Ohhhh boy. Caught a perfect Machop today. Fucking wow. Evolved him and fed him some dust. I'm not sure if I would max him out...I totally can though.
Yeah it just ate through about 180k stardust. Ouch. Worth it though.

When coordinating raids on Facebook there are always these same people who just show up without saying anything. They never chime in when we're trying to get a headcount and trying to decide a go time. They're just there. For regular raids it would be nice to count them in, but whatever.
Well not communicating doesn't work so well for EX raids. I made a post yesterday asking for everyone who was going and if they were going to need extra time to get there.
As we finished the raid, one of the above mentioned people is running over asking if we started and why we couldn't have waited and that she just got off of work, my response was did you communicate any of that to us before the raid? The answer was no.

It's really weird. We had people walking towards us and just casually adding something to a gym while we were talking. And we were on the same team!
And when we non-confrontationally ask why they use multi accounts during raids, some people get really evasive or give the standard response of "doing it for a friend or family member"

My area has players spread out pretty thin and sometimes the spoofers make up the difference in having enough people to finish a raid on time. That, and simple laziness, leads to raids being in public lobbies more often than not.
I honestly don't care if people multi-account. As long as they are actually physically going to raids, bring as many accounts as you want, I say. Now that gym shaving isn't a thing any more, someone else multi-accounting really doesn't affect me negatively in any way.
Valor is lazy in my area. Rarely does a gym turn red, but when one does, it fills up within minutes. hah
If someone shaves me out of a gym, they are helping me by giving me coins.
And if a gym is full, it is full. I'll move on to another one. I'm not really gonna be mad that a full gym is technically only occupied by four people instead of six.

If it was my 1st 100% Dratini family member, absolutely. But I already have a 100% lv 40 Dragonite (leveled up from like a lv 20ish Dratini.. lots of candy/stardust). I actually have a 800ish CP 100% Dragonite caught in wild too (near my work as well)
Caught it for my wife too, it is her 1st 100% Dragonite though. But, unlike me she doesn't has a lot of stardust. And already has a very nice 98% Dratini/Dragonite from a egg (I was never that lucky).

Congrats! I'd max it but that's just the perfectionist in me. :)
I haven't taken over gyms solely for the purpose of collecting coins for a long time now. I mean, it's really just 50 cents each day. Hardly worth the amount of effort you're putting in. At least before you also collected 5k stardust. You'd need to feed 250 berries each day just to reach the same amount!
My first 100% is my Dragonaire and once the community event happens next month I'll try and max him out.
Well I'm strictly F2P (except for the small amount of money I get from Google Rewards) so every little bit of coins help.
Lucky! I wish I had more 100 percent trophies. I really wish I had a rhyhorn nest around me or something. Build up a higher level army with them or something.

I've been lucky in a few cases, but also missed nice ones too, esp in a big city like where I am (Atlanta). Weather boosted or not, getting a hundro Larvitar was finally possible, they spawn few times a week when it's the correct weather.
I'm still holding out on a 100% lv30+ Sloth, I am not evolving one till I get one (since I really don't plan to level it up myself lol)

So is there a confirmed viable method of triggering an EX raid invite? We tried to get a big group together to raid a gym that has hosted several EX raids but managed to overshoot and had to split up. The split ended up being 9 and 14, both private groups.
Looks liek Niantic did a surprise ex raid pass wave. People getting passes today for a exraid on saturday.
Did not get a pass this time though, did do 2 raids on that location.

The gym I raided at lunch got an EX raid but none of us got an invite. It had been the first time in a while we've done that gym, though we've done it enough to have silver badges on nothing other than raiding it.
We did it super close to when they actually handed the invites out, so maybe we're still in the pool for the next one.

You're no longer motivated to try when there are more opportunities, and when people are figuring the system out? Now's not the time to give up on it.
A large number of EX raid invite recipients here this wave were weekend raiders. Raiding during the week isn't a requirement. Heck, I'm almost exclusively a weekday raider and I've received no invites since the first beta waves, which clearly functioned differently from the current system.
I haven't raided at a single EX location all week. I'm just focused on Pokédex completion.

Welp, scratch that. Apparently, my coworker's alt account got an EX raid invite from the raid we did at lunchtime today. He had never raided that gym on that account before and no other device in our group, including his main account, got an invite despite running in the same private group.
EDIT: Seems every coworker got in except me. lol
Guess I'm going to be back there to raid again sooner rather than later.

10 Kyogres caught so far and none are over 90%. Ugh. At least the one I just got has max attack.
I just caught my tenth Kyogre yesterday and same here, best is 89. Out of 23 Kyogre attempts I never saw one over 2300 CP.
I'm done with Kyogre, it's so strong I'm not going to worry about 3 Attack points.
