There is barely any difference between loading times of internal vs. external SSD. However, the boost over the standard HDD is quite noticable.
Had it several times. Power cycle or hard reset should help. Worked for me.
Maybe some has reported you (without reason). Some in my friends list had the same issues. Cause for them was they play a lot of competitive multiplayer games and were good so people reported them for cheating. Silly world we live in. Also the reason why I personally prefer cooperative multiplayer and single player games.
It's stuff like this that has kept me from multiplayer games on the consoles. Guessing this is going to limit my Monster Hunter fun too, but whatever.
I play Siege a lot and this is nonsense. This shitty system needs a rework.
You didn't send or reply to an antagonistic message? Because that's pretty much all they seem to ban anyone for. Someone reports a message, and some volunteer hall monitor chump feels like a big man for pressing the "should ban" button.
Nothing bad at all. One guy team killed me and I just sent him "lol what a team" and that's it. I never go talk shit to anyone even if they do
Just got a nice bonus at work and I want to get an X. Are there any good deals or bundles out there? I have searched around and couldn't find any.

I was going to try transferring hdd soon. Is the front port suitable for hdd, especially for sending 2tb to a larger drive?
OMFG Ninja Gaiden Black is on Game Pass!!! So glad I got this X. Lots of games I'm looking forward to revisiting, including Skate 3 and the afore mentioned NGB.

Forza Horizon 3 and Gears 4 in 4K HDR are absolutely stunning. So happy with my purchase. It's nice to be back.
I just got the new system update and I'm not seeing the Game Pass section in My Games and Apps or the download queue in the guide. Are these features still in preview?

It's great. I enjoyed the multiplayer more than I did in the first game. Also the CG cut scenes are something to see, especially with the much better art direction than Halo 5.
I thought there was a new update I didn't do. So the answer is yes, all the new features are still in preview.

So got my 4th Xbox now this seems a new unit from MS rather than a repair, took 2 weeks this time. Same as Simbo no video signal on the 3 old units but so far this one is working fine.
One thing which I had thought that it was the external HDD causing damage to the HDMI port since I was using the USB connection on the rear next to it. It's a mains powered internal SSHD in a external case so I'm thinking was it overloading electric or something and causing the HDMI to blowout/overload.
So I've decided for now to just reinstall the games I favour to the internal and avoid that external drive.

finally caved and got PUBG on the X. Wow, that performance is god awful. But, damn, my buddy and I had a blast playing it for a few hours last night. The most fun I've had in awhile. Reminded me of the old Battlefield 2 days.

Weird, been always using the rear USB port since launch and even when I got the X still using the same and all good
I use an external powered USB Hub for all drives and never had any issues with it (connected to one of the rear USB ports).
Just got myself an Xbox One X! It feels good to be back (had an Xbox 360 but sold it after a year and played exclusively PS3, PS4 and PC).
Playing on a 1080P monitor right now and I have to say, AC: Origins looks great on this. Installing Forza Horizon 3 and Gears of War 4 which I had bought for PC a while ago. Already loving this Play Anywhere thing.
I'm getting myself an LG 32UD99 soon (4K, HDR compatible monitor). I wonder if the jump will be as huge as everyone tells me. In any case, I'm impressed with the build quality of this thing. It looks very premium next to my PS4 pro, which kinda looks off.
I do hope we'll see some more first party games in the years to come, but I'll be buying all the multiplatform games on the X so that kind of compensates. Sea of Thieves and Crackdown 3 seem to be the big ones.
edit: as I'm writing this I realize how this sounds like a Microsoft ad. It's not, I swear.

1) Is there really no way to force downloads of the 4K texture updates on my S right now? From everything I've found online you're only choice is to turn on the correct settings, and then wait. The console will download the updates......when it feels like it?
2) What's the best transfer method? Is network much slower than an external drive? I kind of wanted to wait on buying an external drive, but I could just do it now. I'd like a compact 2tb external drive. Any tips to follow on this?
3) Anything else I should know about this process? Thanks!

Was thinking about upgrading to a 1X here pretty soon but I had a few q's.
All the game saves are already in the cloud right? So all I really need to do since I'm not planning on moving any games over (I'll DL or install them back in at a later date) is just hook up the console and enter my account? Also, in order to play any games from my account offline I'm going to have to make it my "Home Xbox" (which transfers the licenses?) correct?

Exactly. All the games you own are tied to your gamertag which you can download from your "Ready to install" list. Former game saves will downloaded from your account first time you start a game from a fresh install.
As long you logged in with your gamertag you should able to play your games offline even if it is not your home console (but I not sure about that).
ACO is a good choice. If you already own The Witcher 3 or Rise of the Tomb Raider those are also good games that really play and look fantastic on the One X. I am a backer of Kingdom Come but I also wait for some bug fixes before I actually start the game.
So I got my X set up last night. I put the Gears 4 disc in before going to bed and I figured I'd let it install overnight. I turned off the tv with about 3% installed.
I wake up and the console is off, which I expected, but upon turning it on I see it immediately resumed the install and it's at 11%. So it seems the console shut itself off not too long after I left it. Anyone have a guess as to why? I do have my console set to power down after 1 hour of inactivity, but it's hard to believe it only went from 3-11% in an hour and I didn't expect it to consider itself inactive when it's installing a game. In the 30 minutes I've been up it went from 11-40%.
So I'm really not sure what to think.

Yeah, I'm a big fan of the Witcher and played it on the PS4. I also enjoyed ROTTR on Xbox and was planning another playthrough when I got my 1X.
I'm thinking about getting this console in a week, and I'm not going to have a 4K tv until summer because college student. What are the standout 1080p Xbox One X games?
Well, you'll notice a difference of course even on a 1080p TV
Any game that's enhanced for the X is going to look very sharp on your 1080tv.
