I have it at instant on at the moment, but I have tried that in the past. I do a hard reboot every time I try to play at this juncture though. I think that's more or less the equivalent of turning off instant on at this point. Also, Rocket League is literally the only game that gives us issues.

Wow the thirst is real for the triumph crates, just traded one for 2 keys lol. I'm not sure I even like anything in there apart from the hypnotik wheels and the dissolver skin.

Player numbers seem steady, it's grwoing rapidly as an esport and updates keep coming. Psyonix is still making a ton of money so no reason to see it fading. If player numbers ever fall off a cliff they can just go free to play.

I think it's super critical they keep doing what they're doing with Twitch, getting players to be viewers on eSports. People see Rocket League high on the list, notice that it's a popular game, try it, come back to it, etc. Rocket League is still very relevant due to Psyonix's maneuvering and consistent game updates, and I can't see that changing in the near future, unless Psyonix decideds to make a Rocket League 2

I'd say they have to fix their server issues, make the game more consistent, and offer more support to the competitive aspect of RL or it'll die as an esport. So many community organizations have died already.

I just yesterday wanted to say how it would be nice if they added option to remove announcements about how much time is left that appear in the middle of the screen because they can be distracting and they actually added that option in the new patch.

Anyone else getting heavy framerate drops in the menu after the update? Also, is there a way to allow music only during replays? Seems like the update made replays mute unless you play music during entire game.

Yup, sometimes ingame too. There was a funny glitch in one match where my boost meter disappeared and I had to go full eco mode because I never knew how much I had.
Also, vibration is on by default after the update and it's stroong, I almost dropped my controller after the first shot :D

This new update seems quite buggy. The menus literally freeze up for me after using the new filter options until I back out of the menu.

The in-game music options are confusing me as well. I'm not noticing any difference between "Always On" (which I assumed included loading screens and post-match screens, as it should) and "Matches Only," which I thought would literally be ... matches only. As in, the music stops when you find a match, the loading screen is silent, then a new song starts up when the match starts.

Ditto on the framedrops when going to the search for matches menu. Not the worst thing ever but kinda annoying. Performance seems fine in-game, I think.

Wow this is looking a LOT better in Switch Handheld. I do have to question their shadow choices. If I were to be selective about which shadows to implement, my first priority would be to give the ball a shadow to make depth/triangulating better for the player. Instead, they give the player car a shadow - totally unnecessary imo.

Still, now I feel a little more motivated to doll up my car now that it isn't a ps2 pixelated rectangle.

This is a really great update, especially on the Switch.
When's the crossplatfrom party update though?

Didn't feel like spending money on keys, but when I got the new crate I spent nintendo points on one.
Got certified reevrbs! They actually make a cool pattern when driving.

Yeah, it's bad. Had the UI freeze for a good 5 or so seconds, multiple times. Also lots more lag in game.

Anyway, how likely is it these spring fever crates will go back up in value once the event is over?

Can't imagine it's too likely since most of the crate contents aren't super fan favorites, and everyone got decryptors with it so a LOT were opened

Not really feeling the new UI for the ingame standings (the player stats). The transparency and design makes it very difficult to find everything compared to what it used to look like. Something to get used to I guess.

I have a digital copy on Switch and I was gifted the physical one, it says on the box it comes with some DLC.

I have the De Lorean DLC on my digital copy and I unlocked stuff I like... can I merge everything somehow?

They've fixed it for the most part on PC. Still some bugs with menus but no lag. It just takes longer on console. They need better QA people if they even have any.

Oh, so it's not just me!
The hang-ups in the menu are pretty annoying tbh and somehow the game lagged today strikingly often. For the most part pretty much unplayable.

I've gotten ton this season. 3 razzle wheels, the explosion, muffin toppers, and one or two others. Drops seem more prevalent for me.

Guys I need help. I'm pretty bad at rocket league (Gold 2 - Gold 3 in standard), and I've been told 1v1s help, but I'm really struggling with ranked 1v1. I'm in silver 2 and can't seem to find a single good match. Most people I play fit into two categories:

1. Veterans through Masters who are bad at rocket league just like myself (I'm a "Veteran"). Most of them don't know how to aerial or control the ball well, and I usually score often and early, resulting in a forfeit and a division up for me.
2. Rookies through Pros (alt accounts) that are dribbling and juking me every which way. I was already growing tired of this, and then the last match I played I literally had a rookie take the ball up the wall to the ceiling, air dribble it down, and redirect it over me into the top of the goal. And when I quick chatted "Wow!", he had the audacity to say "Thanks!". And then a division down :( These people definitely consist of about 1/3 of my recent matches, and I can't for the life of me figure out how they're in Silver 2. Do they throw matches to stay down here and play scrubs like me?

So whether I'm getting destroyed or feeling guilty for destroying less experienced players, I stay stagnant at Silver 2 while playing 1 minute long matches that don't have any meaningful learning experience for me. Any tips on escaping this mess of a solo rank?

Decided to input the Wrestlemania code hoping to get the NXT flag (seeing it's their best product by far) and the wheels. Wound up getting...the NXT flag and the wheels. If only I had that kind of luck with crates...

That toxicity is exactly what keeps me from playing more often. Despite getting and playing and enjoying the game at launch a good bit, I moved on to other games. Fast forward a couple years and my friend gets hooked on it and plays it quite frequently. He puts in a lot more time than I did/do/have so his skill level is significantly higher, we both know it but we have fun all the same. But sure enough even though we play strictly casual, we see all the time "carried" "training is in the menu" "you fukin suk neo" "ur trash. U wouldn't be anything without ur tm". Like, no shit, that's why the game mode is called casual. People just gotta be tryhard winners.

I'm enjoying the visual improvement for Switch, but I've run into a major issue three times since the update, which is that matches will run with the HUD almost entirely missing. I just see the score at the top, but I can't see the chat (although I can hear it beeping), I can't see my boost gauge, and I can't bring up the scoreboard overlay or pause menu. At the end of the match, the score and ranking board is entirely missing, as is the menu, so I have to guess by the sounds where I am in the menu. I've been able to exit once, but the other times it has got stuck in a loop, and I've had to quit the game entirely.

Anyone else have this problem?

Happened to me twice today. Another thing I noticed is that all the ranks on the scoreboard after a game are the same as mine.
Played with a friend with lower rank and on his screen we were all at his rank.
