I'm hoping they do most of the legendaries through research. Raids are incredibly boring and I'd prefer to entirely avoid ever using the game's god awful battle system again. (I'll probably still do a few raids for the Mew quest, but man does that battle system need an overhaul).
Damn wish I had checked because I would've pinaped instead of golden raspberried it. Oh well, got an 87% Moltres which I had never gotten before which is great.
Also walked around a ton and got my first Togetic and evolved my Magikarp. Very productive day.

Btw, I'm having some android questions:
1. The game has made my phone restart three times in a month, is this happening to anyone else? Does it have anything to do with game tools and screen touch lock that I'm using? I think it has restarted only when I try to unlock this mode. Might also be because of the magnification button that I use, in which case I should send a bug report to Samsung. I'm using Galaxy S9+.
2. The screen flashes white once when the game has finished loading and you see the map. It looks like when you take a picture in ios. Is this normal? It doesn't happen on ios.
I'd also love an option to keep the sprites.
And I'm super happy about the 7-day reward. I thought it would be random, but since everyone seems to have gotten

A little yeah. But, for most of us, once you hit lv 38, there is little reason to hit 40, as at 38 you can max out your Pokemon. So for me, lv 40 feels the same as when I hit 38 in Oct lol. But it does feel super nice.

Any idea what the week 2 reward will be? I saw people saying Moltres several days ago, so I assume there's a way to find out early?
The reason people were saying Moltres a few days ago is because it was part of the screenshots and other media given out to promote the quests feature.
People did start completing the final quest yesterday afternoon (european time) so if nothing else we should find out what the second one is around that time next week.
How did we figure out Moltres so early? Did Niantic post it somewhere? I feel like I saw it as far back as day one.

Any chance the dailies change as well? I feel like the reward encounters are weighted more heavily towards fire.

Maybe they'll change them up every legendary time period. I've been hunting the poison types each day to get Grimer encounters for my Muk. Also went out of my way to get the win 5 raids one for a Typhlosion.
Just getting bad draw on the quests. Have done 43 of them, but only one was a catch 10 that gave me Magikarp.
Being able to guarantee would be great though, since some people (like me) are only missing one of the birds. If everyone got a different one it would be awful since it might take months before I saw an Articuno.

Also, forgot to mention that I solo'd a Jolteon this past weekend for part of the quest. I knew I could fair it and succeed, but I was so close that I decided to see if I could beat it, and I did! Literally with like 3 seconds left. Used like 3 high power Rhydons in boosted weather to help greatly. Kinda makes me nostalgia about the 1st days of raids when I failed a Jolteon with someone else (no idea where). Tried twice, but couldn't do it, back during the days where barely had any ground pokemon worthy, esp with right moves.

The one week I'm actually able to go to ex raid gyms and do raids at them and it seems like there aren't any invites going out. At this rate I'm never getting a Mewtwo...

I'm 0/2, and I'll try again during the day. One of the fled Latios had 2566 CP, which stung a little. Trying again with two free passes. After I catch one or two, I'll stop Legendary Raids until Latias comes up. Would much rather hunt Tyranitar, but I never see those show up.

96% Moltres for me. Beefed it up so its got a higher Cp than my others which were less IV. Its not as good as Entei, right? So no need to power up too high?

They have previously been going out 2 days before the next one and the next one (for Europe anyway) is Sunday so they may go out tonight ?
Moltres has higher attack and double bug/grass resistance. Better fire attacks than Ho-Oh. Will still be best until Mega Charizard or something.
Got lucky and got off work pretty early today. Normally I can't catch ghosts during their nightly boosted spawn period, because I go to bed at 8pm and work at 4am, but I was actually able to get ghosts for my girlfriend and I. Got myself to the full 10 and her to 7. Now I just need 3 more Magikarp (she needs 299 candy still, lol).
