Now here's a question:

Did I somehow miss a 1X patch for Recore Definitive Edition? I played it last night with no prompt for a new patch, and while it plays very nicely, it didn't seem to have a resolution bump.

Digital Foundry are reporting some weird stuff with TitanFall 2's Scorpio patch, looks like it might take a little while to get the most out of the system:

If I had a 4K TV system, I'd probably be jumping on this. As it stands, I'm holding off for a while yet. My original PS4 is still doing well and most Xbox exclusives are available on PC anyway.

Played NFS:Payback for a few hours on my Scorpio Edition. Game is X enhanced so it should be using most of the horsepower. Yet... the console is whisper quiet. I mean it. There is basically no difference between the idle and ingame noise levels. This is fucking impressive. Compared to my PS4 Pro which randomly spins up and sounds like a jet engine depending on the scene, this is a blessing.
Also, the console is very slick looking, and just generally extremely well designed.
Very happy with it.

This game is the odd one out tho. And likely a bug with the scaling. Respawn are looking into it. :)

Playing now straight for 6 hours Origins. The console makes slight constant fan noise. Nothing bad. Just abit like a laptop makes. Doesnt go up or down like crazy.
Heat seems fine also. On top and at the back are warm but not hot. So seems like the cooling is working fine. Console is place on top of a table with alot of room arround it and i am located 1 meter from it.
I don't really mind average sounding fans, but cannot stand coil whine, like my old C-chassis PS4. I'm not seeing any reports of that happening so far (touch wood) so I think I'll be fine when I get my X!

My man! that's my set up aside from waiting for the new year to get my 1X, 3 week trip to UK to spend holidays with the wife's family was expensive but best believe I will be on that soon! Always props to my fellow gamers who gotta have it all! If it plays games it's got a place in my home regardless of company. Some may get dust more then others but it's still great to have all the options!

I'm sure this has been asked, but the thread is moving along pretty quickly. Anyone experience any screen dropouts (going black, then coming back a few seconds later)? I still have this issue on PS4 Pro, on my LG B6, and it's annoying as hell. I want to see if Microsoft has cleaned up the HDCP handshake issues. If so, I'll gladly pick up an X.

I've my ps4pro also hooked up to the LG B6 but never experienced any screen dropouts ...neither on the one X , only played for a couple of hours tho.

U sure its a HDCP handshake problem ?

Sorry to hear about the problems some are having. I'm glad most are really enjoying theirs. Congrats on the new consoles, folks -- it's a beaut.

I think I'm going to have to cancel my pre-order and wait, for a couple of reasons, but it might be a good thing. I'm planning to move, so it'll be nice to buy it after that and not have to worry about it getting damaged during the move.

I'll lose the Scorpio branding, but I don't think I really care about it.

So I bought an Xbox One X because I liked the idea of having a console with Dolby Atmos support. I also bought Tomb Raider to test it out and I was very disappointed to see that there's horrible audio lag with the system. Is this a known issue? I adjusted my Samsung HWK950 to have the least amount of audio delay as possible but it seems like there's still over 100 ms of delay. :(

I had this issue, figured out it was home cinema speakers going into standby if I had speakers plugged in.

I turned off auto-off on the speaker system, that resolved the issue

Would check your audio setting on the X1. Running a Denon AVR-X2300W with zero issue.

I was tempted to get an XOX to sit alongside my PRO but the lack of exclusives means I really cannot justify it.

I think in around 5 years time Microsoft will be a player again but right now they feel akin to Dreamcast era Sega...

What what whattttt??? Please don't ever compare the Dreamcast in the same comparison ever again lol

God dam how did that Dreamcast fail! Amazing game, first full online console experience, web TV included, official keyboard, light gun, VMU which meant mini games on the go!

Broke my heart hearing the news!

Piracy on the ps1 is what I blame that on ;) hell everyone I knew wanted a PlayStation 1 for the cheapness of games from the carboot sale lol

But yes I will agree Xbox really doesn't haven't much exclusives right now and I can't think of nothing even announced (weird because at the start of this generation Xbox held all the games and the PS4 had little)

So I'm baffled at the moment, I'm not super great at understanding A/V stuff so I could just not fundamentally understand some portion of my setup or not realize that it isn't supported. But I'm trying to watch Planet Earth 2 in 4k on UHD right now using my Xbox One X I just set up. But it keeps displaying in 1080p.

The main menu of the Xbox states it's in 2160p when I check my TV info settings, but when I switch over to the blu-ray app it immediately bumps back down to 1080p.

My TV is an older 4k TV and doesn't support HDR, but it says it supports 4k 60HZ and I currently have my Xbox One X plugged directly into the supported port on the TV.

This is the "video details" page on my Xbox One X right now, which it does say it should be able to play 4k Movies, so I'm really confused right now. Does anyone have any insight for me?

Still not out for delivery with amzl us... Sitting in facility about 5 miles away... Really hope they get it out soon, they do say until 8pm but they are usual early so I'm sweating it a bit.

Damn my Scorpio controller has a sort of annoying chirp to it (from the rumble pack) when playing Tomb Raider

There's a chance that your TV doesn't support HDCP2.2 which would explain why the XB1X kicks down to 1080p.

Ive had this issue on my S. It started with the new dashboard so im certain its a dashboard problem cause i never had this problem before and my tv supports all of it. I did a reset of my console and it still didnt fix it. Its the new dashboard im sure of it.

edit: Basically to fix it temporarily, you can choose HDMI instead of auto then go back to Auto and itll work....that is until you close your xbox and open it the next day where the issue will come back. This is why i despise this dash. Feels rushed as fuck.

edit2: wait, i might have a different issue then you. For me, it would show as that stuff isn't supported when i know it is. It only started happening with this latest dashboard for me. But my mode stays at 4K. It doesnt switch back to 1080.

Anyone using their 1X on a 1080p television? Noticed any improvements so far w/ enhanced games? I'm very curious about Dark Souls 3, FFXV, and Witcher 3 performance.
