Finally arrived. I can't believe all of my old game saves (even Mario World) are still intact after all this time. I kind of wish they had a date stamp so I knew how long it's been. It's definitely a bittersweet feeling.
Anyway, I have the most recent firmware installed and was wondering if there was some trick to enabling 720p. The only thing I can select it's 1080p/60, which is fine I guess, but I wanted to see if the slight blur of 720p made the graphics look more authentic.
Just successfully copied my saves from SNES Classic to Super Nt. I assume it would work in both directions though only tried one way. Pretty painless overall if you already have the classic hacked. I can throw together a guide if it will help anyone out. I'll probably pack my classic up at this point, I can't see ever using it again unless I get a hankering to check out Star Fox 2 again.

I've seen some repros on Etsy. Are there any Chinese dudes, that have put the Snes classic Starfox 2 Rom, onto a cart yet?
I see some on eBay, but not sure if there are based on the finished article.

Someone posted an image of their repro copy on the Analogue community discord. They got it with a spiffy translucent purple outer shell. I'd ask around on there. Given what's for sale on their website it's pretty obvious they aren't licensing the games. So I'm not going to link here on ERA.
Still debating which RPG I should play through on my super Nt after I finish my Leon A run on RE2.
It sounds like I should leave Chrono Trigger for the DS but the idea of playing it on my oled on the NT has me very tempted. Otherwise I'm thinking:
FF6, Secret of Mana, Earthbound or Super Mario RPG.
I've finished Super Mario RPG as a kid ages ago. I've gotten about 25% in FF6 and Chrono Trigger years ago and never played secret of mana or earthbound.
These are the decisions I love to think about :)
I'll put in my two cents and recommend Breath of Fire 2 if it's an option. It's kind of a run of the mill JRPG but it knows that and does it very well in my opinion. The sprite work is really good from what I remember and I enjoyed the story.Still debating which RPG I should play through on my super Nt after I finish my Leon A run on RE2.

Play the SNES version with the Bugfix and Uncensoring patch. I think the Woolsey translation is more "fun" than the DS one and that patch fixes small things wrong with it. And the DS extra content is pretty lame.It sounds like I should leave Chrono Trigger for the DS but the idea of playing it on my oled on the NT has me very tempted.

FF6, great game that still holds up to this day.Still debating which RPG I should play through on my super Nt after I finish my Leon A run on RE2.

Mario kart shipped from japan. Estimated arrival? May 20th lol.
Jailbreaking this was the easiest thing ever. Wow. Took all of 5 minutes, including downloading the file. Every rom has been fine so far, though the save thing is veeeery odd as has been said earlier in the thread. I think it makes it worse that Y is the accept button. Makes me muck up a lot.
After a month of back and forth with Analogue about my sound glitches they are finally shipping me out a new PCB for replacement. I think they are sending it by UPS pack mule train as tracking says it's not even scheduled to arrive for 7 business days. There's certainly nothing quick about this company.
Not true at all. They charged my credit card *very* quickly— months before they shipped the product.

Would it (is it) be possible to play my copy of Gun Hazard in English translated solely from an SD card? What I mean is I put the cart in the Super NT but the translation is on the SD card. It would be a cool setup to have a library of translations on a card and just pop in my super famicom carts whenever.
I know there is much more practical ways of doing this, I was just curious.
Here is a quick and dirty guide to transferring your saves from SNES classic to Super Nt jailbreak. I'll tighten it up and/or flesh it out for the new thread, just something to get it going. I'll probably expand this to include copying the games over as well so people can completely transfer their library over (with some exceptions, keep in mind enhancement chips are not currently supported in the jailbreak)
Friendly reminder that the Super Nt jailbreak does not support save states in any capacity so this is strictly for save files such as your saves in Zelda, Final Fantasy, etc..
You'll need to be able to FTP into the SNES Classic. If you haven't done this I'm sure the fine folks over in the SNES Classic Hacking thread will have plenty of advice. Explaining FTP clients and the likes is a bit out of the scope of this little guide.
All of your save files are located atCode:/var/lib/clover/profiles/0/
Each game will have a folder named after its ID. Stuff like CLV-P-SAAAE, CLV-P-SAABE, etc.. copy all of these folders over somewhere convenient on your computer.
Now that you have them backed up you can disconnect the SNES classic, we won't be needing it for the rest of the guide.
You can find each game's ID if you click on it in hakchi.
I pulled all the IDs for the original games with save files out for convenience. If you added any games to the SNES classic I believe the process should be the same, but I have only looked at the built in games so far.
Code:Donkey Kong Country CLV-P-SAALE EarthBound CLV-P-SAAJE Final Fantasy III CLV-P-SABTE F-Zero CLV-P-SAABE Kirby Super Star CLV-P-SAAQE Kirby's Dream Course CLV-P-SAAKE Legend of Zelda: LttP CLV-P-SAAEE Secret of Mana CLV-P-SABRE Star Fox 2 CLV-P-SADKE Super Mario Kart CLV-P-SAAFE Super Mario RPG CLV-P-SABQE Super Mario World CLV-P-SAAAE Super Metroid CLV-P-SAAHE Super Punch-Out!! CLV-P-SAAXE Yoshi's Island CLV-P-SADJE
Go into the folder for the game you want, I'll use EarthBound as an example. EarthBound's save data will be in the CLV-P-SAAJE folder. If you go into that folder you will find a cartridge.sram file. This is the actual save file. You may notice a .hash file as well, you can ignore it, we only care about the sram file.
You'll need to copy this file over to the SD card you use for the Super Nt. SNT stores save files at: \SAVES\SNES\ (if you have not saved anything yet on the SNT you may need to create these folders manually)
Simply copying cartridge.sram over to the right spot on your SD card isn't enough as the SNT has no idea what game that save is for so we need to rename it to match identically to the rom's name. Also, SNT does not use .sram for its saves it uses .sav so the extension will also need to be changed. The end result will look something like this.
cartridge.sram
rename ==>EarthBound (USA).sav
If the save file does not match the rom name identically, and does not have a .sav extension, or is not located in the correct folder, the SNT will not be able to find it, so double check it matches up.
Throw the SD card into your SNT and check and make sure it loads up the save fine. If not let me know and we'll figure it out.
A good little tip to keep in mind is you can go copy these save files off your SD card at any time to create a backup. Especially in these early days when corruption could still possibly occur it can be nice to have a backup somewhere. You can also take them and load them up in pretty much any emulator (might need some renaming to get them to load in whichever emu, just do some googling) so getting familiar with them can be incredibly useful.
You're talking dumping the SRAM out of a cart with something like a retrode? Yeah, once you have the save file it should be basically the same process. The Nt Mini jailbreak got a cart dump feature so there is a chance we'll see that added here as well. Thanks buddy for this. Is it as simple to backup cart saves to the SD card or the SNES classic? I want to preserve my saves before i do a battery swap :D

So I played all night with a buddy last night. Lots of fun playing Tetris Battle Gaiden and Bart's Nightmare.
Odd thing though. Once during Bart's nightmare it got all fucked up with artifacts and stuff. Once I loaded into a new area it went away. And it hardlocked once too. Maybe it was because it's a rom or something? Spooking me out as I really don't want this thing to be a dud.
Anyone have an issue with Down + Select sometimes failing to work? I've had it happen a few times, but it seems to happen mostly if I play through several ROMs in one sitting.

eBay lots are gonna be the death of me. I've got something like...20 Super Famicom games on the way. I think the only special chip games (that I want to play, anyway) that are gonna be out of reach will by Kirby 3 and Super Mario RPG. Oh well.
I'm also kinda amazed that nobody has bothered to make repro multitaps? I guess most clone consoles have four ports, but it seems like getting one for less than $40 is a tough find.
Actually working on that for later today. ;)Anybody got a compilation of everybody's settings for different resolutions?
I haven't had any issues with the pop up menu, but I also haven't used the custom firmware.
Sorry ;) I only went through 4 different iterations of making an OT cuz 1. I've never made one before, 2. it was not easy at all, despite my best efforts, and 3. I'm more of an idea guy, I guess.

The word you're looking for is wish. I didn't read the entire OT but look into proof reading it to see if there are more errors. The Super NT has a "jailbreak" solution for those of us who which to load ROMs via SD card.
In my haste, I input an unfortunate typo however, you kindly pointed it out. Much obliged. ;)The word you're looking for is wish. I didn't read the entire OT but look into proof reading it to see if there are more errors.
