Nothing ever made me feel so uncomfortable, unnerved and scared at the same time than REmake. That sense of dread inside the game is just absurd.
But the thing that always gets me is the complexity and randomness behind the zombies's behaviours. It's such a simple yet effective thing, being tense because you know that at any time they could open a door, on some specific areas (moments) break through the windows, get up again and even transform into Crimson Heads. But as we are talking about specific scenarios...
The Hunter that appears right after Enrico's death always gets me, i get distracted and that fucking toad jumps right into my face, making me lose my shit. Also, the hanging dude from the guest house is something incredible. When i heard the abrupt sound of his body hitting the ground without seeing him, it made me panic so bad. I love moments were you know that something really bad is coming but all you have is it's own horrific sound. We need something alike on RE8 (from the clip that was basically the pitch behind RE7):
