Tons. I am not going through mafia logs (if they exist) to show how often it is true. That would require days if not weeks of pouring over previous games. Just to prove something that if you think about it is extremely logical and common sense.

I know nothing about him but most mafia players are not extremely good at mafia, so I will assume he does not fall into the small sunset and is indeed scumm

BTW, Comrade is probably stubborn, hardheaded town. It is very unlikely unless Comrade is extremely bad at being scum that he is scum because he is hard defending Apollo right now through misdirecting and attempting to backdoor debase via asking for handholding and data which likely does not even exist to follow a logical thought process and conclusion.

Hard headed, stubborn town feel the need to assert that someone cannot make a proper read because it does not follow their own thought processes. They refuse to grow as players and instead to try and fit the game into their own mold as they see it. Thus, they miss reads because refusal to believe them without it being completely outright exposed.

Yeah, but we know Scum kill either way. We don't know what power roles are in the game, but it's safe to say there are standard wolves/mafia equivalents here & they'll probably get to kill someone that is a villager at a minimum, or power role at the max.

It comes across as a pro-Scum move to me, even if the voter might not see it that way.

Uh, yes? A vanilla claim means nothing to scum as far as decision making. You are still possibly power. A town power claim is all that informs their decision.
