competitive now. And going i to squads as a two man squad is so much more fun.
Yeah. Pre patch alot my kills would be left with me shouting 'bull shit!' as I pummelled my enemy with bullets only to be seemingly downed with a couple of shots at most.

There are still issues with the game. Textures still take a while to load when you first drop. Rubber banding is still prevelent, especially in the first 2 minutes of a game and the game still drops fps when alot is happening but its certainly more playable than before and each patch has brought a significant improvement.

So there's a good chance we'll get the desert map in January? I recall the dev during The game Awards saying that or am I wrong?
I think we are a good bit away before the desert map drops on the Xbox. Would love to be wrong, but I wouldn't expect it for another couple of months yet. Still plenty to fix in the current build before adding a new map and all the issues that will introduce.

Nah performance on X is kind of garbage as well. Just not as bad as OG Xbox. 30 fps doesn't cut it for a game like this.
Tonight had plenty more crashes in our team.
Squads is a real drag sometimes with how many people are still alive in the later circles. Just a total shitshow when combined with the ensuing frame rate hit. It feels like it gets under 20fps at that point.
Pretty much. I think the OG Xbox might have one competitive advantage with shorter grass draw distance. I could be wrong but it seems like it's lower than you can set on PC. Doesn't make up for all the other things... but you can more effectively find sneks.. maybe. Sometimes.
Played some 3 man squads and the game crashed for someone every game. That's the first time I've actually seen it hard lock like that, it's not happened playing solo.
Saying that we still played it for about two hours. Nothing like running up on fools with a jeep full of people shooting out the window. The game is so dumb, I love it.

Ok, my chat cable for my A50 just broke. So, due to a bug in the chat cable, I would need to change to a xbox controller V2, and a new cable to fix it,
So, I rationalized that I would buy an X instead of a controller, because why pay $60 for a controller when an X cost $350.

They need to make this shit a steady 30fps before adding anything substantial. What's worse is engagng in a firefight and the game hitches for a whole second, next thing I know I'm dead.
Yea, but the new map performed exponentially better on the PC. I'm not saying it would solve everything, but it seems like it was designed properly from the beginning.
First, calling this a battle royale game feels like it shorts the experience imo. To me this is more of a MTLS= Massive Tactical Loot Shooter... yes I made that up but that feels more accurate.

Got my first real chicken dinner today. Had one a few days ago while I was down and watched my team so that didn't count. One of my mates died at the very beginning, the second one got disconnected. Picked up the third one with a jeep (had to rescue him since the first circle was already closing) and we looted some buildings before we got ambushed. Killed one of them, revived my teammate (who made it to the Top 20 but kept watching me play afterwards) and got the win for us, getting the final kill against some guy trying to run me over with his car. Feelsgood.
I think we can agree on one thing...
PUBG is truly the Dark Souls of shooters.
How do you have a 1 person squad? How is that different than solo?
You play alone, against other 4 person squads or other people who chose that mode.
It's confusing implemented it's just the switch to deactivate random people when you only have 2 friends online but you want to play normal squad mode.
I swear this fucking games bullets are made of marshmallow. I could pump an entire clip into them, and absolutely nothing registers.... Especially cqc
A #5 and #25 solo in a row, both times I shoot first and I die as if I didn't even shoot. The second one was ridiculous, guy was laying in the grass looking the other way, shoot him straight on like 8 times, he slowly turns, shoots a couple random shots and who dies? Me of course. I swear the shooting in this game worsened a lot since day 1, I could get kills with a couple shots back then, now I'm lucky if a full round does any damage to a still target.
According to pubgdmgstats.com the S686 is OHK anywhere on the body, even with LVL 2 helmet/armor... I just got dropped like lightning w/ lvl 2 gear and had to look it up. I could've sworn I've hit people with that repeatedly without getting an OHK.
so I'm having a problem where I'm stuck on a totally white screen that says "LOADING Lobby". Quitting out of game does nothing, and even resetting console does nothing. I just can't play the game anymore. Is there any fix or is this a known issue?

The match was so intense, over 30 people in a 100m radius circle by the house block east to the school.
We were hiding inside while outside was the purest mix of Mad Max and Fast and Furious. Shoots fired all the time, everyone shooting at everything that moves. We end up bailing and getting shot at from behind, we duck into a house to find a duo squad was hiding in there... And I don't want to spoil the rest.
Luckily, I have a 5min video for you guys again! Trust me, even I, who have seen many streams and stuff, have never experienced such an ending with so much chaos.

So where do you guys start? I just discovered the shelter and it's usually packed with loot and almost never anyone there.
Made it to the top 3, didn't feel like much of an accomplishment tbh, it's ridiculous how the final circles play out, we were all driving around in circles, couldn't take the game seriously at that point, the whole thing was amusing I had to laugh. I hope not all games end up like this, I have more fun when vehicles are not involved and it's more of a slow, quiet, methodical hunt.
Just started playing this. Got to top 4 on my second match. This game is intense as fuck. Shooting feels weird though.

Gah, I'm getting really good at firefights, most of the time I'll win a 1 on 1 battle. But the chicken dinner keeps eluding me. Part of it is just running towards the stupid circle and being shot by someone in the back or a spot I cant see
