Why did iTunes replace posters as Marvel movie thumbnails with some generic image of characters against a gray background?

Yeah, we're definitely getting a special look and probably some of Kendrick Lamar's song with that footage.

Events Cinema is also reporting that Black Panther will run for 2 hours and 15 minutes.

There was a rumor going around that the first cut of Black Panther was at nearly 4 hours. Stand aside, Snyder. We have a new champion over here.

2 hours and 15 minutes sounds more than enough

To those of you who can't wait for Black Panther, there's a nice new 6-part mini-series coming out tomorrow called "Rise of the Black Panther." It's written by debutant Evan Narcisse in cooperation with Ta-Nehisi Coates. And the six covers are even drawn by Brian Stelfreeze, while the art inside the pages is drawn up by Paul Renaud.

It's especially interesting because it comes so close to the movie and gives us an in-depth look at the origin.

Just in time for the highly anticipated film, witness the early years of the man who will come to rule one of the most scientifically advanced countries in the world! Wakanda has always kept itself isolated from Western society, but that's all about to change. Young T'Challa knows he is destined to become king, but when his father is brutally murdered by outsiders, he'll find himself taking up a mantle he may not be ready for. Experience never-before-seen drama from the reign of T'Chaka, the king whose death changes a nation's history forever. Learn about the mother T'Challa never knew. See how the world learns about this wondrous nation for the first time. Will the power of the Black Panther be enough to keep his country safe? Journalist Evan Narcisse makes his comics debut alongside acclaimed writer Ta-Nehisi Coates as they chronicle T'Challa's rise to the throne – and to the Panther legacy that made him an Avenger.

I know that I am ready tomorrow.

Wow, that's strangely late. That's like a month after the Scandinavian and American release.

Can't watch the new Black Panther trailer. Can't break my rule. Teaser and Trailer 1. No more. This next one's going to show A LOT. Don't wanna ruin it for myself. Must resist. We're almost there...

By the way, bets on whether the writers of the movie will demean themselves and have the following line in the movie?

"You come at the king, you best not miss."

That date can't be right, Marvel movies always release 2-3 days before US. No way will it release almost a month later.

For meme-ability, I think this line is a must now....
it just better have a good visual for that repostable captioned gif that will become part of internet culture.

Haha, did not think of it that way. Hmm, yes, BP has potential to replace the Omar from The Wire gif. Shit, maybe someone should just make a gif of the shot where BP is walking towards the camera with his arms spread wide, and put the quote underneath him.

It also happened with Spider-Man Homecoming but I always assumed it was due to it being distributed by Sony (?)

Really weird indeed.

I'm about to start my watch-through of all the MCU movies, one for every week until Infinity War.
Was about to start with Iron Man 1, but was wondering, even if it's from a strange perspective, isn't the Hulk movie from Ang Lee part of the continuity ? I haven't seen Incredible Hulk since a long time, but it's starting with Hulk being on the hunt after everything that happens during the Ang Lee movie right ?

Just rewatched Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 for the first time, and I loved it much more this time around. Kind of crazy how down I was on it because many of the jokes and levity took away from the drama, but I had no problem with it this time around going into it. Man, not only was it gorgeous and had an insane amount of beautiful scenery, but I also liked Ego and find him a good villain now, while I also felt like it got me around the galaxy, while the first go around I felt it was very contained, but the movie brought us to three different planets and some corners of space.

It was all so beautiful.

Now here's to Nebula, Mantis and Drax wrecking Thanos to pieces.

Black Panther marketing is ramping up:

The two Hulk films are unrelated. These are stolen from Wikipedia.

Ang Lees Hulk
Scientist David Banner has the idea to create super soldiers by introducing modified DNA sequences extracted from various animals to strengthen the human cellular response, but General Thaddeus Ross denies him permission to use human subjects.

The Incredible Hulk
At Culver University in Virginia, General Thunderbolt Ross meets with Dr. Bruce Banner, the colleague and boyfriend of his daughter Betty, regarding an experiment that Ross claims is meant to make humans immune to gamma radiation.

Ang Lees Bruce Banner wants to make super soldiers.
Incredible Hilk Bruce Banner wants to protect people and he was originally unaware of the super soldier program.

Everytime they something new about the Black Panther suit, they have added something new that I really dont like.
Should just have stayed with the Civil War Suit.

The Civil War suit was too good for us. We didn't deserve it. :(

Sometimes I feel like the new suit has too many details. Kind of like what is on that poster that has him front faced and looking at his gloves.
