Ugh, can't believe I still haven't pulled the trigger on this. I just need proper frame rate testing to confirm the X is a solid 30 with proper frame pacing. Come on DF, I'm dying to get that digital gold edition.

Just found this. Seems very promising. Glad the stuttering of FC4 seems to be gone.
Was leaning towards a day 1 purchase, and that benchmarking tool is kinda selling me on the game even more lol. Such soothing tunes amid the beautiful chaos!
Also thinking I'm gonna roll with PC, thinking/hoping I can maintain a solid 60fps with a 1080 and an I5 6600k @ 1440p. If not I'll just refund it and go with whichever console runs it better.
why should it unlock like this and not at 00:00 of the timezone where you made the purchase on?
have they declared anything different for this game/release?
Oh nice. If a 980ti can do over 60fps on ultra, I'm sure my 970 can do it at low to medium settings at 1440p.
Interesting note is that ultra settings only uses 2800mb of memory. No 6gb card needed for max settings.
Just preordered on the Uplay store, fuck it. Wasn't hyped at all until this week. One question though: will I be able to change text and dialogue language separately?
Xbox One X download was 37+ GB, I'm not sure if it is different for the Xbox One S or if there will be another update today/tomorrow before it launches. The Gold Edition also comes with like 8-10 extras which were like 10 MB per.
Although they aren't within the last year, I think both The Division and Watch Dogs 2 were another pair of recent-ish cracking games. Ubisoft gets a lot of flak but when they are good, they are very good.

I don't understand the logic, with those specs it's gonna run smoother than any of the two consoles.

Great news. Any word on AMD enhancements. I have a GTX1080 so wonder if we will get any extra features or effects?
Someone here finished the main story in 16 hours but didn't complete all the side quests. I've heard up to and around 30+ plus hours depending on play style.
If you are this anal about it why on earth dont you have a PC? You cant afford to be a console gamer and fuss over a few dropped frames, you will never play anything. Just buy it man...

Managed to play a couple hours today. This is my first Far Cry game (but i've played plenty of Ubisoft Openworld titles, and they're all comparable tbh...) but I can say to Anyone who has even the slightest interest in far cry 5, id recommend it. Best thing I can say about the game so far is that Exploration for the first time in a while with an Ubi game (for me) is really encouraged and rewarded. Gone are radio towers etc to show key locations, you explore and when you get close to an area of interest (location, stash, hostages etc) you'll see it appear on your compass. Other locations you'll hear about from people you rescue, clippings, radio chatter etc, and once you've heard it, it'll show up on your map as a location. I'll be honest, the game so far has reminded me of the newest Zelda. An open world with only a few locations shown on your map, the rest is for your to discover. You're dropped in an environment, and just told to get on with it!

Expecting proper frame pacing isn't being anal. It's also not absurd to expect a solid 30fps.
The trophies for this game annoy me though. For a game that is advertising a lot of co-op, all of the story related trophies (12 of them) can ONLY be gotten in the Solo Campaign, meaning if you play co-op, you'll have to play through the game a second time by yourself to get the platinum.

HYPED. I'm getting that ole' Pre-Tuesday release euphoric anticipation feeling about this one.
Sorry if this has been asked and answered but if I wait until release and buy the Gold Editon, will it still come with Far Cry 3: Classic Edition or is that a Pre-Order bonus? I'm hoping to use my 20% off coupon.

So if i bought this on the Hong Kong Marketplace for Xbox it would unlock a whole 7 hrs early than UK release?
so i got the game from the Samsung SSD promotion, it's in my game library on UPlay but I'm not able to pre-load. anyone know why this is?
I got the Gold edition from GMG and I was able to instantly redeem through UPlay and preload.
I've actually been hearing a few people comparing some aspects of this to BotW. That sounds great. This would be the first major title to take some inspiration from it, then. Would be fitting, considering all that Zelda borrowed from Far Cry.
