This was not an announcment stream. Not sure what you sate going at..
Last year when I got my Pro I went thru all kinds of weird stuff after transferring my games from my old console, including various network errors. After trying several times I downloaded from scratch and everything went OK.
I know you said you did a full reset, but did you transfer stuff from a previous system afterwards?
Wow, what a dead launch it was here. There was maybe four people ahead of me. The place was empty. There were more employees than people getting the system. To put it in perspective, there was over three hundred people for the Switch launch. There were more people picking up the Battlefront version of the PS4 when Star Wars Battlefront launched. It was shockingly dead tonight.
Best Buy I was at was packed. They had 7 extra and were sold out an hour before midnight so I came home with nothing. I'll try again tomorrow. Probably shouldn't have cancelled that preorder so quickly...
My gamestop was pretty dead too. I dont even know what games are out tomorrow, but there were more people picking up games than there were for the X. Maybe 12-15 people for the X total
Jealous of all you people picking up console at the launches. Have mine reserved at GS but gotta work early tomorrow. :(
Welp ...just moved all my games to my 4tb external, backed up my settings and factory reset my OG fatty xb1. Cleaned, dusted, and ready to trade in for my X tomorrow after work.

Got my Scorpio, 5 pickups at my north Bay Gamestop. Really dig everything about the console. It's wayyyyyy smaller than i imagined.
One of the pickups was for a 9-10 year old kid, he was with his dad. Everyone decided to let this young man be the first to get the 1X. He said he was upgrading form a X360. His expression though -- pure happiness and excitement, bursting beyond his deserved grin -- as the GS employee handed him the console. Totally my feel good moment for the week. Oh to be young!

Just got back from GS midnight launch and I was so surprised there was a line of about 30 people there. Was only expecting a few.

Launch party in NYC was a ton of fun, people in line were great. Got mine coming via Amazon but got some free swag out of it and got to see Shaq haha
Oh and a free year of game pass which is sweet! (answered a trivia question)
We are having crappy weather where I live in KY. Still had about 15 people show. Just a good time. Loving the vibe.
We out here ERA!!! I hope everyone enjoys their new crispy consoles. My Scorpio looks so good in person. The cardboard for the small stand was a little extra imo lol. Time to spam the download button and head to bed. We finally made it!!
Just picked it up. Shout out to my boys for holding one of the extra Scorpios for me so I could get rewards points and get it tonight.
First thoughts:
1) What an incredibly well designed machine. The stand made an auditory click to let you know it was locked in place, the ports have a slight click when the cables are inserted, and the buttons on the system are very clicky, just like I like. Overall, a very excellent system, and not clunky at all. Probably the first time I've said that about a Microsoft gaming system (sorry 360 slim, but I always found you a bit clunky.)
2) The packaging was excellent. The layout, the design. Just great.
3) I know it needs an update, but I really wish it would let me finish setting up the system while it downloads.
Can't wait to test out some games!

About five at mine, but I chalk that up to the weather. Miserable storms rolling through.
If you go into settings there's an option under updates somewhere to auto download 4k content. Though I had like 10 patches earlier waiting for me to manually update them, no idea.

Anyone else with Amazon UK still telling them their order is "dispatching now"? My order status has been like that now for 24 hours.

The store I go to had 18 scorpio's pre-ordered and 31 regulars so maybe the store I go to was higher than normal lol

Home and downloading updates, this will likely take a while and kill my cap.

Over 50 people at my Gamestop and a few more coming in as we left. It was actually pretty well organized and we were in and out quickly. They made 2 lines, one for Scorpio Editions and one for the standard. Scorpio line was a bit longer. Overall, a lot of excitement. For a mid-gen system and costing $500.00 it was a damn good turnout.
