I know it's weird. Also weird, Noct doesn't look like he's sweating in this section.
To be fair, the Ifrit fight is the very first thing you see when you start the game.
Technically it's not the final boss I guess? I agree that it should be behind spoiler tags, but the Ifrit fight has been spoiled so many times, even by SE themselves, that I don't register it as an actual spoiler anymore.

Starting to think it might be a glitch, similar to how party members don't get dirty, only Noctis. Was looking at a Youtube video of the console version, pretty sure character skins never actually appear this way on PC. Also seems as though only Noctis' hair gets properly wet on PC. Or maybe it's a gameplay/cutscene thing.
I'm glad they added the ability to sail on the Royal Vessel. I don't normally care much for fishing in games, but just sailing on the water and then stopping to relax while fishing is really fun. Lost an hour or so to doing just that, which I definitely did not expect.

There's a quest that lets you see Bismarck, but otherwise, all I've found is fishing. You can't go to Angelgard using it— it's just Cape Caem, Galdin Quay, and Altissia. There are a few photo opportunities for Prompto though.

Jeeeeze... my character is dressed like a Japanese hipster, living in some kind of future world with a quasi 1950's vibe... except he and his buddies run out into a field and start fighting dinosaurs with magic swords that seem to materialize out of thin air... and then when they're done killing dinosaurs someone calls him up on his cell phone.
I mean, seriously, wtf???

I mean, that's typical Final Fantasy... Is this your first game in the franchise?
Also, it's kind of weird that you are surprised by the aesthetics since they have been advertising them for over 10 years....
The lack of acknowledging and exploring the central lore of the FNC was a big failure for the FFXIII trilogy. The whole Fal'cie mythology is very Eastern at its core but because the wonderful video showing the entire backstory (with a wonderful Prelude rendition), was never released, the lore never came together or became accessible. However, tbh Bhunivelvze was mentioned repeatedly in 13 as the 'Maker' and he should have kept that moniker in LR instead of the whole 'God' lingo.

One of my main issues with the XIII trilogy (I liked the first game) was how quickly it turns around on its premise of "fuck the gods, mortals will make their own way", with Lightning defying the deities of her world, for humans to be free from their influence... And then she goes "Oh, Etro, I'm your knight and bringer of salvation. I will fulfill your will and guide the souls to the next world". And then she goes on to become a "goddess" herself in place of Etro.... That really undermines the message they were trying to tell in the first game. The narrative in the sequels was so disjointed that it's clear they didn't have a plan and just made stuff up as they went. The ending of the original game was cool and should've left like it was. When they pull the retcon of that ending in XIII-2 I was like "..... Seriously...? They are going to pull THIS off....?"
I don't use anyone's default clothing. Noct looks a lot better with no jacket I think.
Prompto and Ignis casual jacketless. Gladio shirtless of course.
I'd have it appear while Noctis is in the Crystal and Bahamut is explaining who "the Usurper" is.
I just don't think it makes sense to cut away from the action for large periods of time to make you play as other people. It interrupts the game flow massively and you don't carry any progress from the episodes into the main game so it just ends up feeling like a diversion. A narratively satisfying diversion? Entirely possible. But a diversion nonetheless.
So is naming your Chocobo on PC bugged or what? The keys don't work (expect backspace for some reason), and there's no way for me to get letters with the controller either.
My game's being buggy and hunt monsters aren't showing up. Pls tell me this doesn't mean my file is corrupt or something and I could just close the application and restart D:

You sound incredibly bad at parsing intention, and like you're projecting some sort of weird misguided anger onto these characters.
None of those lines are read "sarcastically" or even really without the weight their context requires.
Kind of sounds like you just want all the characters to sound "sad" all the time because that's your idea of "mature?"

The AI in this game is great. For some people he'll take a lot of pictures of Gladio and his butt, lol. For others he just keeps on taking selfies and ignores the rest of the cast. He's pretty obsessed with Noct in my game. I think there's some kind of logic to it. At times you get the option to choose what kind of pictures you'd like to see more of.
I really wish there was an outfit for him without the hair gel.
I didn't have any issues naming mine in the Steam version.
Disappointing but expected. Would've liked some small islands to explore or something. Nothing major or anything but it would've been something. Oh well, no big deal.

Nah, there's nothing weird about that whatsoever. Sorry, but this is one of the weirdest games I have ever played.
I get the feeling the boat is one of two things: it's either there as a sign of future DLC additions, OR it's there to give PC modders something to do with that ocean. Most likely the former, but possibly the latter.

They changed his costume? When I completed the DLC, the outfit I received was pretty much identical to his jacket-less default. :|
The outfit itself is almost identical. But his hair is disheleved and not spiky like normal.

Decided to finally see why "Credits" was gold since installing the Royal Pack and saw there was a new set of credits.
It was great having the DLC voice actors listed alongside the rest, and for DLC images to be used.

I'm sure we'll be able to use the older character models throughout the entire game with mods. Should be easy to do.
Been trying and failing to make the game not fun.
- Walked around aimlessly, was amazed by the graphical beauty of the game.
- Fought some random monsters, loved the animations and battle system. I'll probably lose my mind once I unlock the character switch perk.
- Tried doing some story stuff (surely these must be boring, because everyone is whining about them), couldn't help but admire the way each and every character is relevant and relatable (Cid-Regis stuff with that photo on the table is a good example of this), and I hear it gets even better and more focused in the second half. WTF?
Please show me a way to hate this game, because not being able to play it all day is torture.

I really wish we could access Kingsglaive, Brotherhood, and A King's Tale from the main menu. Would really help sell this as the "complete edition" (obviously without the second season pass content).

Same feeling here. Of course there are some small issues, but overall the game is great. Although I am still in Chapter 3, I like it a lot.
