What I like about SCP is that there are so many things out there "destined" to destroy our world that they effectively cancel one another, lol, that's a neat concept.
No idea what SCPs were before this thread. Now I know and have no idea why they are scary or awesome. Random object is dangerous, technical reasons why, and so on and so on. I don't get the appeal.

EDIT: http://www.scp-wiki.net/antimemetics-division-hub
"there is no antimemetics division" is completed and "five five five five five" is ongoing. they're all by one author. the page also lists everything conceptually similar.
Yeah I only found out when I went to his personal site to check for new stories in general and noticed he had a link to his scp profile. I'll always shill for the dude. Most of his stuff has been great, even if I was originally salty over the ending of RaSHIT I had no idea qntm decided to write more antimemetics stuff. Looks like I have new reading material, fuck yeah!
One of my personal favorites:

For every ten SCPs that are a living nightmare, there also exists altruistic little critters like these.
I just read 3125 from this series. Really cool ride.EDIT: http://www.scp-wiki.net/antimemetics-division-hub

SCP-1845-1 is currently of the belief that it and its associates are prisoners of war and that its allies will ransom or rescue it in the near future; it is not to be disabused of this notion. Foundation wildlife surveys shall conduct regular reconnaissance of SCP-1845's native environment in search of any uncontained animals.
SCP-1845 currently consists of the following;
- One male American red fox (Vulpes vulpes fulvus), approximately 3 years old at the time it entered Foundation custody in 20██, designated SCP-1845-1.
- Fourteen muskrats, twelve ducks, six bald eagles, two deer, three feral cats, two gray wolves, and two crows, designated SCP-1845-2.
- Twenty-six pigeons, sixteen mountain lions, twelve squirrels, eleven sheep, eight black bears, six raccoons, and a Bengal tiger, designated SCP-1845-3.
SCP-1845-1 has been observed to be the leader of the colony and the only member of the group observed to be able to use the installed keyboard. SCP-1845-1 considers itself to be of royal heritage and identifies itself using the title "His Royal Highness, Eugenio the Second, by the Grace of God, King of the Forest, Lord of the Plains, Duke of the Grand Fir and the Undergrowth, Count of the Swamp, Margrave of ██ ███████, Warden of All the Streams and Rivers, and Lord Protector of the Cities of Man, Defender of the Faith." SCP-1845-1 identifies itself and its followers as Roman Catholics and appears to be extremely pious in its devotions - it has been observed on video praying over its meals and observing holidays and saintly feast days, and has been observed to order punishments against other members of the colony for perceived lack of piety.
Been playing this new SCP game a lot, it can be really fun but finding a server is torture.
I absolutely love that story, along with "Cain" and the The Gate Guardian. Which all tie in together.I spent some time with "Able" and related stories / discussion pages last night.

076 has that ratio. An old SCP that has a ton of upvotes but also has a ton of really vicious comments. Kinda fun reading through that community wrestling with that part of the heritage.
I made the 3000 contest thread at the old site, many of those entries were great. I'm not a big fan of 3999 though, the dialogue is not great.
I really like the one with the creepy vhs tapes, it has great imagery. Forgot the number though.
I agree with that. I read this story which implies two SCPs are connected, but I dislike it because I like both SCPs so much and would like to keep them separate.

Whats the one (might be a tale) of the guy existing within a void, not knowing who/what he is, only knowing that the word "Foundation" makes him angry and when he screams it makes ripples in the void itself?
SCP fans might be interested in the Magnus Archives podcast. On the surface it's a series of short stories involving SCP-like artifacts and events being catalogued by a fictional Magnus Institute in London, England, but there's also a major overarc that binds the stories together. It's now in its third of five planned seasons, and definitely hits the creepy vibes of a lot of the best SCP articles.

Red Pool is one of my favorite entries. Especially the expedition into it.
Been going through 3000 and upwards, found the indestructible and unstoppably affectionate dog entry pretty funny:
Yeah seen him before, he's pretty cool.Posted him earlier but really love this guy from series 3
