So here's my luck. 5/5 on ray today. HIGHEST IV 89%, not a single tm, and very few rare candies.

On top of that all 6 of my rays have either ancient power or aerial ace.

The fucking rng in this game

I'm 8/10 with Rayquaza. Got 4 today that were weather boosted but still no 90+% one

Also caught a 96% Bagon time to walk it

I probably won't be catching a single Bagon or Beldum anytime soon. Will have to hatch them.

It will take a while for me get all non-regional Gen 3 Pokemon. Feebas, Trapinch, Ralts, Slakoth, Beldum, and Bagon lines being the most difficult by far.

I have a Wailmer nest nearby, so Wailord is not far off compared to the ones above. I'm at 288 Swablu Candy, so Altaria is close. I've been at level 35 for three months, and I still have 300k EXP left for the next level. I'll probably end the year at 37.

Beldum and Bagon are pretty common around here, especially with windy weather. Beldum moreso than Bagon.

Been constantly cloudy since the new wave of Pokemon. Hard to get excited about swarms of Gulpin and Makuhita.

Still, walking along the waterfront before work yesterday netted me a ton of Wailmer and Wingull.

Also, got myself this bad boy:

4/5 on rayray, but the one that ran away was 98%. At least I caught a 93% boosted

Yay 1/1 for Rayquaza, only 78% but it's always a relief to have a legendary 'crossed off' in case you can't make many raids in the month.

Been a super productive Pokemon weekend. Spent around 8 hours walking the oceanfront and got my Armaldo, Barboach, Altaria, Wailord, Sharpedo, Breloom, Masquerain, Pelipper, and Swellow.

I wish I had been playing more when Johto was released because my gen 2 section of the Pokedex is terrible.

0/6 on Quaza now... gah.

I'm 3/6
Its much easier to hit , much easier to get curved / excellent or great throws but its just not staying in the ball for me
Partly that might be because i still don't have my dragon medal (i'm bronze and about 6 or 7 off silver)

Hints for this one to get the great or excellent throws - given he is far and high
Lock the catching circle to the amount you want (hold the ball until the red circle is at the size you want around his head)
Wait for him to attack - then spin and throw as far as you can a little to the side of the top of the screen
With that i'm hitting things right - its just going to be luck for staying in

(I did fine with kyogre after a shaky start but i would still have him drift away from the ball or do a double attack so my ball missed)

So much this. I never liked this method until rayquaza. Started off 0/2 on him doing my regular thing. Decided to do this method and have gone 6/6 since.

Of course two 100 IV Bagons and one 100 IV Beldam popped when I was at the hockey game.

C'est la vie.

I ended up getting a 98 IV after the game, so at least I got something.

It's really too bad Metagross' moveset sucks. I was so pumped for him.

I always use the lock ball method, but I throw from the bottom left to the screen. But instead of moving to the right and have the ball curve back in, I stop a bit earlier ( middle of screen roughly and have it arch way less, with enough spin I rarely miss the excellent ( usually first ball only, because of muscle memory I guess).
I only stick with thowing when he attacks at the bottom though. This method so far got me 9 out of 10 Rayquaza, best ratio I had with any legendary after 10 tries. I once had 6/6 on Entei, but after that my luck changed drastically.
Hope this streak goes on heh.

On another note: Hatched a shiny Aron 91% IV with 15/14/12 stats. First shiny ever to be hatched here.

Looks like GPS drift works again at work.

Just in time to hatch 3x 10km eggs and 8x 2km eggs today. Now my egg sack is empty.

First Bagon was a hatch with 32 candy. Not too shabby.

Yeah I'm 0/2 so far and someone at my last raid told me about that so now I'm going to for sure give it a try.

I wish there was a practice catching mode you could enter from the Pokedex for every mon to try out your technique.

I'm 2/3 on Rayqs. I caught the last one with ease. Yeah, I now see it's easy to hit. The main thing is you need to wait till it's on bottom. Can be tricky since it's vertical movement is so scuttle.

I also caught a 100% Beldum on Saturday. Only lv 11, but nice to have if I don't get another. They spawn like crazy during the day time, so I'm sure I'll get another soon.

1/1 on Rayquaza so far.

I ran three level 5 raids yesterday, only one being a Ray. Had a bit of a pain point yesterday with the local community's chronic impatience; nearly the entire group I was running with was unwilling to wait three minutes for someone who wanted to join, and it wound up the person had yet to catch a single Kyogre and this was one of his only chances to do so. We ended up hanging back and begged for people on the local Discord to come help, and it took us until right up to the end of the raid timer to get enough for a second raid.

I feel really lucky with this, everyone i raid with is really nice.

Thank you all for the throwing advice in terms of holding the ball until you get the circle you want and then curve it and let it fly as soon as it attacks. Just did another Rayquaza and got mostly excellent throws using this method. Unfortunately it still ran so I'm 0/3 but at least I feel confident with this technique and they'll come in time.

Collected 6 the last few days, not sure to do the hatching the second I get all 9 or wait for the community day event. Reading conflicting stories on whether the triple dust does count toward hatches or not.
Lucky me caught a 100% level 27 Waillmer about an hour ago. Now I need 200 more candy to evolve it.

I wonder if they increased the odds of 10k for this event, my last couple have been 10's also.

Got to 400 Swablu candy.

Not sure whether to evolve my 71% shiny or a 95% normal one.

Hatched 6 yesterday when I turned my app on, not even time to put a star piece on.

Oops!

After catching a lv 30 100% Swablu, I now have this. lol. Also have 400+ candies too. So, now I need to get 400 more candies to evolve both.

Me and my friend stumbled on a level 34 100% Lilleep today, weather boosts have made 100%'s so much more common.

I've got a full screen of them in my pokemon list now:
