Then why the fuck did you keep promoting their Twitch streams over and over again, like you provided some kind of value?
You will notice i stopped doing that a long time ago. (i think i only did it once here, if that)

When is the last time you think i promoted their stream ?

December is not that long ago. And posting their Twitch streams is what I associate you with the most in the threads, it was "your thing".

Either way, I never understood why you kept doing it despite being so unhappy with them as people. It never made sense to me.

Like i said, i only think i posted a stream in here, not sure for certain. i Doubt though.

But you're right, it was my thing for a long while.

Uhh. Couple of reasons really, force of habit (i have a big problem with getting in a rut all the time)
And it made some people in here happy, and i like feeling like i'm being helpful and that i'm contributing to something.

Though if you can remember, the more disillusioned i became with them. The more I started to taper off linking the streams. And started asking people if they still wanted me to do it or not. Until i just stopped altogether.

Thank you for taking your time and explaining it. I genuinely didn't want to shame or antagonize you but it was really hard for me understand your reasoning.
Part of my annoyance probably comes them having so incredibly awful opinions on games and Twitch chat being garbage in general. I literally didn't see any value in promoting them.

I'm sure this was answer here, so sorry for asking. But whatever happened to Jessi?
Some of my favorite Best of the Worst are with her in it.

They've never really given an answer as far as I'm aware. But the assumption is that she was getting creeped out by a subsection of the fanbase obsessed with her. Apparently they even had a reddit for her feet or something.

I think someone found Mike on Facebook and it said they were still together.

Cool. I'm glad you could understand where i'm going from.

Ain't that the truth.

And the chat got even worse when they (Rich and Jack) told al the mods to ease up on the chat even when they were being horrible. But i suppose that's what happens when you start to pander a new core audience. The hilarious thing was, the rules weren't even that strict. Just basic don't be an asshole type stuff.

i stopped watching pre-rec live, but the streams are easily the most enjoyable thing to watch. the reviews are like whatever. they're not even trying to be funny anymore.

i was watching the youtube streams, but im stuck on like 2016 at this point. ill never catch up, since i dont really even do that anymore

There was some pre req stuff that got Jack talking about how he went to school for being a clown. I think it was the manhunt series.

The Helldivers review was pretty funny, but also, the stream message that Rich was reading that they kept cutting back to was mine.

Honestly, if Pre-Rec was nothing but the The Order review, it was worth it.

Shy, out of curiosity, what has Jack gone to bat for that's really objectionable? For Rich it's sadly obvious, but Jack seems to have a good head on his shoulders. It was awhile ago now, but on the pre-election stream he had his shit together.

I feel like Jack tries at least, which sort of puts him above the others. And he's not afraid to state a political opinion.

RE The Order 1886 review: It's gunshot CUT TO BLACK. There's no fade. Drove me crazy during the live stream and in the review. It's a hard cut to black, not a fade!

As someone who checked out of Pre-Rec streams right around Rich was complaining about why he can't say "tranny" and "retard" anymore, and argued with Jack about the moderation of the word "retard" in their chat, I have no idea what Jack has done, outside of his tepid "I wasn't inspired to vote, so *shrug*" both sides-ism.

I think someone found Mike on Facebook and it said they were still together.

People say this but I don't think anyone has ever offered proof of it, like a screenshot of Facebook. Whatever the reason, she's long gone, and hasn't even been heard off-mic for the last several years (nor has she appeared in credits, like she used to when off screen, in years).

She didn't want to be on camera anymore is kinda sorta the official word and that's about it
Yeah, there were a few subsequent videos where she can be heard in the background, but she's just been gone for quite a while now. It's a shame too, I feel as though the BotW format benefits from having a female there from time to time.

Also, in the background: Battle Beyond The Stars! Yay, a Roger Corman movie! (fake edit: not the movie I thought it was, but still a Corman movie)
*looks further down*
and Max Is Missing. Huh. Wonder what that could be about.

edit:
"Anthology shows don't work"
*sips Star Trek mug*
I still would have liked to see Discovery try.

also, in light of the above discussion on diet-racism, there is a 'joke' in here about the lead actress's name which was kind of a 'please don't' moment for me.

Plus, a Voyager reference.
(Naomi Wildman, damnit!)

Minus, them doing the "mess up hard sounding names on purpose because, hey, we're just midwestern white guys" thing.

Laughing at "weird' name is juvenile, but I don't think it's really racist at all.

Basically this, either with a real boring PC build, or an RLM-style fake repair/build using soldering irons and sparklers and hammers and power tools.

I'm interested to read Shy's thoughts on their humour re: Gugu Mbatha-Raw's name and the refusal to pronounce Oyelowo (Oh-Yellow-wo).

Really loved the points about Netflix they brought up in the Cloverfield Paradox HITB.

Sad part is I know a lot of studios get nervous to take their artsy films to the market and Netflix could've been a breeding ground for high quality hard to market films. This could've easily gone the other/better way but even that stuff is gonna be buried in higher profile bull shit now.

Netflix actually have a few examples of "out there" films that never would of got made (I don't feel at home in this world anymore) without them so it'd be a shame if they start becoming synonymous with shit being dumped on their platform.

Even Alex Garland's new film which looks excellent is forgoing a wide release and going straight to netflix. I'd hate to see people just assuming it's crap because it's "straight to netflix"

Completely agree with Mike regarding Open House. That movie was such shit. The ending was so dumb, not only because it didn't reveal the killer, but because they clearly set something up and then just ignored it at the end.

At the beginning of the film, the main character is training as a speed runner. At the end of the movie, he runs from the main bad guy, and the bad guy somehow kept up with him. Why would you set up the fact that he's competitively fast just to ignore it at the end?

That's a good point. I have loved quite a few movies they're released and they are picking up some great choices. Sadly, I usually have to discover these films outside of using Netflix because I'm constantly getting recommendations from them for films I have no interest in seeing. Guess it's a matter of them curating their selections a bit more that is the issue for me.

hah. i watched it with a friend and we complained about the same thing. theres multiple scenes of him running (the olympics is brought up in one line iirc), and it never pays off in any manner. he may as well as been cooking or something during those scenes, it was irrelevant.

I feel like "dump on Netflix" happened after the first year of Netflix stuff

I'm fine with it though. It's basically "free" with what you are already paying for. It becomes an issue when there's nothing good or it's mostly shit.

I don't know people in here think of me. But i don't enjoy saying these things.

To me this whole situation is absolutely heartbreaking. I wish it wasn't this way at all.

Firstly, sorry it's taken me so long to respond to you.

As for Jack, ummm. A lot of the times when when Rich says dumb shit he tends to more then most the time to go along with it in a wishy washy way.

Though on the rare occasions he has said some sketchy shit. But unfortunately it's been so long i can't remember an exact instance. Sorry.

Sorry that this isn't a much a response after keeping you waiting for a while.

I'm not familiar with the first gentleman, and what they said about him.

As for the latter, i'd say it's a shitty thing to do.

Also why you so interested in my thoughts ? LOL.

FYI, Shy, Gugu was the lead of The Cloverfield Paradox (why it came up), and starred in Black Mirror's best episode, San Junipero.

But thanks for replying. Coincidentally or not, right around the election was when I stopped tuning to PR with any regularity at all, so I guess I missed some stuff.

I was going to say something along the lines of well they always mispronounce names, like the star wars poon du boo boo!

But then thinking about it, that actually makes it sound way worse.

Surprisingly, for how many times I watched the Phantom Menace as a kid, it was RLM's review if it that made me realize how racist the Trade Federation people were.

Totally didn't catch on that they were using bad Asian accents before that. In the back of my head I think I knew, but I just thought they sounded like stupid aliens.
