I bought it on the EU shop, and I've still got the old icon. When I hit + it shows the new one in the top left though. Strange.
Nintendo needs better policies about the icons when developers submit their games. Microsoft is actually great at this as games icons are required to use their boxart, and games that launch with the wrong art are quickly changed. This is something that drives me nuts on PS4 as well but for some reason doesn't get discussed.
I had to restart my system for it to take effect. I had also fully deleted the tile at that point so you can try that too (this doesn't remove your save file).
Yeah. Like a week after the release. Did you update the game?
They changed it just a few days after the release. The new icon is visible in the OP.
Ah, I managed to change it! Shutting off the switch and turning it on again did the trick!
Expect the devs to "fix" it soon for some free promotion.

Hey Jonneh, it would appear some people in GameXplain's orbit have their copies of Tropical Freeze. (Maybe you too?) Can you pass along what it's icon looks like? I imagine (and hope) it's based on the box art, as usually applies with Nintendo titles, but I'm interested to see how or if they alter the composition.
Daan's the only one with the game atm so you're best off asking him. I haven't seen the embargo myself so I'm not entirely sure what we can and can't show. I imagine it's just a cropped box art though!

I'll be satisfied once we get Sonic Mania's new icon. I'd buy Plus if only to get a better icon... plus all the other cool stuff I guess.

Wow those look amazing. Nintendo's icons never fail to dissapoint (besides Splatoon 2, but that's like what, 1 in 16?).

That Battle Chasers: Nightwar icon is utterly criminal. Surely, just a placeholder until release... right? If not, I guess that's $39.99 I'll be saving!

Does anyone know if there's a a way of viewing all Switch icons in one tidy place? I know there's galarie: switch icons 2017 at abload.de but as the title suggests, that doesn't include any games released after 2017.

now please tell us if they're any good because reviews of both have not gone over too well.A few physical games I picked up... not sure if these two have been posted. (oddly enough the physical versions are cheaper than the digital)

After trying both... not good. Frame rate is horrible on both. I actually had some fun with the Snow one once I got the hang of the controls but the water race one is flat out horrible.
I would stay clear.. I bought them just for the physical have on the shelf but I at this point wish I had put the money towards South Park..
