How is that remotely similar to posting footage of the final boss? :/
I know it's weird. Also weird, Noct doesn't look like he's sweating in this section. Those wet skin maps look great. Kinda confused as to why they don't look that good whenever there's rain during normal gameplay.

Starting to think it might be a glitch, similar to how party members don't get dirty, only Noctis. Was looking at a Youtube video of the console version, pretty sure character skins never actually appear this way on PC. Also seems as though only Noctis' hair gets properly wet on PC. Or maybe it's a gameplay/cutscene thing.I know it's weird. Also weird, Noct doesn't look like he's sweating in this section.
XIV's lore is all over the place and a mess, but that's a discussion for another day on a different thread.
More or less.
This is a weird ass game.
I'm at the very start, and... Jeeeeze... my character is dressed like a Japanese hipster, living in some kind of future world with a quasi 1950's vibe... except he and his buddies run out into a field and start fighting dinosaurs with magic swords that seem to materialize out of thin air... and then when they're done killing dinosaurs someone calls him up on his cell phone.
I mean, seriously, wtf???
Yeah, also the Fal'Cie don't even make sense, like why did Bhunivelze kill his mother Mwynn and why did he create Etro in her image accidentally and give her no powers, and how did Etro kill herself and then gain powers from Mwynn who was dead, and why did Bhunivelze make Fal'Cie to find the unseen realm, if Bhunivelze can't see or find it why would something he created be able to? Nothing about the lore in FNC is even properly explained or given any reason for why things happened, hell I don't think Bhunivelze or Etro are even mentioned by name in FF13 either despite being key figures in the lore. That's why I prefer the Cosmogony to FNC and am glad they threw the FNC into the trash out of XV, Cosmogony feels much more straight forward and like you said, very Greek.
The lack of acknowledging and exploring the central lore of the FNC was a big failure for the FFXIII trilogy. The whole Fal'cie mythology is very Eastern at its core but aside from the wonderful video (never released of course), it has failed to grow. However, tbf Bhunivelvz was mentioned repeatedly in 13 as the 'Maker' and he should have kept that moniker in LR instead of the whole 'God' lingo.
I find the game more fun if you change Prompto and Gladio into their alternate costumes. They look so much better. Even Ignis looks snazzy in his alternate costume without the jacket.
I don't think Episode Ardyn makes sense as being integrated into the main story. He basically needs to be standalone.
I'd have it appear while Noctis is in the Crystal and Bahamut is explaining who "the Usurper" is.
Here's some quotes from Ifrit fight(one of the most ''serious''moments in the game)to prove my point :
"Stay Cool. He's gonna bring the heat!"
"Out of the frying pan, dot, dot, dot"
"We need to put this thing out"
"So even that wasn't enough" Referring sarcastically to Bahamut's assist
"Going out in a blaze!"
After Shiva speaks to Noctis
"What did she say?"
Completely sarcastic tone meant to make fun of the fact that Shiva spoke in an in game tongue.
The delivery of all these lines is non-chalant and sarcastic all the way through ,and all the characters talk like this not just Prompto.
The only time where the game manages to sustain any immersion is in the train sequence imo.
Pretty funny how Prompto just goes for a selfie with Cindy after hoping our party will get her approval for getting car parts.
I didn't have any issues naming mine in the Steam version. So is naming your Chocobo on PC bugged or what? The keys don't work (expect backspace for some reason), and there's no way for me to get letters with the controller either.
More or less.
There's a quest that lets you see Bismarck, but otherwise, all I've found is fishing. You can't go to Angelgard using it— it's just Cape Caem, Galdin Quay, and Altissia. There are a few photo opportunities for Prompto though.
I mean, that's typical Final Fantasy... Is this your first game in the franchise?
Yes, I've never played a Final Fantasy game before...
...so of course it came as a surprise to me that my character, dressed like a Japanese gang member, living in what appears to be a highly advanced society that models itself on an Elvis Presly movie from the 1950's, would march out onto a field, whip out his magic sword, and engage in combat with what basically amount to dinosaurs... and then have a conversation on his cell phone afterwards.
Nah, there's nothing weird about that whatsoever. Sorry, but this is one of the weirdest games I have ever played.
Disappointing but expected. Would've liked some small islands to explore or something. Nothing major or anything but it would've been something. Oh well, no big deal.
Is English not your first language?
You sound incredibly bad at parsing intention, and like you're projecting some sort of weird misguided anger onto these characters.
None of those lines are read "sarcastically" or even really without the weight their context requires.
Kind of sounds like you just want all the characters to sound "sad" all the time because that's your idea of "mature?"
Would be awesome if we could eventually use it to sail to Niflheim.I get the feeling the boat is one of two things: it's either there as a sign of future DLC additions, OR it's there to give PC modders something to do with that ocean. Most likely the former, but possibly the latter.
Get his Episode Ignis outfit. His hair gets all disheveled.I really wish there was an outfit for him without the hair gel.
They changed his costume? When I completed the DLC, the outfit I received was pretty much identical to his jacket-less default. :|

Hopefully someone makes that hairstyle a mod for the main game in the PC version. I love how he looks with that style.Oh, lame. I thought he was talking about thisStill wished they gave us this for Ignis instead.
The outfit itself is almost identical. But his hair is disheleved and not spiky like normal.

Same feeling here. Of course there are some small issues, but overall the game is great. Although I am still in Chapter 3, I like it a lot.Been trying and failing to make the game not fun.
- Walked around aimlessly, was amazed by the graphical beauty of the game.
- Fought some random monsters, loved the animations and battle system. I'll probably lose my mind once I unlock the character switch perk.
- Tried doing some story stuff (surely these must be boring, because everyone is whining about them), couldn't help but admire the way each and every character is relevant and relatable (Cid-Regis stuff with that photo on the table is a good example of this), and I hear it gets even better and more focused in the second half. WTF?
Please show me a way to hate this game, because not being able to play it all day is torture.
