I'm really excited about this nifty unnecessary piece of tech. I've got a GTX 1080ti and a launch devKit XBox One, so I've got that portion of the market covered, but I got real lucky with the 3rd of July GameStop Trade-In Bonanza so I dipped on that Scorpio Edition XBO X.

I have no idea how much is actually left on my gift card and I'm not sure if they're charging tax, so I'm curious to see how much I'm actually spending on this thing. I already flipped my XBO S that I've put a hundred hours of Destiny 2 on, so I'm ready for this new neat box.

Not getting an XBOX but I just watch the Digital Foundry comparison for Xbone games on XBOX and wow, those improvements are very nice. Can't fix every games issues but for a lot of them the framerates are a lot more consistent and improved and games with dynamic resolutions reeeeally benefit from the XBOX.

Just super impressive stuff all around. I'll stick with my Xbone though because I only really use it now for Rock Band 4 and Halo and any of the exclusives I want I can also get on PC (at least, right now, who knows if Halo 6 will be on PC). I feel that this thing has been handled better than the PS4 Pro but that might be because the Xbone was weaker than the PS4 and so the gains from the Xbone to XBOX is greater than the PS4 to PS4 Pro.

It was super easy to get up and running with the backup feature.

All my settings with exception of the wallpaper were set. No fiddling with the network and wireless passwords. Just had a password for the gamertag.

Nah. It's better implementation of hardware and software in everyway. MS have become wizards in hardware and we all know the BC has been nothing short of genius. Props are warranted.

dumb question, how do you remove 4k content thats downloaded to a regular xbox one? i had the option set then changed my mind on grabbing the x, now i'd like to remove that wasted space

In some areas alot more stability, other areas just a bit. Depends if it's a gpu or cpu taxing area of the game.

I just enrolled my Xbox One X into the preview program (alpha). It was weird not having an update while a new build was released.

Any Xbox Insider OT on ResetEra btw?

According to german site xboxmedia.de the Middle Earth - Shadows of War patch for X will hit on Nov. 6th at 11am gerrman time. It's supposed to hit 4K/30 fps.

My X shipped from Microsoft today, which I wasn't expecting, so I picked up used copies of Gears 4 and Titanfall 2, since I hadn't gotten around to either yet. Something which I'm feeling was a very smart move ultimately. I watched the HDR footage of the former on Eurogamer. I have a Galaxy S8, so I can see the full effect on that, even though my HDR set is a relatively low end one, but it still makes for a marked improvement on my TV even if I don't get the full benefits. The split screen really helped bring that home, and having that functionality in the title will be helpful to show other people what HDR does.

Titanfall 2, people have been telling me I need to play the campaign on for ages. Having seen the 4K 60 fps footage that's started going online, it sure as hell seemed like the right time to grab it. I'm also going to sign up for Game Pass, so I'll be able to check out Halo 5 also.

Maybe Microsoft don't have a lot of exclusives, or what have you, but if you're taking the opportunity to jump onboard now, there's a lot of great X enhanced games that people may well have not played before. I'm certainly finding as much.

While I wish I had a 4k TV, I moreso wish I could just play Gears 4 (and any other game) in HDR. If there was a good 1080p HDR set that didn't cost too much, I'd be happy. The supersampling is good enough for me.

Just got shipping confirmation. Of my 4K TV. Both it and One X will arrive tuesday. And the wife is on a business trip until thursday. Fun times.

Yeah, I mean, PS4 is levels of magnitude more noisy than original Xbox One. Its near 360 levels. X wont be as silent as S, but will be closer to it than any PS4.
