Anyone here played Radiant Historia's demo? Took me more than 2 hours to beat it. I was amazed by the great battle system and the story of course. I can't wait for the release day @@.

I completely missed the news of a demo. The battle system is fun and the story is great to, with plenty of bad ends like in FF XIII-2.

several people here mentioned taking 7-8 hours for it even.

can anyone confirm there is something you carry over into the full game from the demo? iirc I heard there was some item/stuff you can get from the demo. wanna make a note this in the OT next week.

Hm, I think some gameplay just sold me on FE, and I think it'll hold me over till yooka laylee goes on sale. Looks like a fun 3D adventure. Otherwise no more buying for me till I get some of my Dreamcast backlog done!

We can finally use the gold coins for something. Plus we essentially get 5% worth of gold coins per amount spent. I'm happy with that.

I decided to start splasher and I instantly fell for it. Currently have 2 colour paints and the game has really get tricky now. The restart is lightening quick which takes the constant deaths (for me anyway) a lot less painless. You can definitely the Rayman Origins and Legends design pedigree in the game but it defiantly is it's own beast with the paint. Something uprising was the music. Really neat and fits the theme.

Splasher is really a great 2D platform. Have fun.

The demo is in average 7h lenght. It took me almost 8 to finish it and i didn't do some sidequests that were also available.
Yes, besides the fact that you can carry your demo save data to the full game you also get 4 bonus items for the full game. Mainly health potions and that.

Crypt of the Necromancer is quite fun so far, the rhythm part is easy just learn the enemy patterns + keep movin and your good to go, and believe me i have no rhythm at all.

Edit: permanent upgrades too yes!!!!
That's a good start for a roguelike music is also neat.

I am super tempted to buy Floor Kids as it's 21% off. Might spring for it to support the developer as it doesn't sound like it's got as much attention as some other indies on switch

I'm also on the same boat. I think i'll get the game since it sounds a really cool concept. The sale price might finally push me to get it.

Permanent upgrades?! now I'm interested, although I may wait on a sale perhaps

Yes health, extra chests and more coins multipliers so far but extra perm life upgrades already is amazing imo.
I mean, I don't mind rogue likes, but my fave have some form of carryover Heart and slash have upgrade points. Has Been Heroes lacks that and I have continuation issues due to the ramping difficulty. permanent upgrades allow for better scaling with the difficulty

I'm so tempted by Rocket League for under £12. Am I missing anything significant by getting the core game as opposed to the retail version?

If it's just a bunch of different, themed cars then I'm fine with missing out.

How's FIFA 18 on Switch? I'm a casual soccer game player who doesn't follow a lot of soccer.

I picked it up at launch and played through. It's a fun little adventure game; no combat really to speak of, just avoiding enemies, not entirely unlike what you would imagine an 8 bit Amnesia would play like. The view is top down like zelda 1 or 3, and the gameplay is mosly figuring out puzzles in various rooms and not getting killed by enemies. Multiple endings as well, based on your choices, and some memorable characters. Probably worth your coin if it's on sale, but maybe not worth full price if you're looking for bang for your buck.

Funny that you're posting that in the eShop thread of all places :D
Well it's the overall Switch thread I'm keeping an eye on and I guess there's quite a few people who were planning on picking it up digitally that now might grab the physical release instead. ;)

It's good and IMO absolutely worth the discounted price, if you like to play soccer casually. It apparently missing a few modes that's on PS4/XBONE/PC, but it got huge amount of content anyway. The game is 60 fps, and it works surprisingly pretty well in 2-player tabletop as well (since there is no split screen). Please note that I have only played it locally, never online (apparently FIFA 18/Switch doesn't support online with friends).

If it's just a bunch of different, themed cars then I'm fine with missing out.

The physical version is supposed to contain the following additions:
  • Supersonic Fury DLC Pack
  • Revenge of the Battle-Cars DLC Pack
  • Chaos Run DLC Pack
  • Aftershock DLC Car
  • Marauder DLC Car
  • Esper DLC Car
  • Masamune DLC Car
  • Customization Items inspired by DC Comics' The Flash
  • Limited Art Print by Psyonix Concept Artist, Jay Zhang
I have played a lot of RL now (much more on the Switch than I did on PC, BTW), and still never felt the need to get car customizations outside what the game gives you anyway.

The game currently looks a bit bad graphically, but it's huge fun nevertheless, and they have said that there will be a graphics-improved update for Switch this spring.

Dandara could use another boss.

And outside of its one hit kill that becomes easy to read, the final boss is easier relative to the game's difficulty than the previous two.

Totally agree. One more boss would have been nice. The second boss was the best designed one for sure. The ending boss only took me two tries to finish. Kinda disappointing as I felt like the ending was abrupt, I didn't even know I was at the ending until the credits. But I still liked the game a bunch.

Thanks for the info. I'm going to go for the on sale digital version because I just don't need any of those DLC cars.

There's nothing to do after the end. It just means the shaft you go down has all the resources blocks/ground types randomized..
I mean I am thinking that right there is a ton more to do than the sequel where the resource blocks were limited( in the normal map not rooms). So I might be able to just keep digging for something
