man i am loving this game so muhc i am pushing it all so it doesnt end...level 55 at chapter 6l...just doing everything i can to squeeze it all out.

Cool to hear! Couple of questions. First time playing it? Did you end up downloading the game again? Were you able to replace the radio's music with filthy gaijin tunes?
Picking up loot in this game is so horrible. Why did they kept it as is ? I love hearing a sound notification 10 seconds after I picked the item because they are queued
Disappointed in the motion blur implementation, coming out of games like The Evil Within 2 moving your camera around simply isn't as satisfying.

first time playing it fully yes, i plyed a few hours of the ps4 version but could not stand playing it on a tv lol from far away. waited for pc version, totally worth it. i ended up downlaoding the hd texture pack again but i realized it did that cause i got into my other steam account to smurf on dota and apparently the family sharing issue with the textures got fixed so it downloaded them again for that account apparently, at least thats my understanding.
i havent tried the music thing yet, its just too much rocket science for something so basic, so ill wait for official mod support for that.
game is great and graphic are great too.
Just a warning but don't go into Steyliff without plenty of curative items.
Thanks, will make sure to stock up. Were these quests in the original game before the royal edition update? This may be the most post-game content in a single player RPG I've ever seen lol
Yeah I'm playing through the pc version like it is a mmo. Having a great time.
Though I will tell you there are a few quests you can't do until after you finish the game.

Just upgraded to Engine Blade 3 and it's pretty strong, but I do a lot of warp-striking and was wondering how it compares to Ragnarok in that regard. Anyone know which one's the better pick?
Huh. I started over to do a Lv 1 playthrough and I have the Ultima Blade before even going to Lestallum. I recall before I had to get the Sturdy Helixhorn from the Duplicorn hunt later on, but I managed to drop several in the Spiracorn hunt from the Alstor station.

I know, I love it. The red warping effects are hella cool. Just got the Ultima blade so I'll probably switch to that but I'm gonna miss those red warps.
Ragnarok is a great weapon for grinding and with limit break it melts enemies. The warp sound gets annoying though!

Just took down the lv 120 super boss while I was at level 74 solo
I probably won't do all of the menace quests if some of the later ones are multiple hours each... maybe it's time to take a break and do some chocobo racing.

Just kept him poisoned and then kept doing the lv 3 armiger unleashed attack, otherwise was blocking with the ring of lucis equiped and building the tech meter. All my team members died at the beginning of the fight but I revived them all right before he died so that everyone got exp.

Finished Gladio's dlc,it was really nice..short but fun.
It felt a little like nioh in some way and adding a few story bits about Cor's background is always welcome.
The soundtrack was great and the enviroments are beaufiful,even if it's too basic in its design.
I'll do Prompto's tomorrow,i've read that it's longer than this one.

Holy shit. The Altissia boss fight had some horrible geometry in the area.
The whole sequence reminded me of a bad JRPG from the PS2 era.
What happened there. Everything looked so ugly and rushed. Even the Leviathan looked low res and low poly :(
But lol I basically finished that chapter and decided to come back the open world and do dungeons and shit. Having way too much fun with the open world and sidequests more than the main quest. Level 50 already!

Is it worth keeping the upgradable weapons after you've gotten better stuff? Like the Drain Lance, not seeing much point in keeping it after getting the Dragoon Lance.
You can give drain lance to Ignis as a secondary weapon.

So after dealing with three game crashes last night when trying to stream, I decided to fire the game up today to accomplish what I had started to do last night before the final crash of the night:
I didn't know about it until last night when I happened to see mention of it looking up something else. Anyway, I finally got there. Killed the creature and... nothing. No drop at all.
Then I look it up. Apparently the drop is either bugged or just incredibly damn RNG based now. It used to be a guaranteed drop but not so for those on the PC and those with the Royal Edition. I even saved and reloaded the game because someone said that worked for them. Nope, nothing.
And after the frustrations of the past day now, I really don't want to go through the steps of spawning it again (if I even can).

Mannn, I wish he was going to be in SC6 instead. I play Soul games but not Tekken and he'd make much more sense there anyway given his whole thing is "questing to claim the royal weapons" (though I'm sure that was gone over a million times when he was announced)
I knew the ring of lucis was overpowered but I just used it to kill the lv 99 adamantoise / giant turtle lol. I took off 1/8 of it's health using my regular weapons and then I was like "this is going to take a while, let me try this ring". I knew beforehand that it was going to be a length fight so I brought 50 ethers with me. I started using the ring and it was rapidly taking off 3k damage per hit and then once his health got to about halfway the ring insta-killed him lol. Prompto took some great shots too.

You have to go there and park once, then it should become fast travel.
That's what I thought too but after like 12 hours I went back to the Quays and I had to do the whole trip back to Hammerhead... No way it's the first time I've done that trip.
There's a fast-forward icon if you can fast travel. Problem is that quest fast travel can be hit and miss. Parking spots can all be fast-travelled to if you've already visited them.
I think traveling there for a quest may be weird about it. There are some odd inconsistencies
Could this be because I have both the Costelmark Tower quest and the Dino CT quest? Every other area in the game is fine and that's about the only thing that's changed...

Honestly is it just me or did they make combat at least a little more fluid? I dunno, the combat's just a lot of fun, problems and all.
Seems the same as it's always been. Though I'm a bit biased - item spam aside I love it
