Be careful what you wish for. The reduction of Rare Candy and Gold Berries from raids didn't sit well with a lot of people.

Are some you really okay with the possibility of even less Candy and Berries as rewards? I suppose players doing multiple raids every day will obviously encounter Revive scarcity, but most people have more than enough Revives from raids. Last thing they (and I) want is even more.

Got my first Blissey today! My coworker and I went out Chansey hunting at lunch since they're so rare around here and I managed to get enough for my Blissey. This thing is a beast; can't wait to throw it in a gym.

No, I only do a few raids and need the candy I scrap by with to power up the legendaries I have. Problem is with how few raids I do I only get 1-3 rare candy every 4-5 raids. It's mostly shitty potions and revives mixed in with garbage fast TMs never charge TMs. If you need revives and potions that bad, just buy the max ones on the store, or walk to get more.

My problem is I usually only do legendary raids, which generally knocks out 4-8 of my Pokemon.... and then I get 4 revives, I usually don't break even and I'm really feeling the revive scarcity now. And I'm not about to spend coins on revives.

Never buy from the store lol, it is asking for not getting any from gyms and stops for a while. I had it twice now. Got forced to buy some to revive for a raid on two occassions, and promptly I didn't get diddly squat for days, when normally gyms and stops spam me with them.
Just too much of a coincedence for cynical old me not to see this as deliberate to coax you to buy more.

Go somewhere, and eat or something should be back up soon. It's normally not down longer then 20-30 minutes.

Edit: It's back up.

In desperate times, you can power up a fainted Pokemon and if it gains HP in the process, it'll be considered revived and you can then use potions to heal it the rest of the way.

Yeah, I've had to do that when I'm desperate. I still have a stock pile of max revives, but they're slowly going down. It's so frustrating considering I used to throw revives out by the hundred.

Also, is Houndour not included in Year of the Dog? Seems like an odd exclusion.

Did my second Rayquaza and caught it. 2/2 is great so far.

Didn't get a single Rare Candy from it, so all I really got was 7 Golden Razzes. The 12 Revives were more than enough.

Got a 100% Luvdisc and 88% Shiny Luvdisc. Considering all of the shitty things happening in my life, I'll take it as a token cheering up from TPTB.

Would it be totally crazy to transfer in my 4100cp 100% slaking because im tired of seeing a useless Pokémon at the top of my list? Serious question.

Is there any chance he'll ever get a legit fast attack?

I just did the same thing with my 87% because I was sick of seeing him up there doing nothing.

I have absolutely zero regrets.

What bad luck. Chansey spawns literally 50 metres from work. Constantly looking for GPS drift to get me there, constantly goes a tad too far away, but last seconds it finally does, click Chansey: Error 25, too late.
What are the odds.

Ok, so far I have never seen:

Shroomish
Carvanha
Trapinch
Absol
Bagon
Beldum

In the wild. Guess I again have to rely 100% on eggs for getting the only decent Pokemon Gen 3 has to offer.

Shroomish and Carvanha have nests, so those are no issue whether you see them in the wild or not.

I have not seen even a silhouette of Bagon, Lileep, or Trapinch.

I saw Beldum and Solrock on nearby when the new spawns were increased, but I didn't go after them.

I don't even have a Slaking yet. Not enough Slakoth come up around here to evolve one. Transferring it sounds crazy to me, lol

That's why I'm glad my top Pokemon is Koyrgre. :)

Also:

Shroomish - Pretty uncommon, but surprised you don't even have 1. I've stumbled upon these pretty often enough to evolve one. but, they are indeed uncommon.
Carvanha - Pretty decent water spawn pokemon. You can find those at water points.
Trapinch - Pretty rare
Absol - T4 raid only
Bagon - Pretty rare
Beldum - These are rare, but, at least during the Gen 3 only spawns, they spawn during the day pretty regularly. I would say they spawn during the day period at a rate just less then Ralts during Cloudy weather.

I really lucked out with Beldum by hatching one from my last 3 straight 10k eggs. That plus quite a few wild catches and I'm already about halfway to my second Metagross.

Slaking is definitely not useless. According to Pokebattler, Slaking (w/ Play Rough) is one of the top 10 gym defenders in the game and that is even if the attacker is perfectly dodging all charge moves. With no dodging, Slaking becomes the best defender outside of the Big 3 (Blissey, Chansey, Snorlax). Safe to say, most people either never dodge or occasionally miss dodges, which easily puts Slaking amongst the top 6 gym defenders in the game. There is also the "tall gym" factor you have to account for, which posits that most attackers won't even bother going after tall gyms and Slaking's ultra high CP means whatever you gym you put him in will become tall.

I think there was a lot of backlash against Slaking due to all the hype he received prior to Gen 3 dropping. And then when he didn't measure up, people decided he sucked for some reason. No, he didn't edge out the Big 3, but he's clearly a strong contender to include in gyms alongside those three gym stalwarts.

Beldum is nowhere near that common where I live. Theres usually 1 max within 15 minutes of me at all times.

Shroomish, Carvanha and Trapinch are all heavily biome dependent spawns. Shroomish spawns regularly in grass biomes (I live in a grass biome and I've caught 27 Shroomish and 3 wild Brelooms), Carvanha in water biomes (I work at a water biome and have caught 24 Carvanha and 1 wild Sharpedo) and Trapinch in desert biomes (this is based off of Trainer Tip's videos, where Trapinch regularly pop up on his sightings list and he's caught at least 2 wild Vibrava).

Beldum and Bagon are much rarer and less effected by biomes. Best bet with them is to look for them during weather boosted periods. Snow will boost Beldum and windy will boost both Beldum and Bagon.
