You are of course aware that games in domed/roofed stadiums can also be easily cancelled due to bad weather, are you not?

For instance, if there is two feet of snow outside Miller Park, do you think they'll still ask fans to come out in that weather to see a game, even if the inside is heated?
Yea cause it snows so often in the middle of July.

The point still stands, games are getting called, postponed, moved, all the time because of rain or lightning.

Jays are over .500!

This is why IMO, that all baseball stadiums should have retractable roofs like the Diamondbacks, the Blue Jays, the Mariners, the Brewers, the Astros, the Marlins & the Rays have.

Bad weather constantly screws up their games & their scheduling, just like with Pirates against the Tigers for at least two days.

No thanks. The only thing they could really do is schedule the first week or so of games in domes and warmer climates.

You're talking, on the outside, three games for a team postponed of 162.

It's an overreaction to have everyone build domed stadiums.

Um, that's basically supporting my statement.

It happens constantly each year, though.

By having retractable roofs, the games can always be played without screwing up schedules, etc. & the teams don't have to worry about making up any games the next day or two (like both the Pirates & the Tigers had to, due to Comerica Park being closed for bad weather on opening day & on the day after game one).

If the weather is bad (being rain &/or thunder), they can easily close the roof of the stadium & the games will still continue (except if snow happens) in a specific area. If the weather is good, they keep the roofs open.

When stadiums have retractable roofs, they too often err on the side of having the roof closed. If it was only truly ever closed in inclement weather, I'd maybe be open to the idea, but that wouldn't be the case. Half (or more) of your games will end up inside. That's not baseball to me.

What are you going on about? You said ALL stadiums should have roofs, I said no thanks. So how the hell is that supporting your statement.

AJ Hinch says they'll err on the side of caution and put Yuli Gurriel on the DL after his suspension is over tomorrow.

Three games a year for each team at the cost of 300-400 million more on top of stadium costs (at the time of build - new stadiums cost upwards of 1.25 billion with roofs) all so you aren't inconvenienced on an average of three days a year.

That's some good weed.

I'm saying that baseball games have bad weather throughout each year & season & that something about it should be done.

This is ass lame argument. Many cities like Houston, maiming, Tampa, Dallas, Phoenix are hot as fuck for 95% of the season.

And yes I'm aware Dallas is an open air stadium and all I have to say is that being that close to Oklahoma means they're not that bright.

Baseball is baseball whether is played inside or outside.

Every stadium with a retractable roof is a dumber idea than robot umps. Hell, it's a worse idea than ketchup on hot dogs.

Cities that are hot 95% of the year can have their closed stadiums, but do you think Milwaukee needs their stadium closed for 50% if the year? I certainly am less interested in watching a game inside when the weather is nice outside.

This was not about taking retractable roofs away from teams that have them. This started with someone saying everyone should have to have a retractable roof.

I know that feeling. The white sox infield defense has been rather interesting.
one minute turning a double play like some of the best ever. the next minute failing to catch a routine ball.
