No offense but I don't trust anything The CW has as a "pilot". So many things there get cancelled and one of the only pilots I thought would actually be made by CW (Sabrina the Teenage Witch) was sold off to Netflix.
Why wouldn't you trust it? Each year they order about 6 to 8 pilots and half of them get picked up to series. I don't know how that really differs from anything else.
As for Sabrina, that basically means Warner just didn't sell it to the CW but to someone else.

No, it was in development for a while at The CW as a "companion series" to Riverdale and in the same universe as Riverdale.

Under the new deal, Warner Bros. TV will retain total ownership of the Sabrina series, whereas "Riverdale" is a co-production with CBS TV Studios.
Originally, the show was supposed to be a co-production with CBS TV Studios.

Yes, and Warner which partially owns the CW with CBS sold it to someone else instead of the CW. The CW just understood it couldn't match the two year deal of Netflix.

No. They have The Bachelor in different countries (Japan, China, Finland, New Zealand, Australia, UK, Canada, etc) and in "Winter Games", they have contestants from USA (from past seasons) and contestants worldwide (from international versions of past seasons of The Bachelor/Bachelorette) and they do Olympics stuff like hurdles, ice skating, other competitions.

Their "goal" seems to be creating international relationships while also being an Olympics competing show (example: someone from USA getting married to someone from Japan that doesn't speak English) but it doesn't seem to be working. Show has been a trainwreck so far. Ratings have been decent though.
lol that seems so wacky. I sort of appreciate the idea, since I've always wondered why more international editions don't cross over.
The only other one I can think of is Amazing Race getting the hosts from other versions to appear in the American show.

What in the hell. Oh well, it's The Bachelor.

60minutes monthly story with Oprah, was pretty cool with the roundtable discussion and kind of funny at times. Wish the Oprahs response to her presidential run rumours wasnt...online exclusive.

Tillerson not answering the question if he called the president a moron or not was lol.

It was a while back now, but remember how HBO talked about taking their OTT platform global? I think they just made a move in that direction, I got a notification about my HBO account now working in all regions that they're available in, much like how Netflix operates, i.e. when you're in the US you get the US region offerings, when you're in the Nordics you get the Nordic region offerings but the account is the same for both.

Unfortunately there is no press release for this and their website is down and I missed to screencap it. But it was there for a shining second I swear it.

Also a tonne of BBC remakes were just announced I kind of want to see Korean Luther (much like i kind of want to see Korean The Good Wife (don't worry Ratsky I'll only force you to watch the 156 American episodes)):
'Luther', 'Mistresses' & 'Life On Mars' Getting Korean Remakes
'Criminal Justice' (aka'The Night Of') & 'The Office' To Be Remade In India

At least credit me Den of Geek, jeez.

...This is (mostly) a joke btw (my ego won't allow it to just be a joke), Den of Geek posted it because of this tweet (that I nearly posted yesterday but decided against since it was nothing in it that I already hadn't posted last week):

But hey at least some enthusiast media is starting to keep up with me when it comes to His Dark Materials.

I expect Legends to bounce back next week, with the return of the other Arrowverse shows and iZombie premiering.

I don't think Legends was that much higher recently, anyways. .5? .6 at the most? I think it's decent considering what it was going up against. Or maybe not decent, but certainly expected.

I'm interested to see what their replacement characters are going to be for
Stein and Jackson leaving.
Unless that was determined in last night's episode, which I haven't seen yet.

The other major JJ story I know basically involves the Avengers, which they obviously can't do, so I wonder what this season is going to be about.

Netflix Orders 'Tuca & Bertie' Animated Series Starring Tiffany Haddish From 'Bojack Horseman' Team
Netflix is expanding its animation slate with a 10-episode series order to Tuca & Bertie, from the team behind Bojack Horseman, with Girls Trip star Tiffany Haddish on board to voice the lead character and executive produce.

Created by Bojack Horseman supervising producer Lisa Hanawalt, Tuca & Bertie is a comedy about the friendship between two 30-year-old bird women who live in the same apartment building: Tuca, a cocky, care-free toucan (voiced by Haddish), and Bertie, an anxious, daydreaming songbird.
pls continue with this Netflix. Because sooner or later you'll realise that a Mongrels reboot needs to happen if you continue with animal starring comedies.

'L.A. Confidential': Walton Goggins To Co-Star In CBS Drama Pilot; Anna Fricke Joins As Co-Showrunner
Justified and Vice Principals alum Walton Goggins is set for a lead role in CBS drama pilot L.A. Confidential, based on James Ellroy's noir classic novel, from Arnon Milchan, producer of the acclaimed 1997 L.A. Confidential movie, CBS TV Studios, New Regency and Lionsgate TV. In addition, Anna Fricke (Being Human) has signed on as executive producer and co-showrunner alongside Jordan Harper.

Written by Harper and directed by Michael Dinner, L.A. Confidential follows three homicide detectives, a female reporter and a Hollywood actress whose paths intersect as the detectives pursue a sadistic serial killer among the secrets and lies of gritty, glamorous 1950s Los Angeles.

Goggins will play one of the detectives, Jack Vincennes. All swagger and flash with a movie star smile, Jack knows how the system works and uses it to his best advantage, including some corrupt shakedowns on the side. The role was played by Kevin Spacey in the 1997 movie.

I'll probably check this out. I wish I could set up reminders or something for Netflix to yell me when it's up.

And J feel like I'm noticing Haddish in a lot more things. Hadn't heard of her before Carmichael show but she seems to keep showing up in stuff

http://variety.com/2018/tv/news/waling-dead-lauren-cohan-abc-pilot-whiskey-cavalier-1202705668/

"The Walking Dead" star Lauren Cohan has booked the lead role in the ABC drama pilot "Whiskey Cavalier," Variety has confirmed.

Cohan does not currently have a contract in place to return for "The Walking Dead's" upcoming ninth season and has been in negotiations with AMC for months over her potential return to the zombie apocalypse series. Cohan has been on the AMC show since its second season. Sources say the actress has fielded multiple offers for lead roles this pilot season. If "Whiskey Cavalier" moves forward, it is possible Cohan could return to "The Walking Dead" on a recurring basis in Season 9 or simply leave the show entirely.

Ausiello blind item:

A male series regular on an hour-long streaming series that's about to kick off its second season has made himself available for pilot season, which suggests his character is not long for the world.

Sneaky Pete, Jessica Jones, Patriot, or The Handmaid's Tale?
