Ropecaster + Blast SlingWhen you start Frozen Wilds on new game + on Ultra Hard fighting the first machine in the game, then trying to lower the difficulty, but the game wont allow it. To make things worse, I was completely rusty. I died like 7 times to the first machine. I never died that much to any machine in the main game before. Every machine I've encountered are so aggressive.
Lol you guys are making me nervous about hopping back in now. I started a NG+ on ultra hard when that patch dropped and got maybe half way through the campaign and put the game down. So, hopefully I'll be alright level wise going into the DLC.When you start Frozen Wilds on new game + on Ultra Hard fighting the first machine in the game, then trying to lower the difficulty, but the game wont allow it. Ha, that's pretty much what I did in the first game and now in the DLC. The machines seem more harder to take down.
The Greycatch Dam interior level design is much better than any of the interiors in the main game.
I'm level 50 with the armor and my ass is still getting kicked on Normal.Sorry if this was asked earlier. Is there a recommended level to start the DLC?
Yeah, realized how rusty I was when I died like 5 times to the first machine. Wrapped my grad back around it though. The controls are so good.I'm level 50 with the armor and my ass is still getting kicked on Normal.
There are three starting "quest givers," one being outside of Meridian, so it could have been him.Is the new quest that's just north of Meridian part of the DLC? Didn't realise you would get quests outside the new area.
Edit. Ignore that, all disappear once you go to one to get the Into The Frozen Wilds.
GIF, please.Technical rather than plot spoiler
There's parts where there's light snow that has settled on water. If you move through the water, the snow "melts", but it's entirely reactive to the point I was able to leave a single flake in tact.
Is the story like the main game where you discover what happened before the apocalypse?
Video is even better. Thanks! And I'm also impressed by that. Love these kinds of details in games.
Also starts to slowly fill in again after a while, but not in a line behind you, it sort of narrows along the path you've made. It looks like they paid as much attention to snow on the water as they did on the ground. I jumped off a high ledge and died and the snow was impacted from where I fell and, because I died, I rolled slightly and that flattened the snow as well. So many tiny details.Video is even better. Confused by this — should I download the DLC and have it embedded into my current playthrough or can I just beat the game and play the DLC in post-game.Sorry if this was asked earlier. Is there a recommended level to start the DLC?
"Horizon Zero Dawn: The Frozen Wilds is the Dark Souls: Artorias of the Abyss of Open World games"3 frostclaws, ultra hard... This shit's insane, thank God for the shield I have Jesus christ, finished it after dying 3 times, I barely died during normal game this is Souls like or worse, if I didn't have the shield I'd gave up.
It's recommended level 30 for the DLC, it basically adds another area, so can be done at, seemingly, any time. I just loaded up my completed save at level 50. Anyone who got platinum in the base game would be level 50.Confused by this — should I download the DLC and have it embedded into my current playthrough or can I just beat the game and play the DLC in post-game.
The recommended level is just confusing me because I thought the DLC was standalone content. If that's not the case then I guess I'll download it now if it just loads a whole new area unto my map
Quick question - do you need to have the main game installed in order to play this, or can it play on it's own like a lot of other DLCs?
Really manacing looking, far more than the original set.Scorchers were tricky at first, but I'm getting the hang of them. I'm loving all of the new machines so far.
Aren't you super overleveled at this point then? It's recommended level 30 for the DLC, it basically adds another area, so can be done at, seemingly, any time. I just loaded up my completed save at level 50. Anyone who got platinum in the base game would be level 50.
Ya due to some ways the game changes things up its harder than the original at the same level. Still won't be uber hard for some or anything.Nah. Granted I'm only level 45, but the DLC is still quite hard.
Sadly, yes, but I don't really want to do a new game to get to the point you can access the new DLC. I'm happy enough to experience the content and then go back and do everything in New Game +.
What level are you? I went in at 50 and am basically wrecking all round me.Not feeling this DLC so far. Only 2 hrs in though.
I left this game super powerful - not entirely sure what happened in the meantime, but my bows basically don´t do any damage anymore and my Shield Weaver armor is broken.
Don´t feel like I´m picking up where I left.
Max level I guess. Not sure what that is, but I did get the platinum. What level are you? I went in at 50 and am basically wrecking all round me.
