It's weird that the void elves have so many customization options compared to the rest, like they spent more time on them than the others.

You still get healing from Havoc it drops on the ground as purple little orbs, you need to move more than with vengeance since with vengeance you suck up those orbs.
Oh so that explains when I dash I gain life sometimes... I feel so stupid...

I took demonic appetite which gives your chaos strike more chances to give you lesser soul fragments and I didnt understand why I never got any in my inventory...so they're on the floor...

Hmm sometimes they fall on the floor pretty far and I have to step near it to get it or maybe i'm just hallucinating.

Just hit level 103 with my demon hunter and finished Azsuna and now picked Stormheim. Pacing is nice.

When we're done kicking Azshara's and Void Lords collective non existing asses.....is there any other big bad still out there? Maybe a second go around with the Lich King perhaps. Feels like all the major big bads will have been dealt with.

They'll either make up a new ultimate baddie or release one of the old ones from whatever prison they've been in. LK coming for a round two wouldn't be out of the question given how shady he's been acting in Legion.

Turns our Sargeras wasn't the big bad controlling the legion, it was actually Mal'ganis, and there's an even burnier legion on our doorsteps, and only Elune (who, it turns out, happens to be a scantily clad dragon based on the Blood Elf model) can save us, but nobody can find her, so we resurrect Kel'thuzad from his phylactery that Wrathion had stored away on Kezan and with his help we go to space to end the burnier legion.

This expansion is the first time that I've thought that WoW2 might actually be in the works. The Emerald Dream (which could have been an expansion in itself) was wrapped up in a raid tier, the four major demon lords were defeated in record time, Sargeras was put on a bus, and next expansion we'll be cleaning up Azshara AND tackling the Old Gods.

It's not just that we're running out of villains; it's that Blizzard seems to be powering through their villains with reckless abandon.

Not to mention you eventually hit diminishing returns on adding new content. Would a 13th class really be that exciting for the game? How many race options is too many? Is your collection of 331 mounts that much more satisfying than when you just had 1 or 2 mounts in your inventory?

They've been pressed for space on the world map for years, and you can only add so many planets / alternate timelines before the game no longer feels like it's really "Warcraft".

And, personally, if it does turn out that the Old Gods have corrupted the planet, I can't think of a more thematically appropriate final boss than Azeroth herself.

They will have us go to some distant world that has an impending doom that is going to threaten us somehow. I actually hope they revisit the LK in some way but I am hopeful that it isn't because Bolvar turned evil or anything, that would just piss me off. That's my homeboy.

Eh, Bolvar is already doing some shady shit in Legion and he's like the most obvious and easiest option in the game if they want to.

"Return of the Lich King" will sure be a hot topic in 2020 !

All this talk about the storyline makes me feel like crap that i've missed all that. Is it still possible to go back and do the storyline as a high level? Or I'd have to start a new character.

I am loving questing again I still run dungeons but it's refreshing to not just have to sit in org and jump on boxes while I wait for a timer to tick down.

People are upset because they wanted playable Nightborne to be the same quality and have the same variety as the NPCs. Obviously that's not possible in every sense, but they fell pretty short in places they probably shouldn't have. Facial options, skin tones, etc. Hair not being animated, hair disappearing entirely so you look bald when you put on a helm/hat, etc. They've fixed some of this stuff, so hopefully they continue listening to the feedback.

Pricing of tokens on NA isn't bad. 189~k. Got my last 5 USD I needed and started a LFD paladin and a VE priest. And surprisingly I am enjoying the priest enough that I might level that up first.

I like that you start at level 20. Could have been nicer to start at 30 or 40 but it's nice anyway.

I took that talent at first too, but later I switched to the demon blades one. The passive that replaces demon blades or it might be called demons blade. Much preferred since you don't have to always be spamming demon blades, it's like it automatically spams itself whenever you auto-attack but not every autoattack.

Pretty much. They definitely didn't hit the standard that people expected based off the quality of the NPCs. Especially some of the more obvious shortcomings/oversights. IMO they're not THICC enough. I mean you look at the thighs on an NPC and a player model and there's no comparison. As you say though, hopefully they continue to improve on/expand options for them over time.

Demon Blades vs. Demon's Bite is interesting because when leveling it feels terrible to not have a generator, since you don't have all your abilities/talents just yet. However at max level in a dungeon/raid environment, especially with set bonuses, it doesn't make sense to use anything but Demon Blades.

You can certainly do it all, but keeping track of it might take some work unless you just linearly kind of hit everything.

It's pretty obvious that they just wanted what the NPCs have been showing for the past year or so.

Saying otherwise just makes you look like a fanboy.
It's been days after the night borne polava and the company still hasn't said a peep about them.

tbh they brought this upon themselves because of their lack of communication in the first place.

They set up the expectations themselves with the NPCs and then output zero communication that the playable result would be different. So no shit people were gonna be pissed when they're surprised by that.

It's like the company doesn't know they have words and how to use them.
What are they supposed to say? The playable race IS NOT DIFFERENT.
These are NPCs on the left, PCs on the right. Obviously you can't get Silgryn's hot armor (and the earrings missing from the males is odd since it exists for PCs too, probably an oversight), but this shit IS THE SAME.

Like, the fuck did anyone think they were going to look like? Cry for Nightborne all expansion, then get them and whine that they're not good enough. Seems legit.

I get the eye complaint and some of the proportion complaints, but you'd be hearing a lot less complaints if they were as polished as other races, and even the other allied races. There's just a bunch of tiny weird shit going on when you get up close, like part of the eyebrow texture being off, the scalp thing they patched, the hair texture etc.

They look great overall but once you sit down with one you start to notice the seams more and more.

Except the dudes. But Night Elf dudes are terrible too so that's just keeping in the spirit of their base race.

The eyes and face shapes are different, males apparently don't have the ear jewelry option that you see on the NPC, and the NPC model has more defined musculature.

There's no need to be disingenuous.

I wasn't sure what people were talking about before but seeing them side by side I can absolutely see the difference between them. The BfA Nightborne look like blueberry Night Elves, while the original Legion npcs seem to have more distinct face, eye, and ear textures. Their skin and hair are also not as saturated which makes them look a bit more "natural".

While most of the NPCs in the starting area have the new look, I don't see any that look like them in the original Suramar/Shalaran area. For instance, the children are the only ones that seem to have the bulbus glowing eyes.

I'm fighting the legion and all of a sudden it's the forsaken, what?
Stormheim I assume? That's a bit of a side bit, if you watched the cinematic trailers and did the broken shore stuff you should have a pretty good idea of what is going on though, as far as why Genn hates Sylvannas so intensely suddenly anyway.

actually...do demon hunters skip that? they might. You might actually have missed the entire 'intro' to the broken shore as one (They come in right at the end of that whole thing I believe?)

EDIT: And that's also remembering that you didn't play in Cata either. To say that the worgen/Genn Greymane HATE sylvannas would be an understatement.

Genn's still really pissed about the Forsaken attacking his city and Sylvanas shooting his son in the back during Cataclysm while also abandoning the Alliance at the Broken Shore.

And Sylvanas is pissed because Genn broke her fancy Valkyr-capturing lantern.

Stoped playing for today, got to level 104 and now I'm reading some lore. I will try to find something that resumes what went on from vanilla to now. While reading about Sylvanas I just found out she's the new horde leader as well. Interesting.

That actually happens right after the cutscene I linked you. When demon hunters come in, it's actually JUST after she takes command.
Thrall was the leader, gave it up to go be jesus, made Garrosh the leader. Garrosh was a giant asshole so Voljin overthrew him, now voljin died and sylv is leader as of Legion.

Yeah. Vol'jin got mortally wounded during the conjoined attack on the broken shore and handed off control to Sylvanas (begrudgingly)

To me balance feels super crap to play. I'd rather be resto or feral.

But in general Druid is probably my least favorite class ahead of Priest, which I tend to dislike even more.

The Nightborne models do definitely need to be fixed, they are kinda half arsed right now.

The only melee I haven't been able to "feel" is Death Knight....it doesn't feel like they got the same sense of impact as other melee do.

It's not that bad really.

Do your WQ there, and any quest you got. It all adds up and sooner than later you'll hit it.

yeah but

like I'd need to do 200 WQs to even get close to exalted(Provided there are no daily cache missions) and shit. And those WQs only spawn in Mac'Cree and no where else, so there's a max of like 8 per day.

I dont understand, demon blades gives you 60% chance to deal additional shadow damage and fury, not soul fragments.

But what you gain is the ability to use your other abilities while you gain fury from your auto-attacks, instead of spamming demon's bite to gain fury. It'll also make your auto-attacks reset your felblade if you pick that for your first talent (amazing talent).

You'll still get a healing orb when you kill something. As you get more proficient at killing, the less healing you'll need. And metamorphosis can be used for clutch heals, since it gives you 30% leech (% damage you deal heals you). On top of that, you have blur and the darkness ability to reduce incoming damage and of course blade dance gives you 1 second of 100% dodge.
