Welp, used up all my data for this month. Wasn't planning to play much this weekend but it still sucks
Even 1 PM is a little late to me. Blizzard is on the west coast too, but they release all their stuff at 9 or 10 AM PST. You'd think they'd want to launch this stuff as early in the day as possible; in case of any problems, they would have all day to address them as opposed to just a few hours.
hey man, they gotta go to lunch first and then come back and press the button
Was wondering the same thing. Why not give people the whole day to try out new things instead of later in the day or even in the middle of the night for people not in the US? Especially when they release new legendary raids. Why does Niantic always wait until so late in the day to release new features? And usually on a Friday too.
You will have full day tomorrow :P
Actually, kinda glad it';s later, as can't do anything now since at work. lol
So from what I'm reading Mew has a 100% catch rate like shiny Lugia, can't be placed in gyms, you can only have one of them, and you can't transfer it.
Yeah, it's strange but sort of makes sense that you can only have one mythical Pokemon. Maybe a way around it is some sort of prompt in the catch screen that lets you gamble your current one for the chance at a better one. That's all fine except if there's still IV differentiation which we have no reason to believe there won't be, and you get screwed with a bad IV one with no chance at another. With all the others, even Mewtwo, you've always got a shot at catching a better one.

Imagine you already have a standard Mew and then encounter a shiny one later but can't catch it. There has to be some sort of workaround.
If they're smart they will all be the same, with 100% catch rate regardless.
Being Niantic, itll be a 5% catch rate with all bonuses with IVs ranging from 50 to 100. And only one shot at it.
I've got some harsh Field objectives!
Catch 3 Swablu
Catch 3 Mudkip or Treeko
Evolve 5 Fire Pokémon
Could easily do the third but want to do it as I encounter them!
No. Same objective from the same stop. At least for a specific period of time. I think field researches are unlimited anyway.

Did my weather boosted quest. Reward was Pokémon appears.
Was an 89% Ninetails only 909cp but was quite cool. Gonna really like doing these
Yeah, just read on SilphRoad that someone has already caught Mew. Not a 100% catch rate he says.
Where on Silph Road? Not seeing it.
Also, yes evolving a Magikarp. Not suppose to be that easy. That would make it feel cheap. Lol
Oh I'm so glad I am working towards one right now
Mewtwo is still an EX Raid exclusive. Hit up those gyms in parks once a week.I hadn't heard ANYTHING about Mewtwo though, even ingame. Is there a trick to finding them? I still don't have an Articuno either, so I hope they bring those back some day.
I don't have much time to raid at all, and at least one of the local groups is super drama-filled, deleting people from coordination groups without warning and so forth. :(Mewtwo is still an EX Raid exclusive. Hit up those gyms in parks once a week.
It matters because EX Raids are an invite only event and Niantic has outright said it's parks only. It took a while but the process is pretty well understood now; raid a park gym and you have a chance at an invite. Raid more parks for more chances. I do about 10 a week and it's working out pretty well. Why would parks matter versus other gyms? I have a 200+ victory gym badge, but I've only won 26 raids because it's almost impossible to get the time and coordination involved.
Find out which parks in your area have handed over EX passes before, some have been repeats a few times by now, focus on raiding on those parks if possible, even tier 1 or 2 raids. Eventually you'll get a pass this way, I'm on my 9th pass now despite not getting any last year.I don't have much time to raid at all, and at least one of the local groups is super drama-filled, deleting people from coordination groups without warning and so forth. :(

Thanks for the information.
