For 1080p? Nah. For 1440p/VR? Yes.Is a 1070 to 1080 jump even worth it if im not gaming at 4k?
I ask because come taxes i can get a 1080 for about $370.
It may not be a huge leap but when else will i be able to get one for the price?

Are there any games that you can't run at the resolution/settings you would like? Is that worth nearly $400 to you?
Tim Rogers on Kotaku and actionbutton.net.I'm interested in game criticism but dont know where to start. Mostly print. Are there any good sites or books that dig a little deeper than your run of the mill ign review.
Im thinking something similar to film theory.
Is Suikoden Tierkreis for DS worth hunting down?
Is it even connected to the main series storywise? Does it have headquaters? How is the gameplay compared to the originals?
Looks fine.
I read somewhere that Windex can be used to clean DVD's, is this true?
It's quite bad. The voice acting seemingly had the pauses edited out for space concerns, soeverylineisliterallyreadlikethis. It's all alternate universe stuff iirc, with no connection to the main series. Don't even remember headquarters. Battle system is fine from what I remember.
Starting to look for a gaming desktop, I'm noticing that computers with AMD CPUs and GPUs are cheaper than Intel/Nvidia ones of similar performance level. So what is the downside of going AMD?
This seems like a good thread to pose my question
Posted this picture so you know which one I'm talking about. Is this something I could use for PC games? I hooked it up to my Windows 10 PC, and it does detect the controller, but when I booted up wolfenstien 2, it didn't detect the controller. Haven't tried any other games yet, but Wolfenstein 2 is kinda the main game right now I wanted to try and play, and as someone who usually plays on consoles, I just hated trying to use mouse/keyboard.
Honestly not much on the CPU side. Ryzen is great bang for your buck esp if you're multitasking like streaming/video editing along with gaming. GPU wise Id recommend Nvidia though. From what Ive read, Vega didn't turn out that great.
My combo is a Ryzen 1500 with a 1050Ti and its excellent. Way better graphics and performance than PS4. Love it
I'm about to step into Breath of The Wild which will end up being the first Zelda I play. Any tips or things I ought to know before starting? I've often had a bad track record when I jump into new series of playing games wrong for a while, is there much of a risk with this?
From the FAQ:Is it allowed to make threads about own video game related projects such us, a website, soundtrack, kickstarter campaign or video game in development to make people and gamers aware of that project to get more support and feedback from gamers and the projects target group?
Would be great if a Moderator would also answer this question :)

Thank You :)
Thanks! I'll go with that suggestion just to try make sure. I remember with Fallout 3 - my first RPG - that I just went my own way and spent 20 hours randomly exploring and doing sidequests, and then I got so lost from the main quest that I never went back, just need to ensure I don't go down that path again.BotW more than many games out there is about just doing what you want. The game is designed around facilitating whatever the player wants to do for the most part. If you think something should work, it probably will work.
That said, while you can go anywhere you want after the initial tutorial area, I'd stick the main quest until you get the camera. While not strictly necessary, it's useful to have and be aware of the things that will show up on the way to that point.
If I:
* Have never played either Gravity Rush game, but intend to.
* Am a stickler for playing series in order, so would want to play through 1 before playing 2 (ideally with a bit of time between the two as a palate-cleanser)
* Am aware I have a July deadline for server shutdown on GR2's online content
So, in other words, if I'm going from a very standing start, is getting total completion of GR2 - including online unlockables - viable without burning out on the game?
Edit: Oh, and I've just started Xenoblade Chronicles 2, so I'm also curious whether GR is different enough to fit playing concurrently, or if I should postpone the start until I'm in the XC2 endgame.
Correct, it isn't a compilation with the second spin-off installment. Only the Nintendo Switch received a collection with both games since it was a budget release; however, RER2 isn't actually available on the cartridge as a result of size limitations. The first Revelations was simply released a standalone title on PS4/XBO since Capcom spent the past year or so gradually porting the remainder of the series. RER2 had already debuted on both consoles earlier at the beginning of the generation.Soooo, this version of Resident Evil Revelations doesn't have RER2 correct, it's only the first one? I'm pretty sure it's the case, it's just bothering me that its been released recently, thought it would be a compilation.
The what's new section on my PS4 only shows updates from people I'm following but not from my friends list, it's been like this for 6 months now. Is this on Sony or have I done something stupid on my PS4 to change this?
If you're able to start on the first installment pretty soon, I would say that it's viable to have everything unlocked before the server shutdown in the summer. Just be forewarned that you might have to dig deeper into your wallet on the chance you'd prefer a hard copy of the remaster in the States. It was released exclusively through Amazon and second-hand sellers tend to ask close to the cost of a new release or more ($60+) since it has gone out of print for about a year-and-a-half now. Alternatives do exist between PAL and Asia territories which support English subtitles, too.
Anyway, it usually takes about ten hours to complete the main story on the first installment with about double that time if you're aiming for a Platinum trophy. The sequel runs between two-to-three times that length with the main story taking about 20 hours, approximately 30 hours with added side-quests, and 55+ hours for full completion. Based on the best of my knowledge, none of the Dusty Token unlockables are tied to trophies. They're basically a point system that rewards interaction with the minimal amount of Net activities scattered in the open-world like treasure hunts, photo sharing and player challenges. You'll presumably just lose the ability to unlock the extra costumes, gestures and home accessories for your hideout which are all cosmetic, but I do confess they add charm to the world and offer some decent variety given the total length. I think the final reward for the Dusty system is a talisman that allows you to fly around with unlimited gravity and the online aspect does ease talisman hunting which is tied to the trophies. Basically, players that die down in the mining realms, an optional section for grinding, will drop their equipped items which allows you to gather rare material faster than after the server shuts down. Hope these details help out!
Does the controller show up in the controller configurator for Big Picture Mode? It probably uses DirectInput by default and will need to emulate x-input through BPM for most games to make any use of it. Alternatively, you might need a bluetooth adapter as someone else mentioned. At least, that would be the case for the official Nintendo Pro Controller. This seems like a good thread to pose my question.

Hmm, are you're friends listed in the "following" section too?
You automatically follow someone when you become friends but maybe you have that switched off somehow.
No I removed them because I thought it was pointless if they are in my friends list.
Well the what's new section is for people that you follow afaik.
Just followed everyone again. Had no idea that friends list updates were removed. It's all working now, thanks.
Imgur does this, for example. What is the best way to turn my very short videos into animated pictures to share?
Is there something local I can download? I prefer that to web based.
