I want the Pats to get more picks. There's too much on the defensive side of the ball to fix with the few draft picks they currently have. Even if that means trading away some offensive assets.

A defensive end or linebacker are at the top of my list. Maybe a bigger need at linebacker, but great DE's are harder to find the further you get in the draft. I'd love to get a tackling machine at linebacker like the Pats used to have. Haven't had one of those since the Jerod Mayo days. The current linebackers (sans Hightower) can't tackle, cover or pressure. I wouldn't complain if literally all of the Patriots linebackers were released, aside from Hightower. They just... suck.
Pretty nuts that the game has the most offense yards in history without even having an OT 0_o . Pats need a pass rush and have for a while. Offense is too easy now to let QB's have all day.

I think a lot of that comes down to scheme. Matt's defense wasn't remotely aggressive. Honestly I fucking hate that scheme. Much prefer Wade Phillips style defenses. Was always jealous of his Broncos defenses.

Matt's defense is all about contain and nothing else. Or at least that's what it seems like. No pressure. No hard hits. No emotion. I love the offensive side of the Pats, but watching the defensive side is painful.

I spent $100 on SB Merch yesterday, will be spending another $100 or so on framed copies of Newspapers, and I doubt i'm even close to being done

Why didn't anyone tell me that winning the Superbowl is fucking expensive?!??

Don't worry, your second and third are pretty cheap. I'd imagine that by 6, all you do is post something of Facebook.

Knowing Tom, he might actually do that. If Edelman was throwing the ball, it would have been perfect.

Did you known that Julian Edelman was a quarterback in college? I bet nobody knew that!

Yeah this is like the Tony Gonzalez played basketball thing. Or Antonio Gates. Turns out football players are incredible athletes and have played other sports growing up!

They haven't been a big play defense since early 2000's. Their only turnover this playoff run was the tip ball at the 5 yard line. If they had an average QB they wouldn't even be a plus in the turnover ratio.

Their best defense in recent times was back in 2014. Chandler Jones, Jamie Collins, Hightower, Revis, Wilfork, Browner, Ninkovich. Good god that defense was fucking loaded.

Bill has let that side of the ball rot away since then. Filled it with special teamers, practice squad players and cast offs that nobody wanted. It's the least talented defense in years. And it was all preventable.

Got back from Philly last night, thinking about driving back for the parade. Staying up until 3 AM celebrating was a highlight of my life.

I scheduled a dental check-up 2 weeks ago on Monday so I could take Monday as a sick day, but it's going to be really hard for me to take a vacation day on Thursday for the Parade. Really hoping I get the chance, because I was away at school when the Phillies won back in 08, and I don't take for granted i'll have another parade chance in my lifetime

I don't think there's a chance in hell that Burkhead or Dion Lewis are back with the Pats next year. Josh and Matt are going to grab any ex-Pats that they can.

edit: Bread's thread was far superior!!!

How long until Josh McDaniels has a falling out with Andrew Luck and then trades him to the Broncos for Trevor Siemian and a 4th?
