Yup, they just snuck out. Surprise!

Here's my haul from today. The figures themselves are super nice, but I'll admit the human faces were pretty iffy. I even got the packaging variant for the Hunter!

I also preordered all the new figures in the system (made sure they got put in the OT as well).

Yeah, turns out they were never actually PlayStation exclusives. The line is owned by ThinkGeek, and Totaku licensing is basically the equivalent of Funko--they're about to license a broader spectrum of franchises than just Sony stuff (as proven by Sonic and the newly listed figures). I eagerly await all the figure insanity!

I got Feisar and Crash yesterday at one of the Gamestops here. Not much interest in any of the others.

Space Invaders and potentially Lemmings sound tempting as well depending on the design of the figures. Really curious to see what else they come out with, as well.

Might as well sub to this too. Unlike going for 100% with Amiibos, this might be a pick-and-choose collection. Really liking the look of the Sonic! Saw the Crash and Heihachi today, and they really did just look like Amiibos!

Seeing the YGO! property is sure weird. Might get BEWD.

It's definitely a lot easier to pick and choose with Totaku. Not everyone wants a random ship or Tekken dudes.

buy all the things

I can't pick up my pre-orders for the original wave 1 until Sunday, but I'm jonesing to put them on a shelf. I haven't been this excited about a figure line since Marvel Legends came back.

The Gamestop I picked up my figs from had all of the Wave 1 ones stocked. I took a look at all of the ones I wasn't gonna pick up too, and frankly, I think Feisar is one of the best figs. It may not have a very intricate model, but the paintjob, oh my word. So many details.

If they plan on releasing more Wipeout vehicles, I probably will pick them up.

There's at least one more- the AG-SYS is pre-orderable.

So uhh anyone from Canada manage to grab some without preordering? I didn't preorder any cuz it didn't feel like there was much buzz about them, but the EB website shows em all as sold out already.

My EB had several various ones in stock on the floor. Apparently only myself and one other person were foolish enough to pre-order them, heh.

I have the Feisar ship and Bloodborne Hunter ordered. If they turn out well I could be interested in more.

Really? It wasn't on the preorder list at GS. Hmm...might have to toss that into the OT as well. I can imagine Totaku releases won't be as well communicated as amiibo, so information hunting will take a little more effort.

I'm gonna pop into my local GAME and see if they have Hunter, because I want Hunter so badly.
I was gonna get Crash but I have the first4figures Crash and I don't think I need it tbh.

I have returned, GAME had no Bloodborne Hunter :( but I was able to snag a Crash as a gift for my partners birthday in a couple of months. :)
I'm really looking forward to the classic Sonic. I remember reading a leaked list saying Artorias (Dark Souls) was coming? Was the leak real, is he confirmed?

He's available to pre-order in their systems right now; they haven't formally revealed the figure yet though.

To anybody eyeing the eventual Sonic Totaku, I would like to point out that KidRobot's Sonic blind-box collection includes an almost identical Sonic figurine. It's likely smaller than the Totaku version, but I actually prefer my tiny Sonic over how this newer one looks. (And I like the ring-design stand.) Issue, of course, is that you have to get it blind (or pay ~$15 on eBay), but this one is the most common of the Sonic blind set, at least.

My Gamestop only had THREE figures arrive, 2 Crash & 1 Evan from Ni no Kuni 2. Was really hoping they'd have Parappa as well, but least I was able to get Crash.

I have to admit, for $10, I am very pleased at how good they looked. Can't wait to get Parappa & Sonic so I can see what it looks like when you connect them together. Neat to see the variety of characters already.

Had no idea they've already planned more of these, including Space Invaders & freakin' Lemmings. As random as that feels, it's cool that they're trying to branch out in terms of who gets a figure. I would love for the Space Invaders one to be a totem pole made up of the enemies, but knowing them, it'll just be the "one" that everyone knows.

Crab. :)
Though since they're going to release multiple vehicles from Wipeout, I can see them releasing all enemy types from Space Invaders as well.
Yeah, that one. I forgot they had actual names. But yeah, I could see them making one for each of the 3 major enemy types (crab, octopus, & squid).

It'll be interesting to see which ones get additional figures, like if they do one for Tails since there's a Sonic one (or do a Modern Sonic) or a Dr. Cortex figure to go along with Crash. At this point, there's no telling what could get a figure since it's both old & new.

Hoping we get Coco for a second Crash figure.

Unrelated- they retweeted the Spyro trailer; would love a Spyro to compliment Crash and PaRappa.

I'm hoping for Tiny Tiger or Komodo Joe, myself, but especially the latter's probably a pipe dream. :p

I prefer the plus base and look of the totaku one but this is a nice alternative.

Dingodile!!! Would also settle on Coco.

There's so many cool possibilities since they can license so many series! Really excited to see all the new stuff.

I was told one idiot in Sweden had pre-ordered 4 hunters  and me and the shopowner got the other two.

The production problem and lack of availability makes me think Totaku is going to be really rare stuff

I was able to pick up all but the Hunter figure as unfortunately, my local Gamestop sold out on pre-orders and did not receive any extras. While I have a complete U.S amiibo collection, like many I have decided to only collect the figures for series I like for beyond these first few waves.

Impressions are good, while the figures are not as well made as amiibo or Disney Infinity in my opinion they are still solid for the price.

Galleries for those interested.

I hope they are rare now because they are just trying to gauge interest/sales at first. I talked to a couple stores and sounds like they only got a couple different ones in. Not that many were pre-ordered or even that people went crazy buying them, like with Amiibos. The distribution is weird, in that aspect.

I am a happy Drayco. No Hunters at my local Gamestops, but got the rest of wave 1 and pre orders for everything in the system. They look great! Even Heihachi, who I thought looked real dumpy in promo shots. The Wipeout ship really is the highlight though; had no idea it was mounted on a ball joint.

Going to hit the one by work tomorrow to see if there's any Hunters or Wave 2 there. Fingers crossed.

What region is pink LBP, anyhow? And what are the odds of getting a backwards-facing Hunter? I got it and may want the front-facing one too.

I agree, the lack of information and low distribution could lead to them becoming very rare, especially the backwards Hunter. Only time will tell.

I'm not really sure exactly where the pink packaging is, but the pictures I've seen have been in EU/UK while blue packaging seems to be US. The website doesn't really say.

In terms of the Hunter, apparently there's a certain percentage of them that arrive at the store backwards (and it's intentionally specified), but at my store they got all backwards Hunters.

tl;dr dunno

I'm just hoping that the ones (like Hunter) with adequate demand will receive a decent printing. Most stores in my area didn't get any in.

I picked up Evan, but not only was the box kinda crushed (wanted to do boxed photos for thdm like I did for my Amiibos before opening), but the paint on the face is two different colours, and there's paint flecs on the skirt(?) I think I'll try and find another to exchange :x

Question about the packaging (since not opening mine yet), does the little background/floor part come out of the box to use as a background for the figure?

If you want, you can even keep it in the plastic part, but yeah, even has the bottom part showing the character name & # part of the background. Even has ground detail. Gotta say, presentation wise, I certainly like these more than the Smash line of Amiibo. Helps each figure feel more unique.

Edit: Here ya go, I took a picture of how you could display it:

UNLIKE THAT CHEAPSKATE NINTENDO THAT MAEKS YA PAY FOR DA DISPLAYS

Nah, but seriously, that's another nice little touch to make them stand out more & give them more individuality. I would totally be up for these being part of a special edition compared to the giant ass statues that double the price & take up so much more room.
