You can capture on any quest, such as optional or investigation. Not sure about expedition, but I don't see why it wouldn't work. For my situation, I had 3 blue completed levels and when I checked the ecologist I noticed I hadn't captured radobaan yet. I captured his tempered version and it unlocked the special arena optional quest for everything lower.
I think affinity is the way to go, though I've seen a lot use health regen. Why use pandemonium instead of diablos or nerg? I know it has style points, so I'm going to make it, just wondering if there's anything special I should focus on for that hammer.
Honestly I just like the look. I have diablos too and use it quite often as well.
If you hit start it should bring up a page showing what your current attack and affinity are
I fit stun 3 on almost all my builds, it's so good in this game...at least for people who get slapped around a bit like me.
To be quite honest, I'd rather do them solo. I don't necessarily trust other players, especially when it comes to capture quests.
I think I've looted it from Paolumu as well and you can get it from Tailraider Safaris, though the latter is uncommon as far as I know.
I've noticed it happens a lot with tempered monster quests. Instead of hitting the monster who knows how many more times and running the risk of carts, capping is a much safer and easier win. That being said, it probably wouldn't hurt to do them with others more often.
Yeah, you have to get it from those monsters. Tailraider safaris are pretty good for it though if you have odogaron on them.
That quest unlocks after you hunt five (?) tempered elder dragons, right? Haven't hunted any yet, but I do have a tempered Vaal Hazak investigation so that seems like a good starting point.
